Gordon did not factor into the decision Tuesday, allowing four runs on nine hits and two walks over 4.2 innings against the Rockies. He struck out three.

The left-hander gave up a first-inning homer to Hunter Goodman and went on to allow a season-high nine hits, but he managed to limit the damage enough to help the Astros secure a win Tuesday. Gordon has been steady, if unspectacular, through nine starts this season, posting a 3-1 record with a 4.37 ERA and 1.41 WHIP over 45.1 innings.

Springs allowed two runs on four hits and three walks while striking out four in 5.1 innings Tuesday against the Rays. He did not factor into the decision.

Springs was hurt by the home run ball, with Christopher Morel and Brandon Lowe both taking him deep for solo blasts in the second and third innings, respectively. Springs was otherwise able to limit the damage, though he fell short of a quality start after Junior Caminero knocked him out of the game with a one-out double in the sixth. Springs has now allowed three earned runs or fewer in 11 of 12 starts dating back to the beginning of May, but he has just one win since May 18. Springs is projected to take the mound again next week versus Atlanta.

Boyd (8-3) earned the win Tuesday, allowing two runs on five hits and one walk over seven innings against the Guardians. He struck out five.

Boyd kept the Guardians' offense in check Tuesday, spinning seven strong innings to earn his second consecutive win and third victory in his past four starts. The veteran left-hander has put together an impressive 2025 campaign, posting a 2.65 ERA and 1.08 WHIP over 98.2 innings across 17 starts. While he doesn't overpower hitters (averaging 93.1 mph on his fastball), Boyd has found success by commanding the zone and effectively mixing his changeup and slider to minimize hard contact and deliver consistent outings.

Williams (5-4) took the loss Tuesday, allowing four runs on seven hits and four walks over 5.2 innings in a 5-2 loss against the Cubs. He struck out two.

Williams had trouble with command and putting hitters away Tuesday, issuing more walks than strikeouts for the second consecutive outing. The 25-year-old owns a 3.86 ERA through 17 starts and 86.1 innings this season, an improvement from his 4.86 ERA over 76.0 innings in 2024. However, a rise in WHIP (1.37 to 1.46), walk rate (3.8 to 5.1 BB/9) and FIP (3.66 to 4.76) suggests regression could be on the horizon. How the young right-hander holds up down the stretch as the Guardians try to stay in the playoff hunt will be worth monitoring.

DeGrom (9-2) notched the win Tuesday against Baltimore, allowing two runs on five hits and one walk in six innings. He struck out six.

The star right-hander extended his streak of quality starts to six, tossing at least six innings while yielding two runs or fewer each time during that stretch. DeGrom served up a home run Tuesday for the first time in his last six outings. Over 101.1 innings in 2025, deGrom boasts a 2.13 ERA, 0.89 WHIP and 100:21 K:BB, and he is tentatively projected to take the ball next week against the Angels in Anaheim.

Young (0-3) took the loss Tuesday against Texas, allowing three runs on six hits and two walks in four innings. He struck out four.

Young has now failed to throw at least five innings or give up fewer than three runs in any of his first four starts in 2025. Through these 16.2 frames, the 26-year-old rookie right-hander holds a ghastly 7.02 ERA, 1.98 WHIP and 15:11 K:BB. His next turn in Baltimore's rotation is tentatively slated for next week against a formidable Mets lineup, and it's possible that Young will stick around in the major leagues due to the absences of both Zach Eflin (back) and Cade Povich (hip).

Holmes didn't factor into the decision Tuesday against the Angels, allowing three hits and three walks in six scoreless innings. He struck out 10.

Holmes racked up double-digit strikeouts for the second time in his last four starts, generating a remarkable 27 whiffs in the process. The right-hander has managed to fan at least nine in four of his last seven outings, turning in two scoreless appearances during this span. Holmes has been a strong fantasy contributor with a 3.04 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 87:28 K:BB over his last 12 starts (68 frames), and his next assignment is slated for this weekend at home versus the Orioles.

Anderson didn't factor into the decision Tuesday against Atlanta, allowing four hits and two walks in six scoreless innings. He struck out seven.

The soft-throwing left-hander kept the Atlanta batters off balance throughout his outing, producing 15 whiffs en route to matching a season high in punchouts. It was also Anderson's first scoreless appearance since April 18 and his first quality start since May 27. The veteran southpaw will take a 4.12 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 77:35 K:BB over 91.2 innings into his next scheduled start against the red-hot Blue Jays, who are hitting .289 versus left-handed pitching since and including May 28.

Yamamoto (8-6) allowed a run on three hits and a walk while striking out eight over seven innings to earn the win over the White Sox on Tuesday.

Yamamoto has taken advantage of a pair of favorable matchups, allowing a total of one run on four hits and two walks over 12 innings combined against the Rockies and White Sox. The right-hander should be gaining some confidence from these outings after a shaky stretch against tougher opponents earlier in June. Yamamoto has a 2.51 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 109:32 K:BB through 96.2 innings over 17 starts this season.

Smith (3-6) allowed six runs on six hits and three walks while striking out six over 4.2 innings to take the loss Tuesday versus the Dodgers.

Smith was no match for the Dodgers, giving up three runs in the first inning and never really settling in that well. He's now lost three straight outings, giving up 17 runs (16 earned) over 11 innings in that span. For the season, Smith has a 3.86 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 74:35 K:BB through 79.1 innings over 16 starts, but it appears the success he found earlier in the year is drying up quickly. His next start is projected to be at Colorado this weekend.
