Mondesi (oblique) is still resting to let his injury fully heal as of Monday, Alec Lewis of The Athletic reports.

Mondesi has been on the injured list since the start of the regular season after he tweaked his oblique late in spring training. The 25-year-old has been resting as the team doesn't want to rush him back and risk a setback that would force him to miss additional time. Manager Mike Matheny declined to give a timetable for Mondesi's return Monday, but Nicky Lopez should continue to fill in at shortstop while Mondesi is sidelined.

Wendle is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Yankees, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Rays manager Kevin Cash will drop two of his lefty-hitting regulars from the lineup in Wendle and Yoshi Tsutsugo in order to make room for more right-handed bats to counter Yankees southpaw Jordan Montgomery. Anderson estimated Thursday that he's about 85 percent recovered from his left hamstring strain, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.

Assuming Anderson's assessment of his injury aligns with the opinion of Chicago's team doctors, the shortstop could be in store for a minimum-lengthy stay on the 10-day injured list after he was deactivated Wednesday. He'll still have a few hurdles to clear in the recovery process before the White Sox reinstate him from the IL, including running the bases and playing the field with no visible limitations. As long as Anderson remains on the shelf, the White Sox will likely turn to Leury Garcia and Danny Mendick to fill in at shortstop.

Bogaerts isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Orioles, Ian Browne of MLB.com reports.

Bogaerts went 3-for-3 with two runs in Wednesday's win over the Rays and has had two multi-hit games in his last three appearances. However, Marwin Gonzalez will start at shortstop Thursday, batting sixth.
