Baez is not in the Tigers' starting lineup against the Padres on Saturday.

The Tigers will tweak their lineup for Saturday's game, moving Kevin McGonigle to shortstop and Colt Keith to third base while Kerry Carpenter serves as the designated hitter. Through two regular-season games, Baez has gone 1-for-7 with one walk and two strikeouts.

Neto went 2-for-5 with a solo home run, an additional run and a double against Houston in a 6-2 win Friday.

Neto capped the scoring in the victory with a solo shot in the ninth inning. The talented young shortstop went 0-for-5 in the Angels' season opener Thursday, but he turned things around with the two extra-base hits one game later. Neto is among fantasy's most coveted shortstops after recording a .793 OPS with 26 homers and 26 stolen bases over 128 contests last year.

Pena is not in the Astros' starting lineup against the Angels on Saturday, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Pena will take a seat after going 2-for-5 with a run scored and a stolen base in Friday's 6-2 loss to the Angels. Carlos Correa will shift over to shortstop while Isaac Paredes gets the start at third base Saturday. Pena appears fully recovered from the fractured fingertip he sustained in early March, but the Astros may continue to monitor his workload in the early going after he missed most of spring training.

Alexander is not in the Orioles' starting lineup against the Twins on Saturday.

Alexander drew the start at second base Thursday, going 1-for-3 with an RBI single in the seventh inning. He'll be on the bench for the start of Saturday's game while Jeremiah Jackson starts at the keystone and bats ninth.

Muncy is starting at third base and batting seventh in Saturday's game against the Blue Jays.

Muncy started at the hot corner for Opening Day on Friday against Toronto, going 0-for-3 with two strikeouts. It looks like the 23-year-old is the A's preferred option at third base to open the 2026 regular season, though Andy Ibanez and Darell Hernaiz could see some starts of their own if Muncy struggles early on. Muncy made his major-league debut in March of 2025 and finished last season with a .638 OPS with one steal, nine home runs and 23 RBI over 220 plate appearances.

Clement went 2-for-4 with two doubles and a run scored in Friday's win over the A's.

It was a strong start to the season for the 30-year-old infielder, who's expected to be Toronto's everyday second baseman now that Andres Gimenez is sliding over to shortstop to replace Bo Bichette. Clement posted a respectable .277/.313/.398 slash line in 2025 with nine homers and six steals in 157 regular-season games while bouncing all around the infield, but having a stable defensive home could allow him to find another level at the plate.

Barger is not in the Blue Jays' starting lineup against the Athletics on Saturday.

With left-hander Jeffrey Springs taking the mound for the Athletics on Saturday, Barger will open the contest in the dugout while the Blue Jays go with Davis Schneider, Daulton Varsho and Myles Straw in the outfield from left to right. Barger went 0-for-4 with a strikeout on Opening Day on Friday.

After being held out Opening Day, Pena made his season debut hitting leadoff and set the table very effectively. The shortstop missed most of spring training and a chance to play for the Dominican Republic during the WBC, as a result of a fractured fingertip he sustained in early March, but Pena recovered in time to avoid a stint on the IL and appears to be fully healthy.

Young went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run in Friday's 5-1 win over the Guardians.

Young was held hitless Thursday, going 0-for-3 with three strikeouts to start the season. He bounced back with a go-ahead blast in the fourth inning Friday, the fifth homer of his young major-league career. The second baseman launched six homers and added 18 RBI over 19 games in spring training, so there's some power potential, though he'll likely be negatively impacted by playing half his games at T-Mobile Park. He posted a .607 OPS, four homers, 24 RBI, 24 runs scored and one stolen base over 257 plate appearances during the 2025 regular season. Young looks to have a clear path to at-bats versus right-handed pitchers this season, and a strong start to the year could make him a near-everyday player.

Pena (finger) is leading off and playing shortstop Friday against the Angels.

Pena was held out on Opening Day, but he's back in action for game No. 2. His return to the lineup pushes Carlos Correa to third base, while Isaac Paredes moves to DH and Yordan Alvarez fills left field. Pena sustained a fractured finger March 4.
