Nastrini was optioned to Triple-A Charlotte on Sunday.

Nastrini has struggled in his six starts in the majors this season, posting an 0-5 record with an 8.39 ERA, 1.99 WHIP and 19:25 K:BB over 24.2 innings. The White Sox called up lefty reliever Sammy Peralta from Charlotte in a corresponding move, but it's not immediately clear whom the big club may turn to as a replacement in the rotation for Nastrini.

Winn (forearm) was reinstated from the 15-day injured list ahead of his start against the Rangers on Sunday, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

The right-hander landed on the shelf in mid-May with a forearm strain, but he'll rejoin the Giants' rotation after being sidelined for less than a month. Winn delivered three straight quality starts in April but struggled in his final three outings before going to the injured list with 17 runs allowed and a 5:5 K:BB over 8.1 innings.

Wicks (forearm) allowed one run on three hits across 3.1 innings of relief in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Reds. He walked one and struck out two.

Wicks made his first appearance since April 23 after sustaining a forearm strain in his throwing arm. After coming off the injured list Friday, the lefty was deployed in relief for the first time in the big leagues, as he had served as the team's fifth starter before he got injured. Rookie Ben Brown maintained his spot in the rotation Saturday but was lifted after giving up three runs over four innings, resulting in Wicks getting some extended work behind him. Brown has now been charged with eight earned runs over nine innings across his last two starts, potentially putting his spot in the rotation in jeopardy now that Wicks is back. If the Cubs don't decide to drop Brown from the rotation, Wicks could still have some fantasy value if he ends up working as a piggyback pitcher behind Brown in the latter's subsequent starts.

Waldrep had his contract selected from Triple-A Gwinnett ahead of his start Sunday against the Nationals.

The 22-year-old was previously announced as the starter for Sunday's series finale in Washington, and he's now officially been added to the MLB roster. Waldrep was recently promoted to Gwinnett from Double-A Mississippi and will make his big-league debut with just two career games under his belt at Triple-A. He's pitched well between the two affiliates this season with a 3.09 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 59:18 K:BB across 55.1 innings.

Anderson (5-6) allowed four runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out three over six innings to take the loss versus the Astros on Saturday.

Anderson gave up two runs in each of the third and fifth innings. He threw 60 of 90 pitches for strikes, but this was the first time in five starts he allowed more than one run. It was just the second time he's been on the hook for four runs this year. The southpaw is at a 2.63 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 53:33 K:BB over 82 innings through 13 starts in 2024. Anderson's surface stats look close to his career year from 2022, but his 4.70 FIP and .218 BABIP suggest he's been very fortunate in 2024. Given his high walk rate, Anderson is a risky pitcher to roster in fantasy over the rest of the season.

Cortes (3-5) took the loss against the Dodgers on Saturday, allowing four runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out four batters over 5.1 innings.

Cortes gave up a pair of solo homers among the seven total hits Los Angeles tallied against him, and the four runs he yielded tied a season-high mark. The lefty hurler did at least manage to keep New York within striking range -- though the game ended in a blowout, most of the Dodgers' damage came after Cortes' departure. Cortes is hanging onto a respectable 3.68 ERA on the season, though his current 8.7 K/9 is on pace for his lowest mark since a four-appearance cup of coffee as a rookie in 2018.

Stone (7-2) earned the win over the Yankees on Saturday, allowing two runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out six batters over 5.2 innings.

It looked like Stone could be in for a rough outing after he allowed singles to the first two batters he faced in the first inning, but he recovered to retire Aaron Judge, Giancarlo Stanton and Anthony Rizzo without allowing a run to score. The right-hander allowed New York to plate one run in each of the following two frames, but he was able to navigate through 5.2 innings with just those two runs on his ledger. Stone needed some help when he departed with two outs and the bases full of Yankees in the sixth, and Alex Vesia provided that assistance by getting Anthony Volpe to fly out to end the threat. Stone has recorded a victory in seven of his past 10 starts and has given up more than two runs just once during that span. He's shining in his first full big-league season, recording a 2.93 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 53:21 K:BB through 67.2 innings.

Brown (2-5) allowed two hits and four walks while striking out seven over six scoreless innings to earn the win over the Angels on Saturday.

Brown logged his fourth straight quality start, and he's given up just six runs with a 26:8 K:BB over 24 innings, though this is his only win over that stretch. It continues a positive trend for Brown, who is pitching deeper into games, though his 4.3 BB/9 on the year remains alarmingly high. The right-hander also has a 5.58 ERA, 1.52 WHIP and 67:29 K:BB over 61.1 innings through 13 appearances (12 starts). He's tentatively projected to make his next start at home versus the Tigers.

Gibson allowed three runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out seven batters over six innings in a no-decision versus Colorado on Saturday.

Gibson yielded a run in the first inning but then kept the Rockies off the scoreboard in each of the following four frames. However, the veteran right-hander ran into trouble in the sixth, surrendering a leadoff homer to Ezequiel Tovar and another pair of hits that plated an additional run. Gibson was allowed to finish off the inning to complete the quality start, and he was taken off the hook for a potential loss when St. Louis plated four unearned runs in the bottom of the frame. While the eight hits he allowed tied a season-worst mark and his final stat line wasn't overly impressive, the quality start was Gibson's second in his past three outings.

Waldron (4-5) allowed one run on three hits and two walks while striking out four over six innings to earn the win over the Diamondbacks on Saturday.

Waldron submitted his third straight quality start, and he was able to cruise to the win after an explosive showing from the Padres' offense. The right-hander has allowed two runs over his last 19.1 innings, though he's faced the Angels, Marlins and Diamondbacks in that span, which hasn't been much of a test of his skills. Waldron is now at a 3.76 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 68:21 K:BB through 69.1 innings over 13 starts this season. He's tentatively projected for another favorable start on the road versus the Mets in his next outing.
