Witt went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's loss to the Orioles.

Witt led off the bottom of the first with a no doubter to center field, but he could not generate anything else at the plate. The 23-year-old has yet to find some consistency on offense so far this season. He's now slashing .221/.264/.410 with five homers, 11 RBI, 18 runs, seven steals and a 7:28 BB:K over 129 plate appearances.

Neto went 2-for-5 with an RBI in Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Cardinals.

Neto singled home a run in the sixth to pad the Angels' lead to 5-1. The 22-year-old is beginning to settle in as the leadoff man for the Halos after starting his third consecutive game in the No. 1 spot. He has multiple hits in three of his last four games and is now slashing .263/.354/.333 with five RBI, four runs and a 1:10 BB:K over 65 plate appearances.

Turner went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Tuesday's 13-1 loss to the Dodgers.

The Phillies mustered only two hits Tuesday, with Turner's blast off Julio Urias accounting for the visitors' lone run. After hitting .298 with an .809 OPS with the Dodgers last year, Turner's Phillies career is off to a slower start. He's slashed .262/.304/.392 with three homers, eight RBI, 18 runs scored and four stolen bases over 138 plate appearances, but he's also striking out at a 24.6 percent rate. He's shown signs of turning things around by hitting safely in each of the last four games.

Franco went 1-for-3 with a walk, an RBI and a stolen base Tuesday against the Pirates.

Franco grounded into a pair of double plays but rebounded with an RBI single in the fifth inning. He proceeded to swipe second base on a double steal, during which Jose Siri also stole home. Franco now has seven stolen bases across 121 plate appearances on the season after swiping only 10 bases across 652 career plate appearances entering the campaign.

Duran went 3-for-4 with a double, a two-run home run and an additional run in Tuesday's 6-4 win over the Diamondbacks.

The Rangers fell behind 4-1 but took the lead for good with a sixth-inning two-run shot from Duran. With Corey Seager on the 10-day injured list, Duran is getting an extended look at shortstop and delivering nicely with a .328/.357/.522 slash line.

Tovar went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Tuesday's win over the Brewers.

Tovar cranked a Freddy Peralta fastball 460 feet in the third inning to start the scoring. It was the shortstop's first home run of the season and second of his career. The 21-year-old is off to a slow start, slashing .217/.265/.337. Adding to the disappointment, Tovar has yet to pick up his first career big-league steal after swiping 74 bags across four seasons in the minors.

Bogaerts is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Reds.

This appears to be a planned day of rest for Bogaerts, who singled and scored a run in Monday's series opener versus Cincinnati and carries a .304/.392/.500 slash line through his first 130 plate appearances with the Padres. Ha-Seong Kim is playing shortstop Tuesday and batting seventh.

Luciano (back) was activated off the injured list Tuesday at Double-A Richmond, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Luciano missed the first month of the 2023 minor-league season after suffering a stress fracture in his lower back while playing in the Dominican Winter League. Now with a clean bill of health, the 21-year-old top shortstop prospect can continue his ascent through the Giants' system. He registered an .817 OPS in 65 games last summer between the rookie-level Arizona Complex League and High-A Eugene.

Oakland placed Diaz (hamstring) on the 10-day injured list Tuesday.

Though Diaz's hamstring strain is believed to be of the Grade 1 variety, the Athletics will err on the side of caution and have the infielder take at least the next week and a half off rather than having him play through the minor injury. Nick Allen was recalled from Triple-A Las Vegas in a corresponding move and should see plenty of playing time at shortstop while Diaz remains sidelined.

Oakland recalled Allen from Triple-A Las Vegas on Tuesday, Matt Kawahara of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Allen comes up to replace Aledmys Diaz after the latter was placed on the 10-day injured list. In 17 plate appearances with Oakland prior to being demoted to Triple-A, Allen hit just .063, but he performed well in his time with Las Vegas and should see plenty of reps at shortstop with Diaz on the shelf.
