Burrows did not factor into the decision in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Rockies, allowing two hits and one walk while striking out five over four scoreless innings.

Burrows threw 43 of 57 pitches for strikes and generated 10 whiffs but didn't last long enough to qualify for the win. It was the rookie's shortest outing since July 12, and with a career-high 105 frames already between the majors and Triple-A, his workload is likely being managed down the stretch. He'll take a 4.23 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 78:28 K:BB across 76.2 innings with the Pirates into a road matchup with the Cardinals next week.

Abel (2-3) took the loss against the White Sox on Saturday, allowing six runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out two across three innings.

Abel was recalled from Triple-A St. Paul ahead Saturday's start, his first in a Twins' uniform since being traded by the Phillies in late July. Abel yielded nine runs in his last two starts with Philadelphia, and that trend continued with his new team as he gave up six runs in the second inning, highlighted by a Colson Montgomery grand slam. Abel now sits at a 6.43 ERA and 1.54 WHIP across 28 major-league innings this season. With Pablo Lopez (shoulder), Simeon Woods Richardson (illness) and David Festa (shoulder) still on the IL, Abel is slated to make at least a couple more turns in the Twins' rotation. Things won't get easier for Abel, as he's lined up to take on the Padres at home next weekend.

Freeland (3-13) took the loss against the Pirates on Saturday, allowing five runs on seven hits and three walks over five innings.

Freeland was hurt by the long ball, giving up two-run homers in both the second and third innings. The veteran southpaw generated just four swinging strikes on 94 pitches and has now allowed at least five earned runs in seven of 24 starts this year. He'll carry a 5.31 ERA, 1.52 WHIP and 91:34 K:BB across 125.1 innings into a home matchup with the Cubs next weekend.

Martin (5-9) came away with the win against the Twins on Saturday, allowing two runs on five hits and one walk while striking out six across five innings.

Martin yielded at least two baserunners in two of the five frames he pitched, but he was able to limit the damage to two solo home runs from Kody Clemens and Matt Wallner in the second and fourth innings, respectively. Saturday marked just the fourth time Martin has recorded at least six strikeouts this season, and he has yielded three earned runs or less in five of six starts since the All-Star break. He now sits at a 3.93 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 80:35 K:BB across 112.1 innings this season. Martin will look for win number six in his next start, tentatively slated for next week at home against the Yankees.

Paddack (5-11) earned the win against the Royals on Saturday, allowing one run on five hits and one walk with one strikeout over five innings.

Paddack kept the Royals in check despite landing just 37 of 62 pitches for strikes and generating just one whiff. It was a solid rebound after the 29-year-old surrendered eight runs Sunday, though he's managed only nine punchouts across four August outings. He'll take a 4.98 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 97:32 K:BB over 137.1 innings into a road rematch with Kansas City next weekend.

Allen (7-10) took the loss against Texas on Saturday, allowing nine runs on eight hits and three walks while striking out two across five innings.

Allen got through the first inning unscathed, but that was about the only positive thing to come out of Saturday's outing for the 26-year-old southpaw. The nine runs he yielded were the most of his major-league career, and the three homers he gave up were his most since June 25, 2024 against the Orioles. Saturday's game inflated Allen's numbers to a 4.35 ERA and 1.43 WHIP across 128.1 innings this season. He'll look to turn things around in his next start, tentatively slated for next weekend at home against the Mariners.

Wacha (8-10) took the loss against the Tigers on Saturday, allowing three runs on eight hits and one walk with four strikeouts over six innings.

Wacha gave up a run in each of the third, fourth and fifth innings but still turned in a quality start on a season-high 108 pitches. It was the first time the 34-year-old allowed more than two earned runs since July 5, and he's now pitched into the sixth frame in seven straight outings. He'll take a 3.39 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 108:38 K:BB across 148.2 innings into a home rematch with the Tigers next weekend.

Leiter (8-7) earned the win against the Guardians on Saturday, allowing two hits while striking out 10 across seven scoreless innings. He did not issue a walk.

Leiter entered Saturday's game having issued at least two walks in eight straight starts while failing to reach the fifth inning in two of his last three outings. However, the 25-year-old right-hander was in total control against Cleveland, yielding just two singles while recording a career-high 10 strikeouts. It was the first time he took a scoreless outing past the sixth frame, and the Rangers' bullpen kept the Guardians off the board over the last two innings to complete the shutout. Saturday's efforts lowered Leiter's ERA and WHIP to 3.81 and 1.31, respectively, across 115.2 innings, and his 111 strikeouts is third most on the Rangers behind Jacob deGrom (148) and Nathan Eovaldi (129). Leiter is slated to make his next start on the road against the Athletics next weekend.

Berrios came away with a no-decision in Saturday's 7-6 extra-innings win over the Marlins, allowing two runs on four hits over 6.1 innings. He struck out eight without walking a batter.

The veteran right-hander blanked Miami for six frames before running out of gas in the seventh, exiting the mound after generating 33 called or swinging strikes in 81 pitches (56 total strikes). Berrios was in line for his 10th win of the season, but a blown save by Jeff Hoffman forced him to settle for his 14th quality start. Berrios has given up three earned runs or fewer in five of his last six outings, posting a 4.26 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 27:7 K:BB over 31.2 innings during that stretch. He'll look to build on this performance in his next start, which lines up to come at home next weekend against the Brewers.

Warren (7-6) took the loss in Saturday's 12-1 rout at the hands of the Red Sox, coughing up five runs on seven hits and three walks over four innings. He struck out three.

The 26-year-old right-hander may be wearing down as he approaches the final month of his first full big-league campaign. Warren has failed to last five innings in back-to-back starts, but over seven outings since the All-Star break he's still managed to post a respectable 4.04 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 34:14 K:BB in 35.2 innings. He'll look to bounce back in his next trip to the mound, which is scheduled to come on the road next week against the White Sox.
