Alex Wood RP | ATH
Reds' Alex Wood: Beginning rehab stint Saturday
Wood (back) will join Triple-A Louisville for a rehab start Saturday, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.
Wood completed a bullpen session Wednesday to clear the way for the rehab assignment following his recent setback. The 28-year-old has been on the injured list all season with the back issues and has endured multiple setbacks, so he's likely to require a handful of rehab outings before returning to the majors.

Merrill Kelly SP | ARI
Diamondbacks' Merrill Kelly: Posts quality start in no-decision
Kelly did not factor into the decision during Wednesday's loss at Dodger Stadium, allowing three runs on six hits over six innings while striking out two.
Kelly retired his first three batters in just seven pitches but faced a tougher fate with a 44-pitch second inning. The 30-year-old allowed three runs, including a solo shot to Cody Bellinger and a pair of two-out RBI singles. Otherwise, Kelly kept the Dodgers' bats quiet to turn in a quality start. The right-hander now owns a 4.03 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 81:28 K:BB through 18 starts.

Walker Buehler SP | SD
Dodgers' Walker Buehler: Fans nine in no-decision
Buehler took a no-decision in Wednesday's win over the Diamondbacks, recording nine strikeouts while surrendering three runs on nine hits over seven innings.
Buehler's major damage came in the form of a two-run home run to Christian Walker in the fourth and an RBI double he allowed to Ketel Marte in the seventh that knotted the score at 3-3. The Dodgers ended up winning, but not until a walk-off homer from Cody Bellinger in the 10th. It was the third time in Buehler's career that he recorded at least nine strikeouts while not issuing any walks. The 24-year-old southpaw now owns a 3.46 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 113:14 K:BB, and he'll look to continue building upon a standout season in his next start after the All-Star break.

Adam Wainwright SP | STL
Cardinals' Adam Wainwright: Fans six in no-decision
Wainwright took a no-decision during Wednesday's win over the Mariners, surrendering two runs on four hits and three walks while striking out six over five innings.
Wainwright worked around a few walks and a single to hold the Mariners scoreless through four until Dylan Moore launched a solo homer in the fifth inning. The 37-year-old was then pulled in the sixth after allowing a leadoff single to Domingo Santana, who eventually scored on a wild pitch from reliever Tyler Webb. Wainwright, who was pitching at T-Mobile Park for the first time in his 14-year career, threw just 63 of 101 pitches for strikes. The right-hander now owns a 4.31 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 82:36 K:BB over 16 starts.

Yu Darvish SP | SD
Cubs' Yu Darvish: Tosses up two homers in no-decision
Darvish recorded six strikeouts and allowed four runs on seven hits across 6.2 innings during a no-decision against the Pirates on Wednesday.
The 32-year-old didn't issue a free pass Wednesday, but he did yield two homers. Darvish has allowed nine home runs in his last five appearances, and he only avoided a loss Wednesday because the Cubs responded with a homer to take the lead after he departed. Darvish is 2-4 with a 5.01 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 111 strikeouts in 97 innings this season.

Sandy Alcantara SP | MIA
Marlins' Sandy Alcantara: Loses second straight versus Nats
Alcantara (4-8) allowed two runs on four hits with four walks and five strikeouts across 5.2 innings while taking a loss against the Nationals on Wednesday.
The right-hander allowed just a two-run homer, but that was enough for the Nationals, as the Marlins supported Alcantara with just one late run. This was much better than his last start against the Nationals, one in which he yielded six runs in six innings. However, it was still Alcantara's second straight loss. He is 4-7 with a 3.82 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 70 strikeouts in 101.1 innings this season.

Stephen Strasburg SP | WAS
Nationals' Stephen Strasburg: Tosses 7.1 scoreless frames
Strasburg (10-4) recorded 14 strikeouts across 7.1 innings while allowing two hits and two walks to earn a victory against the Marlins on Wednesday.
In addition to the season-high 14 strikeouts, this was the first time Strasburg reached double-digit whiffs since May 28. It was also the first time he didn't give up any runs in an outing since April 4. Strasburg is 10-4 with a 3.64 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 138 strikeouts in 116.1 innings this season. Assuming the Nationals don't change their rotation over the All-Star break, Strasburg will pitch next at the Phillies on Friday.

Cal Quantrill RP | TEX
Padres' Cal Quantrill: Gives up three runs
Quantrill gave up three runs on five hits and one walk while striking out four through 4.1 innings in a no-decision against the Giants on Wednesday.
Quantrill pitched effectively except for a three-run inning in the third frame. The right-hander was pulled after 72 pitches, but he was not stretched out after making his last four appearances out of the bullpen. Quantrill has a 2-2 record and a 4.83 ERA going into the All-Star break.

Juan Nicasio SP | TEX
Phillies' Juan Nicasio: Nursing groin injury
Nicasio has a left groin injury and could be headed to the injured list, Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Nicasio has apparently been dealing with the injury for a few days but attempted to pitch through the issue, and he struggled Wednesday by giving up three runs on four hits while recording one out. The 32-year-old will be re-evaluated Thursday to determine whether an IL stint is necessary.

Sonny Gray SP | BOS
Reds' Sonny Gray: Dominant in win over Brewers
Gray was brilliant Wednesday over the Brewers, throwing eight shutout innings while striking out 12 batters in the win.
That's back-to-back good outings for Gray, who finally evened his win-loss record at 5-5 after a rough run of luck to begin the season. He had a similarly brilliant outing against the Brewers earlier in the season, albeit not in his most recent outing against them.
