Miller (elbow) is expected to make his return from the 15-day injured list to start Saturday's game against the Twins, Shannon Drayer of SeattleSports.com reports.

After spending about two weeks recovering from right elbow inflammation, Miller will avoid a rehab assignment and instead jump right back into Seattle's rotation. It's unclear if the 26-year-old right-hander will have any workload limitations Saturday, but he'll square off with a Minnesota offense that's struggled lately as he tries to improve his 5.22 ERA, 1.54 WHIP and 35:21 K:BB on the season. Miller will be taking the rotation spot of Logan Evans, who was optioned to Triple-A Tacoma on Wednesday.

Hancock didn't factor into the decision Thursday against the Nationals after allowing two runs on two hits and three walks in 5.1 innings. He struck out four.

Hancock yielded a season-low two hits, but one went for extra bases on a two-run double by James Wood in the sixth inning. Hancock has fanned more than five just one time this season, and he's mostly struggled with a 5.64 ERA, 1.57 WHIP, 32:15 K:BB and .307 opponent batting average over 44.2 innings. The right-hander is tentatively set to take the mound versus the reeling Orioles next week, but Hancock is likely to lose his rotation spot once both Bryce Miller (elbow) and Logan Gilbert (elbow) come off the injured list.

Gore didn't factor into the decision Thursday against the Mariners after allowing four hits and no walks in six scoreless innings. He struck out eight.

It was Gore's first scoreless start since his first appearance of the season, and he racked up an impressive 18 whiffs. The left-hander has fanned at least eight in six of his last eight outings, during which he boasts a 2.98 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 69:15 K:BB covering 45.1 innings, and he's worked fewer than five frames on a lone occasion in 2025. Gore is the first pitcher in MLB this season to reach triple digits in strikeouts with 101, and he has offered a fairly safe fantasy floor in most instances this year, but he's in for a tough test versus the Cubs in his next scheduled start.

Gusto didn't factor into the decision Thursday against the Rays after allowing two runs on four hits and three walks in 3.2 innings. He struck out four.

Gusto was already at 31 pitches after one inning, which effectively set back the rest of his outing. The right-hander has really struggled to provide length for the Astros this season, as he's thrown at least five innings just twice among his seven starts and has a shaky 5.83 ERA, 1.64 WHIP and 32:13 K:BB over 29.1 innings as a starter. Working in Gusto's favor is a soft matchup that tentatively lines up for next week against the Pirates, who own a dismal .639 OPS in the month of May, but he remains difficult to trust for fantasy purposes.

Baz didn't factor into the decision Thursday against the Astros after allowing three runs on seven hits and no walks in 5.2 innings. He struck out three.

Baz got just four whiffs, but he did come just one out short of what could've been his first quality start since April 25. Although it was the first time the right-hander didn't issue a walk in his last eight starts, Baz still owns a rough 7.26 ERA, 1.74 WHIP and 19:13 K:BB over his last six outings (31 innings). After posting a 2.45 ERA through his first five appearances in 2025, Baz should have a prime opportunity to string together quality outings his next time out versus a Rangers team that has a miserable .602 OPS in the month of May.

Darvish (elbow) played catch from 90 feet Monday, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.

Darvish had his throwing program temporarily halted after experiencing some soreness following a minor-league rehab start May 14, but the issue was never deemed a setback, and the right-hander has since been able to resume playing catch. Per Cassavell, Darvish "didn't look inhibited" in Monday's throwing session, and manager Mike Shildt said after the hurler played catch that "he's in a good spot" and is "making steps forward." Still, there doesn't seem to be a set timeline for Darvish to restart his rehab assignment, which makes his 2025 debut date for the Padres equally hazy.

Gilbert (elbow) threw 1.2 innings, allowing one earned run on two hits and two walks while striking out three during a rehab appearance with Triple-A Tacoma on Thursday, Adam Jude of The Seattle Times reports.

This marked Gilbert's first rehab appearance, and the results were mixed. His surface stats were poor, but he managed to build up to 45 pitches while also hitting 96.8 mph with his fastball. He'll likely need at least one more rehab outing or two before being activated from the 15-day injred list.

Dodd was returned to Triple-A Gwinnett following Thursday's doubleheader against the Phillies, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

Dodd provided extra depth out of Atlanta's bullpen and retired both of the batters he faced in the eighth inning of the opening contest. That appearance marked his season debut in the majors, though he could be an option for a low-leverage role at some point during the summer.

Sale (3-3) earned the win Thursday in the second game of a doubleheader against the Phillies, allowing two hits and three walks over six scoreless innings. He struck out eight.

Sale was dominant Thursday, holding a potent Phillies offense scoreless en route to his third win this season. With his eight Ks in Thursday's nightcap, the southpaw reached 2,500 strikeouts for his career, doing so in 2,026 innings -- the fastest pitcher in MLB history to hit that milestone, breaking Randy Johnson's record of 2,107.2 innings, per Anthony Sanfilippo of the Associated Press. After a shaky start to the year, Sale has posted a 1.42 ERA with 54 strikeouts in his last seven outings (44.1 innings). Overall, the reigning NL Cy Young winner's ERA sits at 3.06 with a 1.24 WHIP and 86:19 K:BB across 12 starts (67.2 innings) this season. He'll look to keep rolling his next time out, tentatively scheduled for next week at home against the Diamondbacks.

Wheeler (6-2) took the loss Thursday in the second game of a doubleheader with Atlanta. He allowed six runs on four hits and four walks while striking out six over 5.1 innings.

It was a tough night for Wheeler, who gave up season highs in runs and walks while failing to make it through six innings for just the second time in 12 starts this year (both coming against Atlanta). The 35-year-old Wheeler's ERA now sits at 2.96 with a 0.92 WHIP and 94:18 K:BB across 76 innings. He'll look to bounce back in his next outing, currently scheduled for next week in Toronto.
