Cameron will be called up from Triple-A Omaha to make a spot start Saturday against the Cardinals, Joel Goldberg of Bally Sports Kansas City reports.

The left-hander covered 6.1 scoreless frames in his MLB debut April 30 while Cole Ragans was banged up, and a similar situation with Seth Lugo (finger) will provide an opening for Cameron to rejoin the big-league rotation Saturday. The 25-year-old may be in store for another short stay in the majors, however, since Lugo isn't expected to require a stint on the injured list. Cameron has been pitching well at Triple-A Omaha this season with a 3.31 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 38:13 K:BB across 32.2 innings.

Walker will re-enter the Phillies rotation next week in Colorado in place of the injured Aaron Nola (ankle), Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

The Phillies haven't revealed the exact day Walker will slot in, but he will receive at least a couple starts while Nola is sidelined. Walker pitched well in the rotation earlier this season, collecting a 2.54 ERA and 22:13 K:BB over 28.1 innings covering six starts. He has since made two long-relief appearances, allowing a total of three runs (two earned) over six innings.

The Phillies will call up Abel from Triple-A Lehigh Valley to start Sunday's game against the Pirates, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.

The right-hander will be called up for a spot start Sunday with Aaron Nola (ankle) landing on the injured list. Abel likely won't stick around in the majors, however, since Taijuan Walker will fill Nola's spot in the rotation next week in Colorado. Abel is one of the organization's top prospects and has a 2.53 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 51:19 K:BB across 46.1 innings at Triple-A Lehigh Valley this season.

The Phillies placed Nola on the 15-day injured list Friday with a right ankle sprain, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

Nola evidently suffered the injury prior to his start in Cleveland last week, which could at least partly explain why he's coughed up a whopping 13 runs over 8.2 innings in his last two outings. He will be eligible to return May 30, but it's unclear whether he will be ready to go on that date. Mick Abel is making a spot start in Nola's place Sunday versus the Pirates before Taijuan Walker re-enters the rotation.

The Red Sox transferred Crawford (knee) to the 60-day injured list Friday, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.

The move frees a spot on the 40-man roster for the addition of Nick Burdi. It does not change the timeline for Crawford, who is not expected to be ready for his season debut until at least mid-June.

Greene (groin) is scheduled to throw a bullpen session Saturday, Charlie Goldsmith of the Dayton Daily News reports.

It would appear to be the first time he has worked from the bump since going down with a Grade 1 right groin strain May 8. A return date for Greene could become clearer following Saturday's mound session.

Perez (elbow) scattered three hits and issued no walks while striking out five batters over three scoreless innings in his most recent rehab start Sunday at Single-A Jupiter.

Making the fourth start of his rehab assignment, Perez delivered his best and longest outing yet. He built up to 42 pitches (31 strikes) and averaged 96.9 miles per hour on his 24 fastballs. Per MLB.com, Perez returned to Miami on Wednesday to complete a pitch-design session, but he should be cleared to resume his rehab assignment with Jupiter or a higher-level affiliate in the coming days. While he continues to work his way back from April 2024 Tommy John surgery, Perez is expected to make four more rehab starts before returning from the 60-day injured list in early June.

Atlanta recalled Dodd from Triple-A Gwinnett on Friday.

The left-hander opened the campaign with Gwinnett and hasn't pitched particularly well with a 5.74 ERA and 1.38 WHIP across 15.2 innings, though a 21:3 K:BB is more encouraging. Dodd has primarily worked as a starter in the past, but all 16 of his appearances at Triple-A this season have come out of the bullpen, with none longer than two innings.

The Rockies are expected to call up Palmquist from Triple-A Albuquerque to make his major-league debut Friday in Arizona, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

Palmquist has collected a 3.82 ERA and 45:18 K:BB over 35.1 innings covering seven starts in a difficult pitching environment at Albuquerque this season. The left-hander boasts a career 31.1 percent strikeout rate in the minors but also an 11.2 percent walk rate. Palmquist's stint in the big-league rotation could last more than one turn, as Ryan Feltner (back) still lacks a clear return date.

Turnbull gave up one run on three hits and two walks over four innings Thursday for Single-A Dunedin. He struck out four.

He built up to 54 pitches (36 strikes) in his first outing for Dunedin, and Turnbull could be on the move again to a higher affiliate very quickly. The 32-year-old right-hander signed with the Blue Jays at the beginning of May and didn't get the benefit of spring training, but on his current trajectory he could be an option for the big-league rotation by the end of the month. Turnbull threw 54.1 innings over 17 appearances (seven starts) with the Phillies in 2024, posting a 2.65 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 58:20 K:BB.
