Kyle Wright SP | CHC
Braves' Kyle Wright: Recalled from Triple-A
Wright was recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett on Monday.
Wright owns a 7.07 ERA in three starts for Atlanta this season and a 6.08 ERA in 11 starts for Gwinnett. The Braves have an opening in the rotation on Thursday, but it would be odd for Wright to be called up just to sit on the bench until then, so he's likely set for a bullpen role. Grant Dayton was optioned in a corresponding move.

Touki Toussaint RP | LAA
Braves' Touki Toussaint: Could be rotation option
Toussaint could be a candidate to make a spot start Thursday against the Cubs, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.
The Braves haven't tipped their hand regarding their plans for Foltynewicz's rotation spot, but O'Brien speculates that Gwinnett starter Bryse Wilson is the top candidate for the nod, since Wilson would be available to pitch Thursday on normal rest. Toussaint, meanwhile, has worked in relief for Atlanta since being promoted from Triple-A Gwinnett in mid-May, posting a 3.80 ERA and 1.41 WHIP across 14 appearances. Since five of those outings were of the multi-inning variety, Toussaint would be decently stretched out to start if the Braves prefer to replace Foltynewicz with a pitcher already on the 25-man roster.

Kolby Allard RP | CLE
Braves' Kolby Allard: Solid first half at Gwinnett
Allard tossed his fourth straight quality start for Triple-A Gwinnett on Sunday, giving up one run on three hits and two walks over six innings while striking out five.
The 21-year-old lefty hasn't been dominant this year, but Allard now has a 3.75 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 68:29 K:BB through 84 innings. He's been passed up on the Atlanta depth chart by a number of other prospects since being drafted in the first round in 2015, but after making his big-league debut in 2018, he could still factor into the team's plans after the All-Star break if injuries hit the rotation. Per Mark Bowman of MLB.com, Allard could be a candidate to join the big club to make a spot start as soon as Friday against the Mets, in the event Mike Soroka (forearm) needs to be pushed back an additional day or two. Along with Allard, Bryse Wilson and Kyle Wright will also merit consideration if another arm needs to be added to the rotation this week.

Miles Mikolas RP | WAS
Cardinals' Miles Mikolas: Labors through five innings in loss
Mikolas (5-8) gave up one run on seven hits and two walks while striking out four in five innings, taking the the loss against the Angels on Sunday.
Though he gave up only one run, Mikolas stumbled throughout the outing, needing 90 pitches to make it through five frames. He allowed at least one baserunner in all but one inning and induced only six swinging strikes. The loss is Mikolas' sixth in his last seven decisions dating back to May 11. He'll carry a 4.33 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 65:17 K:BB into his next start, on the road against the Padres on Sunday.

Joey Lucchesi RP | LAA
Padres' Joey Lucchesi: Allows four runs
Lucchesi didn't factor into the decision Sunday against the Pirates after allowing four runs on six hits in five innings. He struck out four.
Lucchesi retired the first six batters he faced before running into trouble in the third inning, yielding a pair of runs on a double, two singles and a sacrifice fly before escaping the frame. The southpaw allowed two more runs over the next two innings and was subsequently removed prior to the sixth inning. He'll carry a 3.95 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 8.8 K/9 into his next start, which is expected to happen at home Saturday against the Cardinals.

Kenta Maeda SP | NYY
Dodgers' Kenta Maeda: Limits Rockies to two runs
Maeda did not factor into the decision against Colorado on Sunday, giving up two runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out six.
Pitching on extra rest after taking a line drive to his right hand in his last start, Maeda showed no lingering ill effects, limiting the Rockies to two runs and needing only 86 pitches to get through seven innings. In 15 starts this season, the 31-year-old has posted a 3.76 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 83:28 K:BB in 83.2 innings. He'll head to Colorado to again square off against the Rockies on Friday in his next scheduled start.

Merrill Kelly SP | ARI
Diamondbacks' Merrill Kelly: Strikes out nine in no-decision
Kelly allowed two runs on four hits and two walks across six innings in a no-decision Sunday against the Giants. He struck out nine.
Kelly scattered baserunners through six innings, allowing just one run during a fourth-inning rally. He came back out for the seventh, but he allowed a solo home run to lead off the frame and remove him from contention for a win. Still, Kelly turned in a quality start and matched his second-best strikeout total of the season during a nice bounce-back effort after he was touched up for five runs in his previous outing. He will face this same Giants club on the road in his next start.

Antonio Senzatela RP | MIL
Rockies' Antonio Senzatela: Pitches into seventh in no-decision
Senzatela tossed 6.2 innings against the Dodgers on Sunday and allowed two runs on five hits but did not factor into the decision. He walked one batter and struck out five.
Senzatela breezed through six scoreless innings but ran into trouble in the seventh, when he allowed back-to-back hits with one out. Still in line for a victory, he then handed the ball over to Chad Bettis, who promptly served up a homer to Chris Taylor on his first pitch to put the Dodgers in the lead. Nonetheless, the strong outing earned Senzatela another quality start -- the fifth in his last six appearances. The 24-year-old has been mostly boom or bust this season, posting a 6-2 record and 2.91 ERA over 65 innings in 11 of his starts but imploding for an 0-3 record and 15.00 ERA over 12 innings in the other three. If he can learn to avoid the blowups and improve upon an ugly 45:34 K:BB, Senzatela may live up to the potential that made him the 2015 Class A California League Pitcher of the Year. He'll face the Dodgers again -- this time at home -- Friday in his next scheduled start.

Cole Hamels SP | SD
Cubs' Cole Hamels: Fires quality start in no-decision
Hamels gave up three runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out five through seven innings in a no-decision against the Mets on Sunday.
Hamels cruised through the first three innings before allowing two solo home runs and an RBI in the fourth and fifth innings. He was extremely efficient, throwing 55 strikes and only needing 84 pitches to make it through seven innings. The left-hander has a 1.00 ERA over his last five outings, all of which were quality starts. Hamels will get his next opportunity Saturday against the Reds at Great American Ball Park.

Jacob deGrom SP | TEX
Mets' Jacob deGrom: Strikes out nine in no-decision
DeGrom gave up two runs on eight hits and no walks while striking out nine through six innings in a no-decision against the Cubs on Sunday.
DeGrom was dominant in his fifth consecutive quality start, gathering 22 swinging strikes, including 15 on his slider. DeGrom had a callus rip off his foot in the game, but he said he was physically fine. The right-hander has a 4-6 record with a 3.25 ERA through 16 starts this season. DeGrom will make his next start Friday against the Braves at Citi Field.
