Anderson allowed two runs on six hits and a walk while striking out seven over 6.2 innings in a no-decision versus the Blue Jays on Tuesday.

This was a fourth straight quality start for Anderson, and it was also his longest outing of the season. The seven strikeouts were a season high for the southpaw, who has stepped up his game early in 2025 to be a reliable starter for the Angels. He's at a 2.68 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 34:15 K:BB over 40.1 innings across seven starts this season. His velocity has been down this year, with an average fastball at 88.8 mph compared to 89.4 mph in 2024, but he's never overwhelmed batters with sheer velocity in the past. He's lined up for a home start versus the Orioles over the weekend.

Abbott tossed five scoreless innings while allowing four hits and no walks Tuesday against Atlanta. He struck out eight and did not factor into the decision.

Abbott was excellent once again and continued what's been a strong start to his delayed debut this season. Outside of a poor start in Colorado, Abbott has only allowed two earned runs in 20 innings, and Tuesday was his first outing of the season with no walks. He now sits at a 2.25 ERA and 1.17 WHIP through five starts and will aim to keep rolling this weekend against the Astros.

Gonsolin didn't factor into the decision in Tuesday's 5-4 extra-inning loss to the Marlins, giving up two runs on four hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out eight.

The right-hander blanked Miami for four innings before Liam Hicks touched him up for a two-run homer in the fifth. Gonsolin generated a whopping 18 swinging strikes among his 82 pitches (49 total strikes), and he's produced an eye-popping 17:2 K:BB through 11 innings in his first two starts of 2025 -- although both starts did come against the Marlins. Gonsolin will face a somewhat tougher test in his next trip to the mound, which is scheduled to come at home early next week against the A's.

Gallen (3-4) allowed a run on two hits and three walks while striking out six over seven innings to earn the win over the Mets on Tuesday.

Gallen posted his fourth quality start of the season, and this was his longest outing yet. He threw 64 of 101 pitches for strikes as he defeated the Mets for the second start in a row. The right-hander has allowed just two runs over his last 13 innings, trimming his ERA to 4.37 with a 1.21 WHIP and 49:21 K:BB across 45.1 innings over eight outings this season. Gallen will need to cut back on walks -- his 4.2 BB/9 is the highest of his career and noticeably above the elevated 3.3 BB/9 he had in 2024. He'll have a tough outing on tap this weekend, as he is projected to make his next start at home versus the Dodgers.

Sale tossed 6.2 scoreless innings but did not factor into the decision Tuesday against the Reds. He gave up five hits, walked two and struck out 10.

Sale's scoreless outing was matched by Andrew Abbott and the Reds bullpen. He exited at 112 pitches after a walk in the seventh put two on. It's now back-to-back outings of six-plus innings and 10 strikeouts for the veteran left-hander, who's also allowed two runs or fewer in four straight starts. Sale will look to put his mark on a strong two-start week when he faces the Pirates this weekend.

Irvin came away with a no-decision in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Guardians, giving up two runs on four hits and three walks over 5.1 innings. He failed to strike out a batter.

The right-hander didn't have his best stuff, inducing only five swinging strikes over 95 pitches (61 total strikes), but Irvin was able to minimize the damage and actually left the mound in line for a win, only for the Washington bullpen to fall apart in an eventual 10-9 win for the Nats. Irvin will take a 3.94 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 33:14 K:BB through 48 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come on the road early next week in Atlanta.

Peterson (2-2) took the loss Tuesday versus the Diamondbacks, allowing four runs on five hits and four walks while striking out six over six innings.

The Mets got on the board first, but Peterson allowed two runs in the fourth inning and a two-run home run to Lourdes Gurriel in the sixth. While Peterson was able to complete six innings for the third time this season, the four runs allowed were a season high. He also yielded a homer for the first time since his season debut March 31 versus the Marlins. The southpaw has a 3.52 ERA across 38.1 innings, and he's added a 1.38 WHIP and 36:13 K:BB. He is tentatively projected to make his next start in a favorable matchup at home versus the Pirates.

Lively (2-2) picked up the win in the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Nationals, allowing one run on two hits and two walks over 5.1 innings. He struck out three.

The Guardians scored nine runs in each end of the twin bill, but after falling 10-9 in the matinee, Lively made sure the fireworks would be more than enough offense in the nightcap. The right-hander had his shutout bid ended in the sixth inning on a Riley Adams solo shot, and he left the mound after just 63 pitches (39 strikes). Lively will take a 3.46 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 28:13 K:BB through 41.2 innings into his next outing, which is scheduled to come at home early next week against the Brewers.

Ortiz came away with a no-decision in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Nationals, coughing up six runs (five earned) on five hits and three walks over 5.1 innings. He struck out four.

The big blow off Ortiz was a two-run blast by James Wood in the third inning, but the right-hander also dealt with runners in scoring position in the first, fifth and sixth innings in the wild 10-9 loss. Ortiz tossed only 48 of 85 pitches for strikes before getting the hook, and he'll carry a 5.30 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 40:19 K:BB through 37.1 innings into his next start, which lines up to come at home this weekend against the Phillies.

Lugo allowed two runs (one earned) on seven hits and three walks while striking out three in 6.2 innings Tuesday against the White Sox. He did not factor into the decision.

Lugo tied his season high with seven hits allowed, but none went for extra bases, as the White Sox scratched across a run in the fourth and sixth innings. The three strikeouts were also his second-lowest mark of the season. Lugo still managed to post a fourth consecutive quality start, and he's gone at least six innings in six of eight starts. The 35-year-old righty is set to take the mound again to round out the weekend series against Boston.
