Montero (2-3) took the loss Thursday against the Mets, allowing four runs on four hits and two walks over 4.2 innings. He struck out two.

Montero got off to a strong start Thursday, holding the Mets off the board through his first two innings, though he gave up a solo homer to A.J. Ewing to lead off the third before Brett Baty added a two-run shot that tied the game in the fourth. Montero delivered back-to-back quality starts prior to Thursday, allowing just two runs over 12.2 frames in that span. His ERA now sits at 3.65 with a 0.99 WHIP and 31:10 K:BB across eight starts (44.1 innings) this year. Montero's currently in line to face the Guardians at home in his next outing.

Burrows (2-5) took the loss Thursday against the Mariners, allowing seven runs on eight hits and three walks in 5.2 innings. He struck out four.

Burrows was never quite able to settle in Thursday, getting ambushed for three runs in the opening frame before giving up two more in both the fourth and sixth innings. The 26-year-old right-hander served up a pair of home runs for the fourth time already this year, taking a big step back after yielding just five runs in his prior three starts (18 innings) to Thursday. Burrows will bring an underwhelming 5.72 ERA, 1.53 WHIP and 46:17 K:BB over 50.1 frames into his next scheduled outing versus Minnesota.

Castillo (1-4) earned the win Thursday against the Astros, allowing three runs on four hits and three walks in 5.2 innings. He struck out six.

Castillo was working on a bounce-back start Thursday, giving up a lone run over his first five frames, but the Astros got to him for two more runs in the sixth inning to make his line more middling. The Mariners might have left the 33-year-old right-hander in the game for a bit too long considering that the hurler tossed a season-high 108 pitches. Castillo has now yielded at least three runs in three straight outings and six of his last eight, posting a disappointing 6.34 ERA, 1.57 WHIP and 43:16 K:BB over 44 innings in 2026. He's tentatively lined up to piggyback with Bryce Miller early next week versus the White Sox, which would mark Castillo's first career relief appearance if he works as the secondary pitcher.

Double-A Columbus placed Hernandez on its 7-day injured list May 2 due to an unspecified injury.

Columbus deactivated Hernandez just two days after he delivered his best start of the season -- a seven-inning, nine-strikeout gem in which he allowed just one hit and no walks. For the season, Hernandez has compiled a 1.83 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 29:12 K:BB across 19.2 frames.

Harrison (4-1) earned the win Thursday against the Padres, allowing no runs on five hits and no walks in five innings. He struck out seven.

Staked to an early 6-0 lead, Harrison breezed through the San Diego bats Thursday. The 24-year-old southpaw generated 17 whiffs on the afternoon, and he's now given up two runs or fewer in all eight of his starts this year. Harrison boasts a 2.09 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 48:13 K:BB over 38.2 innings for the year, but he's worked into the sixth frame just three times so far. He next lines up for a difficult assignment against the division-rival Cubs.

Canning (0-2) took the loss Thursday against the Brewers, allowing six runs on five hits and one walk in 1.2 innings. He struck out two.

Canning didn't last long Thursday, giving up three runs in both the first and second innings before being pulled. The 30-year-old right-hander labored, throwing just 33 of his 64 pitches for strikes on the afternoon, and he's now surrendered six runs in back-to-back starts after firing five innings of one-run ball in his season debut. Canning has a dismal 10.64 ERA, 2.18 WHIP and 14:9 K:BB over 11 frames thus far, so he doesn't project as a recommended fantasy option in his next scheduled outing versus the division-rival Dodgers.

Perez will start Monday's game in Miami, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

Perez has been terrific while bouncing back and forth between the rotation and bullpen this season, collecting a 2.31 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 26:11 K:BB over 35 innings covering five starts and three relief outings. The veteran lefty may be in line for just a spot start Monday as Atlanta keeps his role flexible. However, Perez is an option to grab JR Ritchie's spot at some point if the rookie isn't able to rein in his recent control problems.

Garrett (0-1) took the loss Thursday against the Twins, allowing five runs on four hits and five walks in 1.1 innings. He struck out three.

Making his Marlins season debut after starting the year with Triple-A Jacksonville, Garrett didn't fare well in his first major-league start since 2024. Control was a major issue -- the left-hander tossed only 30 of his 64 pitches for strikes -- but Garrett's day could have been even worse had he not struck out Luke Keaschall to escape a bases-loaded jam in the first inning. With Robby Snelling (elbow) on the injured list, Garrett is tentatively lined up to face Atlanta in his next outing but doesn't shape up as an appealing fantasy option.

McLean (2-2) earned the win Thursday over the Tigers, allowing three runs on six hits and three walks over seven innings. He struck out seven.

Things looked dicey for McLean in the first inning, as he gave up a three-run homer to Gage Workman to put the Mets in an early hole. However, McLean would bear down and blank the Tigers over his subsequent six frames while New York rallied for an eventual 9-4 victory. It's the first win since April 3 for the right-hander despite having a 2.83 ERA in his six starts between victories. Overall, his ERA sits at 2.92 this season across nine outings (52.1 innings) with a 0.96 WHIP and 64 strikeouts. McLean will look to keep rolling his next time out, tentatively scheduled to come next week in Washington.

Griffin (4-2) took the loss Thursday against Cincinnati, allowing nine runs on seven hits and three walks over 4.1 innings. He struck out seven.

While Griffin did log seven or more strikeouts for the third time in his last four outings, it was otherwise a day to forget for the left-hander. Prior to Thursday, Griffin had delivered four straight quality starts, posting a 1.38 ERA over 26 innings in that span. His ERA is now up to 3.53 on the year with a 1.14 WHIP and 49:18 K:BB across nine starts (51 innings). Griffin will look to get back on track in his next outing, currently scheduled for next week at home against the Mets.
