    High-A Fort Wayne reinstated Kemp (oblique) from its 60-day injured list Tuesday. Kemp is finally ready to make his High-A debut after a left oblique injury suffered in the spring shelved him to begin the season. He was activated after allowing six runs on eight hits and three walks while striking out four over 5.2 innings across three rehab starts in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League.

  • Padres' Kannon Kemp: Nursing injury at High-A

    Single-A Fort Wayne placed Kemp on the 60-day injured list April 22 with a left oblique injury, J.J. Cooper of Baseball America reports. He suffered the injury right before he was set to make his first start of the year for the TinCaps. Kemp, 21, logged a 5.52 ERA, 1.52 WHIP and 64 strikeouts in 77.2 innings in the lower levels last year.
