Sixto Sanchez SP | MIA
Phillies' Sixto Sanchez: Promoted to High-A
The Phillies have promoted Sanchez to High-A Clearwater, Corey Seidman of CSN Philadelphia reports.
Sanchez earned his promotion after going 5-3 with a 2.41 ERA and a 64:9 K:BB in 67.1 innings for Low-A Lakewood this season. The 19-year-old has rapidly ascended the prospect ranks this season thanks to his ability to command his mid-to-high-90s fastball.

Anthony DeSclafani RP | ARI
Reds' Anthony DeSclafani: Forearm issue not deemed severe
DeSclafani (elbow) isn't expected to miss much time due to the forearm discomfort he experienced in his most recent rehab start, Zach Buchanan of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
The injury appears to be fairly minor, thankfully, and Buchanan adds that no further operations (including Tommy John surgery that's frequently associated with forearm tightness) are expected to be necessary. DeSclafani appears to be close to returning from the DL, although this setback likely pushes his return timetable into late August at the earliest.

Stephen Strasburg SP | WAS
Nationals' Stephen Strasburg: Set for Friday bullpen
Strasburg (elbow) is slated to throw a bullpen session Friday but isn't certain when he'll participate in a simulated game, Jorge Castillo of The Washington Post reports.
The right-hander said he's feeling better now than he did a few days ago, but Strasburg's fantasy owners would love to see this optimism translate into an accelerated timetable. Considering the Nationals have all but locked up the NL East, they're not going to rush back one of their two aces, so Strasburg may not resurface in the rotation for at least another week.
-
Brandon Woodruff SP | MIL
Brewers' Brandon Woodruff: Recalled for big-league debut Friday
The Brewers recalled Woodruff from Triple-A Colorado Springs ahead of his scheduled Friday start.
The right-hander, who's making his big-league debut, has a 4.46 ERA for the Sky Sox but boasts a promising skill set that's etched a 8.7 K/9 and 3.0 BB/9. Woodruff may have an extended opportunity in the rotation if Chase Anderson (oblique) must sit for a few more weeks, so NL-only fantasy players at least could find some utility here.

Jerad Eickhoff SP | PIT
Phillies' Jerad Eickhoff: Provides quality start Thursday
Eickhoff (2-7) gave up three runs on three hits and four walks while fanning five over the course of six innings but came away with a no-decision during Thursday's loss to the Angels.
After allowing a first-inning two-run home run to Mike Trout, the right-hander settled down and delivered another solid performance from the mound. Since coming off the disabled list (back) July 9, Eickhoff has given the Phillies four good outings in five opportunities. He has now amassed over 100 innings this season, posting a 4.56 ERA and 1.46 WHIP. The greatest discrepancies for Eickhoff in terms of separating 2016 from this year's campaign are walk rate and BABIP. The 27-year-old's BB/9 has doubled from 1.9 to 3.8, while his BABIP is .324, nearly 40 points higher than his mark last year. Looking ahead, Eickhoff's next projected start figures to come against the Braves on Wednesday.

Sammy Solis SP | SD
Nationals' Sammy Solis: Rejoins big club
The Nationals recalled Solis from Triple-A Syracuse on Friday.
He takes the place of Enny Romero, who was placed on the 10-day disabled list with a left forearm strain. Solis is saddled with a 14.00 ERA over nine innings with the Nationals but was lethal in 2016 (2.41 ERA, 10.3 K/9, 4.6 BB/9 in 41 frames). Perhaps he'll reclaim a steady role in important middle-inning appearances.
-
Jake Thompson SP | PHI
Phillies' Jake Thompson: Sent back to minors
Thompson was optioned to Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Thursday, Matt Gelb of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Thompson is heading back to Triple-A after a rough outing earlier this week. The Phillies have an off-day Monday, which could allow them to bring up a reliever temporarily and skip the need for a fifth starter. Mark Leiter, Zach Eflin and Ben Lively (knee) are the likely options to eventually fill the rotation opening.

Alex Wood RP | ATH
Dodgers' Alex Wood: Gets revenge on Braves
Wood (13-1) held the Braves to one run on seven hits with two walks and two strikeouts over six innings in Thursday's win.
Wood gave up a run in the first inning, but proceeded to shut the door from there on the same team that tagged him for nine runs in 4.2 innings for his only loss back on July 21. The 26-year-old lefty has now pitched at least five innings of one-run ball or better in 11 of 17 starts. Repeating this effort will be difficult in his next outing, which is scheduled for Wednesday at Arizona's hitter-friendly Chase Field.

Jose Quintana SP | COL
Cubs' Jose Quintana: Bitten by D-backs Thursday
Quintana allowed six runs on six hits and a walk while striking out six batters through five innings during Thursday's loss to Arizona. He didn't factor into the decision.
Quintana surrendered three home runs during the game, which was his undoing, and the final result wasn't pretty. However, he pitched around two rain delays, so it's probably wise not to put too much emphasis on the poor showing. After all, the lefty had allowed three runs or fewer in each of his past 10 starts for a 2.59 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 10.7 K/9. Quintana lines up to face the Giants at AT&T Park in his next start.

Zack Greinke SP | KC
Diamondbacks' Zack Greinke: Struggles late against Cubs
Greinke allowed six runs on nine hits while striking out eight batters through six innings during Thursday's win over the Cubs. He didn't factor into the decision.
Greinke held Chicago to two runs through five innings before surrendering three in the sixth and being charged with another in the seventh frame. He looked sharp for most of the afternoon, and also pitched around two rain delays, so there shouldn't be any overreactions to his underwhelming final stat line. Greinke takes a 3.10 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 9.9 K/9 into his next start, which projects to be against the Dodgers at Chase Field.
