Caglianone went 2-for-4 with a home run, an additional RBI and an additional run scored in Friday's win over the Cardinals. Caglianone has gone yard in back-to-back games for the first time this season, and it seems he's finally rediscovering his power stroke. He didn't launch his first homer of the season until April 20, but he has hit five of his 10 long balls since the beginning of June, slashing .365/.444/.651 with 13 RBI, 14 runs scored, two steals and a 7:19 BB:K in 17 games this month.

Caglianone was removed from Saturday's game against the Twins with right shoulder soreness. The severity of his injury remains unknown, but the Royals could provide more details on his status after the game.

  • Royals' Jac Caglianone: Logs first stolen base

Caglianone went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base in Saturday's 5-0 win over the Mariners. Caglianone contributed to the Royals' three-run first inning with a two-out RBI single before promptly stealing second base. It marked the 23-year-old's first successful stolen base of the season after he was caught in his lone previous attempt April 4 against the Brewers. Speed isn't exactly the right fielder's calling card, but he's also shown improvement at the plate in his second big-league season. Caglianone is slashing .247/.310/.416 with 15 extra-base hits (five homers), 11 RBI and 18 runs across 47 games in 2026 after mustering just a .532 OPS over 62 contests in 2025.

Caglianone went 3-for-3 with a triple and a walk in Wednesday's 2-1 loss to the Tigers. He added singles in both the seventh and ninth but never crossed the plate. Entering Wednesday, the former sixth overall pick had gone just 3-for-27 (.111) with a 2:12 BB:K over his previous eight games. Caglianone is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Guardians. Caglianone will give up his usual spot in right field to Starling Marte, who will bat eighth.

  • Royals' Jac Caglianone: Scores three times in big win

Caglianone went 3-for-4 with a double and three runs scored in Wednesday's 13-9 win over the Twins. Caglianone has logged multiple hits in two of five games so far. The outfielder has added two doubles, one walk and four strikeouts over 15 plate appearances. The 23-year-old struggled to a .157/.237/.295 slash line with seven home runs, 18 RBI, 19 runs scored and a stolen base over 62 contests during 2025 in his first taste of major-league action. He has some work to do to prove he's taken a step up from last year, but aside from the strikeout problem, he's on the right track early in 2026. Caglianone is filling a strong-side platoon role in right field.

  • Royals' Jac Caglianone: Drives first homer of spring

Caglianone went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Tuesday's Cactus League loss to the Reds. Caglianone showcased his raw power, launching a tape-measure blast off Brandon Williamson that left the bat at 115.2 mph and traveled 460 feet in the fourth inning. It marked his first homer of the spring and came against a southpaw after he slashed .180/.254/.377 with five extra-base hits and five RBI in 67 plate appearances versus left-handers last season. After a disappointing debut campaign in which he posted a .532 OPS with 14 extra-base hits and 18 RBI over 62 games, there remains plenty of intrigue and excitement surrounding the 2024 first-round pick, though Caglianone still has much to prove heading into the 2026 regular season.
