Trammell is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the White Sox.

Though he'll be on the bench while the White Sox send southpaw Anthony Kay to the hill for the series opener, the left-handed-hitting Trammell appears to have usurped LaMonte Wade in the strong side of a platoon in the corner outfield. Trammell cracked the lineup for each of the Astros' last five matchups with right-handed starters, but he went just 1-for-15 with a 1:2 BB:K during that stretch.

Diaz is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the White Sox.

The Astros will hand Diaz a day off after he had started behind the plate in three of the previous four contests. Christian Vazquez will handle catching duties for Houston in its series opener versus Chicago.

Altuve is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the White Sox.

Altuve will hit the bench for the first time since Aug. 12, ending a streak of 15 consecutive starts. He'll be spelled at second base by Nick Allen, who will bat eighth.

Carter is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Athletics.

The left-handed-hitting Carter will retreat to the bench while the Athletics send southpaw Gage Jump to the hill for the series opener. Ezequiel Duran will replace Carter in center field and will bat leadoff.

Pederson is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Athletics.

Walton is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Rangers.

After making starts in the middle infield for the final two games of the Athletics' weekend series versus the Orioles, Walton will hit the bench for the first of three contests in Arlington. Jeff McNeil will cover the keystone and Darell Hernaiz will draw the start at shortstop Monday.

Leasure underwent surgery to repair a torn UCL in August, James Fegan of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Leasure will miss the remainder of this season and likely all of next season while on the mend. Fegan notes that the right-hander hopes to be ready for spring of 2028. Leasure landed on the injured list in late May with a right flexor strain, and while he had been cleared to resume throwing side sessions at the beginning of August, it was ultimately determined that he needed to go under the knife to repair his UCL.

Lombard (knee) is not listed in the Yankees' starting lineup against the Angels on Monday, per Chris Kirschner of The Athletic.

Lombard will miss his second consecutive game after injuring himself during Saturday's matchup against Boston. Jose Caballero will once again man shortstop and bat eighth for New York. Manager Aaron Boone noted before the matchup that Lombard did some running earlier in the day, and he's unsure if the rookie will be available off the bench, per Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News.

Jung (calf) has been cleared for full baseball activities and could begin a rehab assignment as soon as this weekend, Jeff Wilson of AllDLLS.com reports.

Jung did some running Monday and said afterward that it went well, though it seems he's still not quite 100 percent with his running at this point. He will continue to ramp things up this week, with the goal of playing in rehab games by the weekend if all goes well. Jung has been sidelined for more than a month with a left calf strain.

Ginn will no longer start Tuesday's game against the Rangers, as the Athletics want to give him additional rest before his next outing, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

Ginn has already logged a career-high 138.1 innings this season, so the decision to push him back could simply be about managing his workload. The right-hander is expected to make a start later this week in Seattle, though the exact date hasn't been revealed.
