Guzman went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 9-2 loss against the Brewers.

Guzman belted his first career homer Tuesday, driving a Freddy Peralta pitch to straightaway center field in the fifth inning to get the Angels on the board. The 21-year-old has opened his big-league career 3-for-9 across three games and should continue to see steady opportunities down the stretch with Zach Neto (hand) sidelined.

Torkelson went 4-for-5 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 7-5, 10-inning loss to the Guardians.

Torkelson was dialed in all night as he delivered his first four-hit performance of the season. He saved his best for last, belting his 29th home run of the year in the bottom of the 10th inning as the Tigers tried to cut into a 7-3 deficit. Torkelson is now two away from tying his career high of 31 homers, which he recorded back in 2023. Tuesday's long ball snapped an 18-game stretch without a home run for the 26-year-old slugger.

Dana (0-2) took the loss Tuesday, allowing five runs on eight hits and three walks over 3.2 innings against the Brewers. He struck out four.

Dana struggled to settle in Tuesday, surrendering runs in each of the four innings he pitched. The Angels like his raw stuff and strikeout potential, but consistency has remained an issue both in the minors and the majors. Across 18 starts and 82 innings at Triple-A Salt Lake, he carries a 5.93 ERA and 1.59 WHIP, while his five MLB outings have produced a 7.45 ERA and 1.86 WHIP over 19.1 innings.

Carpenter didn't get the start with Cleveland sending lefty Joey Cantillo to the mound, but the former still managed to have an impact. Appearing as a pinch hitter in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Detroit outfielder went deep to tie the game at 3-3 and force extra innings. Carpenter has been in a nice power groove recently with four long balls in his last 10 games, and he's already set a new career high with 26 home runs this season.

Torres went 1-for-5 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Tuesday's 7-5, 10-inning loss to the Guardians.

Torres struck in the third inning with his second home run of September and 16th of the season. Outside of the long balls, it's mostly been a struggle this month for the Detroit infielder, as he's batting just .152 across 13 games. Overall, Torres has been much better with a .254 average through 135 games, and his 16 homers and 73 RBI have both surpassed the totals he posted last year with the Yankees.

Fitzgerald went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and an additional run scored in Tuesday's loss against the Yankees.

Fitzgerald launched his third career homer in Tuesday's loss, turning on a cutter in a lefty-lefty battle against Ryan Yarbrough. Though his playing time has been sporadic, the infielder has made the most of recent opportunities, going 5-for-14 with two long balls and six RBI so far in September.

Bednar picked up the save Tuesday against the Twins. He allowed a solo homer while striking out one over an inning.

The right-hander surrendered a deep shot to Trevor Larnach with one out in the ninth inning but settled in to retire the next two batters, locking down a Yankees win and his 25th save. Since arriving at the deadline, Bednar has been solid in pinstripes, compiling a 2.75 ERA, 0.97 WHIP, eight saves, three wins and three blown saves across 17 outings.

Grisham went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run, an additional RBI and an additional run scored in Tuesday's 10-9 win over the Twins.

Grisham played a big part in Tuesday's slugfest, pacing the Yankees with three RBI. The center fielder is putting together a career-best season, slashing .238/.347/.465 with nine doubles, a triple, 31 homers and 67 RBI through 133 games. The homer and RBI did both break a rare nine-game drought where Grisham was shut out in both categories.

Matthews (4-6) took the loss Tuesday, allowing nine runs on 11 hits and two walks over three innings in a 10-9 loss against the Yankees. He struck out two.

Matthews was tagged for runs in each of the three innings he worked Tuesday, failing to find a groove before being pulled. The 25-year-old has endured a tough season, posting a 5.97 ERA and 1.58 WHIP across 15 starts and 72.1 innings. Still, there are reasons for optimism in his underlying metrics, including a 3.85 FIP and 3.4 K/BB pointing to better potential than the surface stats suggest.
