The Yankees optioned Winans to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Tuesday.

Winans was selected from Triple-A on Saturday to replace the injured Marcus Stroman (knee), and the former will now head back to the minors to clear a roster spot for Clarke Schmidt (shoulder), who is set to be activated for his season debut Wednesday. Winans didn't appear in a game during his time in the Bronx, but he will keep his spot on the 40-man roster as he moves back to Triple-A.

Lodolo did not factor in the decision during Tuesday's win against Seattle. He allowed four runs on five hits and a walk over 4.2 innings while striking out six.

Lodolo may have nightmares about Dylan Moore after Tuesday's outing; Moore went deep in the first and fifth innings and added an RBI single in the second. Lodolo needed 90 pitches (60 strikes) and failed to record a quality start for the first time this season. Despite the hiccup, he owns a 2.31 ERA with a 14:2 K:BB through 23.1 innings. Lodolo is currently in line to start in Baltimore this weekend.

Ober (1-1) got the win Tuesday against the Mets after giving up three runs on five hits and no walks in 6.1 innings. He struck out five.

Ober threw 57 of his 77 pitches for strikes, but he struggled with his command at times while allowing two solo home runs. One came off the red-hot bat of Pete Alonso in the first inning, and another was driven by Juan Soto in the fourth. It's worth noting four of Ober's outs came on line drives, which suggests he may have been fortunate to come away with a quality start. The big right-hander is still searching for a rhythm in 2025, holding a 6.16 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 17:6 K:BB through 19 innings, but he'll have a prime opportunity to get back on track at home against the White Sox in his next projected start.

Megill (2-2) took the loss Tuesday against the Twins after giving up four runs (two earned) on eight hits and no walks in five innings. He struck out three.

While Megill started his outing with two scoreless innings, the following three frames were a bit more troublesome. Two of Megill's runs went unearned due to Francisco Lindor's fielding error in the third inning, and the right-hander gave up two runs across his final two frames before his night ended. Just one of the eight hits Megill allowed went for extra bases, though. Despite submitting a 1.34 WHIP over 19.1 innings (four starts), Megill has limited the damage by turning in a 1.40 ERA and 20:7 K:BB ahead of his next scheduled start against the Cardinals at home this weekend.

Castillo (1-2) yielded six runs on seven hits and four walks over 4.1 innings Tuesday, striking out three and taking a loss against the Reds.

Castillo was uncharacteristically bad Tuesday, coughing up a pair of runs through four innings before the Reds piled on four more in the fifth. He threw 54 of 95 pitches for strikes and has failed to complete six innings in three of his first four starts. Tuesday's rough outing was the first time he gave up more than five earned runs in a game since Aug. 4, 2023. Castillo's 2025 ERA ballooned to 4.22 with an 18:10 K:BB through 21.1 innings. His next start is lined up to be in Toronto this weekend.

Buehler (2-1) earned the win against the Rays on Tuesday, allowing two runs on three hits and three walks while striking out three across five innings.

Buehler gave up a solo homer to Jonathan Aranda in the second inning and yielded a second run in the fourth frame, though the damage was limited thanks to a diving catch by Ceddanne Rafaela to end the inning. Buehler has begun his Red Sox tenure with a 5.23 ERA and 1.26 WHIP across 20.2 innings, and his 3.0 percent walk rate is tied with Pablo Lopez for seventh-best in the majors. Buehler is slated to face the White Sox at home next week, when he'll look to earn his third win of 2025.

Irvin (1-0) yielded three hits and a walk over seven scoreless innings Tuesday, striking out six and picking up a win over Pittsburgh.

Irvin allowed only one runner to reach scoring position in the dominant outing. He threw 58 of 87 pitches for strikes and forced 10 whiffs. It was both his longest outing and his first quality start of 2025. Irvin dropped his season ERA to 3.91 with an 18:7 K:BB through 23 frames. His next start is projected to be in Colorado this weekend.

Keller (1-2) yielded three runs on six hits and two walks over six innings Tuesday, striking out three and taking a loss against Washington.

Keller served up a leadoff homer to James Wood to begin the night but then held the Nationals scoreless until Nasim Nunez's two-run single in the sixth inning. It was Keller's third quality start in four outings this season, but the three punchouts were his lowest total to date. He tossed 67 of 105 pitches for strikes but generated only eight whiffs. Keller now owns a 4.30 ERA with a 17:8 K:BB through 23 innings. He's currently in line for a home matchup against Cleveland this weekend.

Verlander (0-1) took the loss Tuesday against Philadelphia. He allowed four runs on eight hits and three walks while striking out one over 5.2 innings.

Verlander put the Giants behind when he gave up two runs in the second inning, including a solo shot by J.T. Realmuto. Verlander recovered to toss three scoreless frames, but he was tagged for two more runs in the sixth inning and wasn't able to complete the frame. While he's generated a 32.6 percent whiff rate, Verlander has yet to make it out of the sixth inning in any of his four starts in 2025. He has a 6.75 ERA and 1.77 WHIP across 18.2 innings to begin the season, and he'll look to get back on track in his next start, tentatively slated for this weekend on the road against the Angels.

Fedde (1-2) took the loss Tuesday against the Astros after giving up one run on six hits and three walks in six innings. He struck out five.

Fedde managed to escape two bases-loaded jams, with one coming in the second inning by getting Mauricio Dubon to fly out and another in the fourth after by forcing Jose Altuve to fly out. Jake Meyers plated a run on a single in the sixth, but Fedde was able to induce a double play to close his outing on a positive note. Although the veteran right-hander carries a solid 3.43 ERA and 1.14 WHIP through four starts (21 innings), his 10:11 K:BB is a cause for concern heading into next week's tough matchup in Atlanta.
