Urena (9-10) took the loss Sunday against the Pirates, allowing a run on three hits and a walk across eight innings. He struck out four.

Henry Davis' solo home run in the third inning accounted for all of the damage against Urena on Sunday, as the right-hander turned in another excellent outing. However, the Angels failed to provide any run support in an eventual 1-0 defeat. Urena has now allowed just two runs on eight hits across 15 innings in his last two starts, lowering his ERA to 2.74 with a 1.21 WHIP and 124:65 K:BB across 131.1 innings this season. He's currently in line to face the Nationals on the road his next time out.

Skenes (10-11) earned the win Sunday over the Angels, allowing four hits and a walk over 5.1 scoreless innings. He struck out two.

While Skenes wasn't exactly dominant Sunday, he managed to hold the Angels scoreless in a strong bounce-back performance after he gave up five runs in 4.2 innings against the Giants his last time out. It's Skenes' first win since July 19 -- he'd gone 0-3 with a 5.77 ERA across 34.1 innings in his previous seven outings. Overall, the 24-year-old Skenes sports a 3.83 ERA with a 1.15 WHIP and 181:45 K:BB across 29 starts (155 innings) this season. He's currently in line for a road matchup with the Cubs his next time out.

Wenninger walked three batters in his most recent start Friday, a four-inning effort in which he also struck out five while allowing two runs against Rochester. For the season, Wenninger has a 4.24 ERA, 13.4 percent walk rate and 24.2 percent strikeout rate over 108.1 innings.

Wenninger at one point was thought to be on the short list for a potential promotion, but he's never quite gotten dialed in with his control, allowing two or more walks in every start since May 17. It's somewhat telling that even with September roster expansion, the Mets haven't given Wenninger a look yet.

Manager Derek Shelton said that Ryan (glute) checked out fine after completing a bullpen session Saturday and is likely to return from the 15-day injured list to make his next start with the Twins, Audra Martin of Twins.tv reports.

On the shelf since Aug. 7 due to a mild left glute strain, Ryan looks on track to slot back into the Minnesota rotation during the club's three-game series in Detroit that begins Monday. Since he covered just three innings and tossed 42 pitches in his lone rehab start Triple-A St. Paul this past Tuesday, Ryan will likely be operating with a restricted pitch count if he does in fact get activated during the upcoming week. The Twins could consider using Ryan in tandem with rookie Connor Prielipp, whose workload is expected to be monitored over the final few weeks of the season.

Leiter (ankle/biceps) is heading to Arizona to resume his rehab, Shawn McFarland of the Dallas Morning News reports.

Leiter experienced biceps soreness during a recent outing, which prompted to the Rangers to put a halt to the rehab assignment. After being shut down for a few days, the right-hander is headed to the team's spring training facility to resume throwing.

Eovaldi (elbow) threw 40 pitches in a bullpen session Saturday, MLB.com reports.

Evoladi threw two sets of 20 pitches during the session, mimicking an up-and-down. The Rangers will monitor how the right-hander feels Sunday and could have him throw a live batting practice session if he recovers well.

Cabrera struck out one batter and gave up one hit and no walks over two innings of relief in Wednesday's 1-0 win over the Phillies.

After Cabrera took a loss to the Giants on Aug. 27, the Diamondbacks opted for a bullpen day when his turn in the rotation came up again Wednesday. Taylor Clarke served as an opener and covered the first 1.2 innings before manager Torey Luvollo turned to Cabrera and five other relievers to record the remaining 22 outs. The fifth spot in the rotation will come up again Monday in Kansas City, and Cabrera could be called upon to cover multiple innings as a starter or reliever once again if he isn't needed out of the bullpen in Sunday's series finale in Houston.

Perdomo is listed as the Giants' probable starting pitcher for Sunday's game against the Mets.

The left-hander received his first promotion to the big leagues Tuesday when rosters expanded to 28 players and made his debut later that day in Pittsburgh, allowing one run on three hits and one walk with four strikeouts over four relief innings. Perdomo, who posted a 5.10 ERA, 1.59 WHIP and 36:20 K:BB across 47.2 frames in nine starts for Triple-A Sacramento, will now get a look in the major-league rotation, though it may end up being just a spot start.

Nelson (elbow) struck out two over a scoreless inning for Single-A Visalia on Saturday.

Nelson began a rehab assignment with the Rawhide and set down the side in order in the first inning. Although he opened the season as a starter for the Diamondbacks, the club plans to have him pitch out of the bullpen over the final month of the regular season. MLB.com targets the right-hander's possible return for Friday, when the Diamondbacks begin a homestand against the Rangers.

May did not factor into the decision in Saturday's 5-3 loss to the Reds, allowing two runs on five hits and no walks with five strikeouts over 3.2 innings.

May surrendered runs in the first and fourth innings, throwing 41 of 56 pitches for strikes with an impressive 12 whiffs. The 29-year-old departed early due to a two-hour rain delay, and he's now logged just 10.1 frames over his past four starts due to a mix of poor performances and some bad luck. He'll carry a 4.69 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 127:45 K:BB across 132.1 innings with the Cardinals and Brewers into a home rematch with the Reds next weekend.
