Berroa is dealing with right elbow inflammation and will have his rehab stint paused, James Fegan of SoxMachine.com reports.

Berroa underwent Tommy John surgery last March and was just recently cleared to begin a rehab assignment. He begin that stint with Chicago's Arizona Complex League club Wednesday but threw only four pitches (all balls) before being removed. It's unclear when he'll be able to resume throwing.

Teel (hamstring) tweaked his right knee while taking a swing in a minor-league rehab game Saturday night, and he's set to be re-evaluated Tuesday, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.

Teel was playing in his fourth rehab game with Triple-A Charlotte and appeared to be nearing his season debut for the White Sox. The catcher isn't in Charlotte's lineup Sunday, and it probably won't be clear when he'll be able to play again until after he's re-evaluated Tuesday. Teel had gone 4-for-15 with a home run and two RBI during his rehab stint at Triple-A.

Paredes isn't starting Sunday versus Texas.

Paredes has been a regular at third base for the Astros since Carlos Correa (ankle) was lost for the season, but he'll get at least a partial day off after going just 2-for-19 over his past five contests. Braden Shewmake is starting at the hot corner Sunday.

Anthony (wrist) is slated to starting swinging a bat by hitting flips Monday, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.

This is a big step for Anthony, as it will be his first time swinging a bat since landing on the IL with a right wrist injury in early May. The talented young outfielder will presumably still have several obstacles to clear -- including hitting off a machine and facing live pitching -- but he appears to at least be making progress in his recovery. A timeline for his return to the Red Sox should become clearer as he moves along in his hitting progression.

Rutschman is absent from Baltimore's starting lineup Sunday versus the Rangers.

Rutschman will get a well-deserved breather after starting the previous eight games, including five consecutive starts behind the plate. Samuel Basallo, who has frequently served as the DH, will get a turn at catcher Sunday.

Bell isn't in the Twins' starting lineup Sunday against Milwaukee.

Bell had started eight straight games but went just 6-for-33 with a whopping 17 strikeouts and no walks during that stretch. He'll get at least a partial day off Sunday while Ryan Jeffers gets a day off his feet as the Twins' DH.

Altuve (side) isn't in Houston's starting lineup Sunday against Texas.

It's not a surprise that Altuve isn't starting after he exited Saturday's matchup in the ninth inning with a left side injury. The star second baseman is slated to have an MRI taken Sunday, but GM Dana Brown said the "early signs" are that Altuve is dealing with an oblique injury, per Chandler Rome of The Athletic. Brice Matthews is starting at second base for the Astros on Sunday.

Seager (back) is not in Texas' starting lineup Sunday versus the Astros.

Seager is out of the lineup for the third straight day, as he's said to be dealing with minor back spasms. The veteran shortstop is considered day-to-day, and it's unclear if he's available off the bench. Ezequiel Duran is starting at shortstop for the second straight day in Seager's stead.

The Tigers placed Madden on the 15-day injured list Sunday due to a bruised right forearm.

Madden was injured during his appearance in a 3-2 win over the Blue Jays on Friday, when he was struck by a comebacker. Subsequent X-rays were negative, but the right-hander is nonetheless going to need to take some time off. Right-hander Will Vest (forearm) was activated from the 15-day injured list in a corresponding roster move, though it's unclear which pitcher will take Madden's spot in the rotation.

Buxton (hip) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Brewers.

It's the fourth straight contest on the bench for Buxton as he continues to manage a hip injury. It's not clear how seriously the Twins have considered placing the outfielder on the injured list, but that possibility grows more likely with each additional game he misses. Ryan Kreidler is manning center field Sunday.
