Seager underwent an MRI that revealed swelling and inflammation in his injured elbow, Andy McCullough of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Seager will remain shut down through at least Monday. Although swelling and inflammation certainly can't be considered good news, it's better than the alternative of structural damage. Seager will attempt to throw next week, and his return plan will be dictated by the results of those sessions.

Lindor is out of the lineup for Game 2 of Friday's doubleheader in Detroit.

He went 1-for-4 with a walk, an RBI and a strikeout in the first game of the twin bill. Giovanny Urshela gets the rare start at shortstop and will hit eighth against righty Buck Farmer.

Bogaerts is out of Friday's lineup against the Yankees, Ian Browne of MLB.com reports.

He was pulled for a pinch hitter in the ninth inning of Thursday's game, but no injury has been revealed and it seems he was just pulled due to his recent slump -- which could also be the cause of his absence Friday. Eduardo Nunez will start at shortstop and lead off.

Mondesi was recalled from Triple-A Omaha on Friday.

Mondesi certainly has the tools and Triple-A performance to suggest he could be a fantasy asset down the stretch, but it's far less certain that he will get enough starts to make an impact. He probably represents an upgrade over Alcides Escobar at shortstop, but the veteran may get preferential treatment from manager Ned Yost. Mondesi hit .305/.340/.539 with 13 home runs and 21 steals in 85 games in the Pacific Coast League, and is still just 22 years old.

Correa (thumb) will come off the DL and be inserted into Sunday's lineup against the Mets, Richard Justice of MLB.com reports.

This was always the expectation, assuming Correa did not experience any setbacks in his rehab games Thursday and Friday, but now we have confirmation. Correa should be deployed in all formats down the stretch.

Rojas is not in the lineup for Friday's game against Philadelphia, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.

Rojas will get the night off following a 1-for-4 day at the plate, with a double, during Thursday's loss. In his place, Mike Aviles draws the start at shortstop.

Anderson (hamstring) is starting at shortstop and leading off Friday against the Rays.

He missed the last game with the hamstring issue, but will be back for this weekend's series. This will be his 10th time leading off since the start of August, as he fluctuates between the top spot and the bottom third of the order. Anderson is hitting .241/.255/.420 with five home runs and one steal in 162 at-bats since the All-Star break.

Turner went 3-for-4 with a double, a triple, two runs scored, an RBI and a stolen base in Thursday's loss to the Brewers.

After going 1-for-7 in his first two games since returning from the DL, Turner found his stroke again. The 24-year-old hasn't supplied quite as much power or batting average as he did in 73 games last year, but his 37 steals in 71 games in 2017 have still given him plenty of value when he's been healthy.

Vincej was called up to Cincinnati on Friday.

Vincej will make his first trip to the majors after spending all of 2017 with Triple-A Louisville. The 26-year-old slashed .270/.325/.370 with three home runs and 38 RBI in 110 games for the Bats, and looks to provide added depth in the middle of the infield for Cincinnati.

The Blue Jays called up Urena from Double-A New Hampshire on Friday, John Lott of The Athletic Toronto reports.

In his second campaign at New Hampshire, Urena's batting average took a bit of a dip from .266 to .247, while he compiled five home runs and 60 RBI in 551 plate appearances. He'll occupy a bench role while the Blue Jays finish up the regular season.
