Turner is benched for Tuesday's game against the Brewers.

As expected, Turner will be forced to sit out after refusing to run to first base following a failed bunt attempt Monday. There haven't been any suggestions that Turner will be held out for more than one game, so expect him back in the lineup Wednesday.

Diaz is out of Tuesday's lineup against the Twins, Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

It certainly seems that Lourdes Gurriel, who was activated from the disabled list Sunday and has started the last three games, has passed Diaz on the organizational depth chart at shortstop. Diaz is hitting .289/.304/.489 with two home runs in 15 games (45 at-bats) this month, so the Jays should still find some playing time for him, but don't expect him to play every day going forward.

Mondesi was reinstated from the family medical emergency list prior to Tuesday's game against the Tigers.

This was an anticipated move for Mondesi, who was away from the team for four games to deal with some family issues. He is hitting .297/.316/.514 with two home runs and two steals (on four attempts) in 10 games (37 at-bats) in July. Look for him to be in the lineup most days over the rest of the season, as he is one of the few building blocks on the big-league roster.

Adames went 1-for-4 with a run in a win over the Yankees on Monday.

Adames was recalled from Triple-A Durham prior to Sunday's series finale against the Marlins, going 0-for-3 with a walk in that contest. The 22-year-old is currently filling in at his customary shortstop spot with Adeiny Hechavarria nursing an oblique injury, but he also slotted in at second base for multiple games in his first stint with the Rays this season when manager Kevin Cash opted to get both him and Hechavarria in the lineup.

Rojas (back) is out of the lineup Tuesday against the Braves, Andre Fernandez of the Miami Herald reports.

Rojas will head to the bench after suffering from back spasms during Monday's game, ending a streak of three straight starts for the infielder. The Marlins seem to be viewing Rojas as day-to-day, but it's unclear if he'll be available off the bench Tuesday.

Turner will likely be benched for Tuesday's matchup against Milwaukee, Chelsea Janes of The Washington Post reports.

Turner attempted to bunt for a base hit during Monday's tilt, and after a poorly executed attempt, he refused to run to first base as he started launching his equipment onto the field prior to being ruled out. After the game, manager Dave Martinez stated, "There's a good chance he won't play tomorrow." Expect Wilmer Difo to get the nod at shortstop with Turner likely to ride the pine Tuesday due to a lack of hustle.

Herrera went 3-for-5 with a double and run scored Monday against the Tigers.

Herrera recorded his third three-hit game of the season and first extra-base hit since July 3. He has struggled to hit for any type of power -- he has no home runs and just a .343 slugging percentage through 102 at-bats -- but has recorded at least one hit in eight of his last 10 appearances. He appears poised to hang onto the everyday role in center field, though the addition of Brian Goodwin does add more competition to remain in the lineup.

Rojas was removed from Monday's tilt against Atlanta due to back spasms, Andre Fernandez of the Miami Herald reports.

It's currently unknown if Rojas will be healthy enough to play Tuesday, although he'll likely be reevaluated prior to the tilt. Rojas went 1-for-2 with a walk prior to leaving the ballgame.

Manager Ned Yost said Mondesi will likely return from the Family Medical Emergency List prior to Tuesday's game, Rustin Dodd of The Athletic reports.

Mondesi was placed on emergency leave prior to Friday's series opener against Minnesota, but it appears as though he's nearing a return to the active roster as the team begins a three-game set versus Detroit on Monday. Across 21 games with the Royals this year, he's slashed .250/.270/.444 with 11 RBI and five stolen bases.

Ahmed is not in the lineup Monday against the Cubs.

Ahmed had a three-RBI day Sunday in Colorado but won't get the chance to build on that performance right away. Ketel Marte will slide over to shortstop, with Daniel Desclaso starting at second base.
