O'Malley (shoulder) has gone 6-for-9 with a home run and three RBI over the last two games of his rehab assignment with Double-A Arkansas.

O'Malley had produced only one hit in 19 at-bats in his previous six games with Arkansas, but his standout performances the last two days suggest that he might have knocked off the rust after being sidelined through early July while recovering from an appendectomy, followed by arthroscopic shoulder surgery. The utility man's rehab window will draw to a close soon, so he could be activated from the 60-day disabled list at some point later in August. O'Malley may occupy the bench role that Taylor Motter had previously filled for the Mariners before Motter was ultimately optioned to Triple-A Tacoma on July 24.

Correa (thumb) had his first day of workouts after undergoing surgery July 19, David Barron of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Correa said he was a bit winded but he needs to maintain his conditioning while the thumb recovers. The 22-year-old shortstop is due back sometime in September.

Featherston was recalled from Triple-A Durham on Monday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

With Tim Beckham having been dealt to the Orioles just before the trade deadline, Featherston will head back to the majors to fill his spot on the active roster. Despite the promotion, the 27-year-old looks like nothing more than a bench option, given his awful .161 career batting average in the big leagues.

The Yankees agreed to trade Mateo to the A's on Monday along with Dustin Fowler and James Kaprielian in exchange for Sonny Gray, Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports reports.

The belief all along was that the Yankees were the favorites for Gray, and indeed, the two sides got something done in the 11th hour. Mateo struggled with High-A Tampa to begin the year, but the Yankees promoted him in late June anyway; he rewarded the organization for its trust, slashing .300/.381/.525 with four homers and 11 steals in 30 Double-A games. His excellent speed and emerging power have Mateo firmly within the top 100 in terms of dynasty-league prospects.

Lindor went 1-for-4 with a solo home run during Sunday's loss to the White Sox.

The power output has slowed down considerably, as this was just Lindor's second round tripper through his past 33 games (and his 16th on the season). However, he's still tilting the fantasy scales in all settings with a .271/.330/.466 slash line, 49 RBI, six stolen bases and 58 runs. It's rare to find that level of cross-category production from the shortstop position.

Adrianza will start at shortstop and bat seventh Sunday against the Athletics, LaVelle E. Neal III of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

Adrianza will pick up his third start in four games, and should remain one of the main beneficiaries of manager Paul Molitor phasing the struggling Jorge Polanco out of the lineup. Along with Polanco, Eduardo Escobar is still in the mix for starts at shortstop, but Escobar's ability to play other positions should allow Adrianza to see semi-regular at-bats so long as his production warrants it. Adrianza is batting .293 and has chipped in six steals across 95 plate appearances with the big club this season.

Bogaerts went 2-for-4 with a walk in Saturday's 9-8 win over the Royals.

Bogaerts snapped an 0-for-18 skid when he singled in the fourth inning Saturday. He was originally out of the lineup but was inserted when Eduardo Nunez moved to second base to cover for the injured Dustin Pedroia (knee). With Pedroia expected back Sunday, perhaps Bogaerts will get that day off.

Bogaerts has been added to Saturday's starting lineup, Tim Britton of The Providence Journal reports.

He was originally slated to ride the pine, but Bogaerts was inserted into the lineup following Dustin Pedroia's scratch. Bogaerts has hit just .128/.180/.170 since the All-Star break while battling through groin and hand injuries.

Bogaerts is out of the lineup for Saturday's game against the Royals, The Providence Journal's Tim Britton reports.

Bogaerts retreats to the bench after starting the past three games and going 0-for-13 with four strikeouts during that span. Manager John Farrell likely wants his shortstop to clear his head and continue to recover from groin and hand injuries that have plagued him for an extended period of time. Eduardo Nunez draws the start in his place.

Anderson, who is struggling during his second season in MLB, is still viewed as part of the White Sox's rebuild, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

This season has been a difficult one for Anderson, who went 0-for-4 on Thursday and is hitting .239 through 88 games. One scout feels Anderson was rushed last season and is still figuring out the majors. Fantasy owners are certainly disappointed with Anderson but the White Sox are taking a longer view.
