Walker did not factor into the decision Wednesday against the White Sox, allowing two runs on seven hits over five innings.

The two runs charged to Walker came on a pair of solo homers -- Kyle Teel opened the scoring in the first inning before Colson Montgomery took the right-hander deep to tie the game in the fourth. The 32-year-old Walker has made 12 starts for the Phillies this season, though he's yet to make it through six innings since his first outing of the year April 3 against Colorado. Overall, his ERA sits at 3.82 with a 1.36 WHIP and 56:25 K:BB across 73 innings this season. Walker is expected to remain in a starting role until Aaron Nola (ankle/rib) is ready to return, though he could be relegated to the bullpen if the Phillies elect to bolster their rotation ahead of Thursday's trade deadline.

Gore (4-11) took the loss Wednesday against Houston, allowing six runs on eight hits and a walk across 5.1 innings. He struck out four.

Five of the Astros' six runs against Gore came via the long ball -- Jose Altuve took Gore deep with two on and two outs in the second inning before Cooper Hummel added a two-run shot in the sixth. It's the third straight loss for Gore and his sixth in his last eight outings. The left-hander's seen his ERA rise to 3.80 with a 1.29 WHIP and 148:45 K:BB across 22 starts (123 innings) this season. Gore's name has surfaced in trade rumors ahead of Thursday's deadline, though he remains tentatively lined up for a home matchup with the A's next week should he stay with the Nats.

Webb did not factor into the decision in Wednesday's 2-1 extra-inning loss to the Pirates, allowing one run on five hits and four walks with 11 strikeouts over 5.2 innings.

Webb recorded his first double-digit strikeout game since June 7 but also tied a season high with four walks, departing an out shy of a quality start at 109 pitches. It was still an encouraging rebound for the All-Star, who had surrendered 16 earned runs over 15.1 innings in his previous three starts. He'll carry a 3.31 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 155:34 K:BB across 141.1 innings into a road rematch with the Pirates early next week.

The Mets traded Dohm to the Cardinals on Wednesday alongside Jesus Baez and Frank Elissalt in exchange for Ryan Helsley, Will Sammon of The Athletic reports.

Dohm has split time between Single-A and High-A during his first season as a professional, logging a 2.87 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 77:23 K:BB over 62.2 innings between the two levels. Now in the Cardinals' farm system, the 22-year-old righty will likely report to St. Louis' High-A affiliate in Peoria.

Burrows did not factor into the decision in Wednesday's 2-1 extra-inning win over the Giants, allowing one run on three hits and one walk with seven strikeouts over six innings.

Burrows allowed a run in the fourth inning but was otherwise sharp, throwing 61 of 91 pitches for strikes while limiting the Giants to three singles. The young right-hander has turned in back-to-back quality starts and yielded just three earned runs over 17 frames in his past three outings. He'll carry a 3.88 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 60:21 K:BB across 58 innings into a home rematch with the Giants early next week.

Manager Dave Roberts said Wednesday that May will work out of the bullpen going forward and will be available as a multi-inning reliever Friday against the Rays, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.

The right-hander worked behind Shohei Ohtani as a bulk reliever last week and will now be making the full shift to the bullpen. May has otherwise exclusively worked as a traditional starter this season, and his performance in his first year back from flexor tendon and UCL revision surgery has been underwhelming with a 4.85 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 97:43 K:BB across 104 innings.

Peralta (12-5) took the loss against the Cubs on Wednesday, allowing five runs on five hits and four walks with three strikeouts over four innings.

Peralta tied a season high with four walks and was undone by a four-run third inning in his shortest start of the season. The 29-year-old has now yielded 10 earned runs over 14 innings in his past three outings after opening July with three straight quality starts. He owns a 3.08 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 134:46 K:BB across 125.2 innings and will aim to rebound in a road matchup with Atlanta early next week.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said that Snell (shoulder) will be reinstated from the 60-day injured list to start Saturday against the Rays, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Snell has been on the shelf since early April due to left shoulder inflammation. He steadily progressed through his throwing program and was effective during his four-start rehab assignment. In his most recent outing this past Saturday for Triple-A Oklahoma City, he threw 76 pitches across 4.2 scoreless innings. Though Snell has finally been given the green light to make his first start for the big club since April 2, he's still likely to have some minor workload limitations in place Saturday.

Imanaga (8-4) earned the win against the Brewers on Wednesday, allowing three runs on five hits and no walks with eight strikeouts over five innings.

Imanaga was tagged for two homers by William Contreras but was otherwise sharp, throwing 65 of 89 pitches for strikes with 13 whiffs. It was a solid bounce-back after he gave up seven runs to the White Sox on Friday, though Imanaga will finish July having allowed nine homers over six starts. The southpaw carries a 3.25 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 63:17 K:BB across 83 innings into a home matchup with the Reds early next week.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said that Sheehan "might be" available to work in relief behind right-hander Shohei Ohtani in Wednesday's game against the Reds, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

For the first time since Ohtani made his 2025 debut as a pitcher June 16, the Dodgers aren't committed to having another hurler piggyback him, but the two-way player will still be limited to four innings in his seventh start of the season while he continues to gradually increase his workload following his second career elbow surgery in September 2023. Sheehan had started in his previous two appearances with the Dodgers, but with Blake Snell (shoulder) likely to return from the 60-day injured list this weekend to give the team six healthy starters, Sheehan looks set to move to the bullpen for the time being. The right-hander will be available on four days' rest and should be capable of covering multiple innings behind Ohtani, if needed.
