Jacob Misiorowski SP | MIL
Brewers' Jacob Misiorowski: Not making another start this week
Misiorowski is not listed among the Brewers' probable pitchers for this weekend's series at home against the Rockies, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
Misiorowski returned from a nearly two-week absence with arm fatigue on Monday versus the Mets, allowing just one unearned run over four innings and getting lifted after just 65 pitches. The Brewers plan to closely monitor Misiorowski's workload in the second half, as he is just 26.1 innings shy of last year's total from the minors, majors and postseason combined. Manager Pat Murphy has indicated the team will "lean more towards" pulling Misiorowski early from outings rather than skipping them, per Adam McCalvy of MLB.com. However, the team will also buy the hurler extra rest whenever possible, which it will do this weekend in moving Brandon Sproat ahead of Misiorowski to start Sunday. Misiorowski's next outing could come as soon as Monday in San Francisco.

Argenis Cayama SP | SF
Giants' Argenis Cayama: Rehabbing in Arizona
Single-A San Jose sent Cayama (back spasms) on a rehab assignment in the Arizona Complex League on July 11.
Per Josh Norris of Baseball America, Cayama was placed on the injured list at Single-A on June 5 due to back spasms. Still just 19, the 6-foot Cayama has a 4.17 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 50:8 K:BB in 41 innings, primarily in the Cal League.

Sadbiel Delzine SP | BOS
Red Sox's Sadbiel Delzine: Bumped to Single-A
Delzine was promoted from the Florida Complex League to Single-A Salem on Tuesday.
The FCL season hasn't wrapped up yet, but the Red Sox felt it was time to challenge their top teenage pitching prospect with his first assignment to full-season ball. Delzine, a 6-foot-5 Venezuelan righty, logged a 2.72 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 43:18 K:BB in 39.2 innings in rookie ball. The dynasty buzz will grow quite loud if he translates that success against Single-A hitters.

Brody Brecht SP | COL
Rockies' Brody Brecht: Shelved at High-A
High-A Spokane placed Brecht on the 7-day injured list May 23 with a right shoulder injury, Geoff Pontes of Baseball America reports.
Pontes reports Brecht is due back as early as late July, although he hasn't begun a rehab assignment yet. Brecht has big stuff, but his fantasy appeal is limited due to the fact he's a Rockies pitching prospect. The 23-year-old righty logged a 5.23 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 31:15 K:BB in 20.2 innings prior to the injury.

Patrick Forbes SP | ARI
Diamondbacks' Patrick Forbes: Elbow barking again
Forbes has not pitched for High-A Hillsboro since June 27 due to elbow discomfort, Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic reports.
As of July 5, the organization said it was hopeful Forbes would return in July, but given he missed the first eight weeks of the season with a right elbow flexor injury and also had a flexor strain last year, there is plenty of cause for concern. Prior to this latest arm injury, Forbes dominated the competition to the tune of a 2.45 ERA, 0.68 WHIP and 20:2 K:BB in 14.2 innings, primarily at High-A. His fastball sits in the mid-90s and his dastardly 83-mph slider gives him a second plus pitch. He should be considered out indefinitely and is at high risk of needing elbow surgery sooner than later.

Ranger Suarez SP | BOS
Red Sox's Ranger Suarez: Clear of major setback
The Red Sox want to give Suarez (groin), who will not start Tuesday against the Orioles as previously scheduled, at least one more day before reinstating him from the injured list after he pushed himself pretty hard over the past few days, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.
Eduardo Rivera is instead taking the mound Tuesday for Boston. Suarez has been on the shelf since sustaining the left groin strain July 5 in Anaheim, and he was set to rejoin the big-league rotation without a rehab assignment. The left-hander still seems like an option to pitch in Wednesday's series finale, though his status is a bit up in the air until the team provides a more concrete update.

Dominick Reid SP | CHC
Cubs' Dominick Reid: Out with shoulder issue
Single-A Myrtle Beach placed Reid on the 7-day injured list in mid-June with a right shoulder impingement, Geoff Pontes of Baseball America reports.
Reid, who most recently gave up five earned runs while walking four batters over 1.1 innings June 12 against Augusta, has a 4.17 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 50:20 K:BB in 49.2 innings at Single-A. The 2025 third-rounder turns 23 this offseason, so he'll be a little behind schedule if he can't reach High-A before season's end.

Ranger Suarez SP | BOS
Red Sox's Ranger Suarez: Not starting Tuesday
Suarez (groin) won't start Tuesday against the Orioles as previously scheduled, Tim Healey of The Boston Globe reports.
The left-hander was poised to come off the injured list to start Tuesday versus Baltimore after a two-week absence due to a groin strain, but there's now been a change of plan. It's unclear whether or not Suarez has suffered a setback, though it's possible Tuesday's rainy weather forecast is prompting Boston to exercise caution with his return, per Ari Alexander of 7 News Boston. The Red Sox should provide an update in the near future. Eduardo Rivera will now take the mound Tuesday versus the Orioles.

Javier Assad RP | CHC
Cubs' Javier Assad: Works out of bullpen Monday
Assad struck out two and allowed one unearned run on two hits and one walk over an inning of relief Monday in the Cubs' 8-6 loss to the Tigers in 10 innings.
Assad had started in his final two appearances before the All-Star break, but he ended up getting bumped to the bullpen to begin the second half after Jameson Taillon returned from the injured list and re-entered the rotation Monday. The Cubs further bolstered their rotation depth with the acquisition of Aaron Civale over the weekend, so Assad may not be in store for any starting opportunities anytime soon.

Carson Palmquist SP | WAS
Nationals' Carson Palmquist: Serving as opener in Colorado
Palmquist will serve as the Nationals' opening pitcher Tuesday in Colorado, Mark Zuckerman of NatsJournal.com reports.
Palmquist is capable of more length than most openers, having struck out four over three innings of one-run ball in his last opener assignment versus the Yankees on July 10. Depending on how he fares early on during the game, Palmquist could end up being deployed as more of a piggyback starter in front of Miles Mikolas, who is lined up to pitch in bulk relief.
