Woods Richardson (0-1) took the loss Monday against the Royals, allowing four runs on eight hits and four walks over 5.2 innings. He struck out six.

The Minnesota right-hander struggled mightily in this 107-pitch start, equaling a career worst by giving up eight hits. Woods Richardson failed to find the strike zone and also matched a career worst in free passes issued with four. The 24-year-old now sports a 5.59 ERA, 1.96 WHIP and 11:5 K:BB across 9.2 innings. He looks to right the ship in his next start, currently scheduled to be against the Tigers at home this weekend.

Fitts (0-2) allowed three runs on six hits and four walks over six innings Monday, striking out four and taking a loss against the Blue Jays.

Fitts escaped a bases-loaded threat unscathed in the first inning before Toronto plated a pair of runs in the third and another in the fifth. He wasn't very effective and had to dance around a few sticky situations. Fitts tossed 102 pitches (67 strikes) and generated 13 whiffs, including five each with his fastball and slider. He's given up exactly three runs over six frames in each of his first two starts this season but has an 0-2 record to show for it. Fitts will continue searching for his first win in his next outing, which is projected to be on the road this weekend against the White Sox.

Senga (1-1) earned the win Monday against the Marlins, allowing five hits and two walks over five scoreless innings. He struck out four.

The New York right-hander breezed through five innings, completing the task in 77 pitches against the lowly Marlins. Senga survived a chilly night in Queens -- the game-time temperature was 42 degrees -- which might explain the lack of whiffs during this outing, generating just five. The 32-year-old currently lines up to make his next start this weekend against the Athletics on the road.

Berrios (1-1) yielded one run on four hits and three walks over seven innings Monday, striking out two and earning a win over Boston.

The lone run against Berrios was a third-inning RBI sacrifice fly from Rafael Devers. While it was a successful outing for Berrios, he forced only two swinging strikes on 88 total pitches (55 strikes). He generated two or fewer whiffs in two of his 32 starts during the 2024 season. Berrios now owns a 4.58 ERA with a 15:8 K:BB through 17.2 innings across three outings. His next start is projected to be in Baltimore this weekend.

Bellozo (0-1) took the loss Monday versus the Mets, allowing one run on five hits and one walk over 3.2 innings. He struck out two.

Bellozo was recalled from Triple-A on Monday to replace Sandy Alcantara (paternity list) and lasted 76 pitches in a frigid night at Citi Field with a game-time temperature of 42 degrees. Despite yielding seven baserunners over the short outing, Bellozo managed to hold the Mets' lineup to one run -- scored on a Juan Soto double in the third inning. The Miami right-hander is likely to be sent back to the minors when Alcantara returns to the team.

Liberatore (0-1) yielded five runs on eight hits over 6.1 innings Monday, striking out seven and taking a loss against the Pirates.

Liberatore stumbled early Monday, serving up a solo homer to Joey Bart in the first inning and allowing three runs in the second. While the poor outing drove his ERA up to 5.84, Liberatore has not walked a batter through 12.1 frames this season. He forced 13 whiffs Monday, with six coming against his slider. Liberatore's next start is lined up to be this weekend at home against the Phillies.

Eovaldi (1-1) took the loss Monday against the Cubs after allowing three runs on four hits and two walks in 4.2 innings. He struck out four.

After throwing a complete-game shutout in his last time out against the Reds, Eovaldi was not nearly as sharp on a cold and windy Monday night at Wrigley Field. Miguel Amaya hit a sacrifice fly for a second-inning run, Ian Happ plated another on a fielder's choice during the third frame and Michael Busch ripped an RBI triple to bring home an inherited runner after Eovaldi was lifted in the fifth. The veteran right-hander still sports a 2.29 ERA, 0.66 WHIP and 21:2 K:BB ahead of his next scheduled start, which lines up to come against the Mariners at pitcher-friendly T-Mobile Park this weekend.

Sauer is expected to be optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City ahead of Tuesday's game against the Nationals, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Sauer was unable to prevent Washington from extending the lead during Monday's game, surrendering one run on three hits over 1.2 innings of work in his 2025 debut. His time with the big-league club won't last long, as the team has elected to option him to Triple-A to make room for Justin Wrobleski, who is set to start Tuesday.

Harrington allowed three runs on four hits and one walk over four innings in Monday's 8-4 win over St. Louis. He struck out five and earned his first MLB save.

After making a four-inning start in his MLB debut last Tuesday against the Royals, Harrington shifted to the bullpen but ended up piggybacking starter Carmen Mlodzinski, who covered five innings before the rookie right-handed finished out the game. Harrington entered with a 4-1 lead and earned the save in the Pirates' four-run win, despite a shaky performance. Harrington has now given up nine earned runs and holds a 7:5 K:BB through eight innings, so he hasn't made a strong case for a more permanent spot in the Pittsburgh rotation just yet. That said, the Pirates have been committed to building in at least five days of rest between starts for Paul Skenes, so Pittsburgh could move back to a six-man rotation that includes Harrington on Friday, when the team begins a stretch of 10 games in as many days.

Steele (3-1) picked up the win Monday against the Rangers after giving up three hits and two walks in seven scoreless innings, striking out eight.

Steele looked to be right at home on a cold night at Wrigley Field, scattering three singles with the benefit of having the wind blowing in Monday. It was easily the star left-hander's finest performance of the campaign thus far, as he allowed a season low in knocks and fanned a season-high eight during his longest outing among four starts. Steele has a strong 21:5 K:BB and 1.15 WHIP to go with three wins over his first 22.2 frames, but he'll be looking to improve on his subpar 4.76 ERA in a tough road matchup against the Dodgers that lines up for this weekend.
