Gibson allowed four runs on three hits, two walks and a hit batter with six strikeouts in six innings Friday, taking a no-decision versus Pittsburgh.

While the right-hander wasn't that great on the mound, he helped his own cause by opening the scoring with a solo home run in the third inning. Gibson now has a 3.60 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 147:62 K:BB across 177.2 innings between Philadelphia and Texas this year, although he's had significantly more trouble in his 11 games as a Phillie. His last start of the regular season is tentatively set for next week in Atlanta, although he shouldn't be expected to flash a Shohei Ohtani-like skill set again.

Gray allowed four runs on five hits and four walks over four innings in Friday's win over Washington. He struck out three and did not factor in the decision.

All four runs against Gray came in the first three innings. He served up solo homers to Keibert Ruiz and Alcides Escobar. The 31-year-old righty had allowed three or fewer earned runs in eight straight outings before Friday's lackluster performance. Gray now owns a 3.99 ERA with a 149:48 K:BB through 130.2 innings. He's projected to face the White Sox on the road next week.

Steele (3-4) allowed six runs on seven hits and two walks with five strikeouts in five innings Friday, taking the loss in the first game of a doubleheader versus the Cardinals.

The left-hander put too many runners on base, as all three home runs he allowed plated a pair of runs. Steele has now given up 12 long balls in 50 innings this season. The poor outing inflated his ERA to 4.86 with a 1.44 WHIP and 52:26 K:BB in 19 appearances (eight starts). He's projected to make one more start this season, a rematch with the Cardinals in St. Louis during next weekend's three-game series.

Cabrera (0-3) allowed three runs on two hits and four walks over three innings Friday, striking out six and taking a loss against the Rays.

Cabrera served up a three-run double to Randy Arozarena in the first inning. Despite the disappointing final line, the right-handed rookie retired the last six batters he faced with four strikeouts. He's given up at least three earned runs in four of his first six MLB appearances and his ERA is up to 5.79 through 23.1 frames. Cabrera is projected to face the Mets on the road next week.

Syndergaard (elbow) will make his second rehab appearance Saturday, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

Syndergaard tossed a scoreless inning during his first rehab appearance Wednesday, and he'll be in the mix to rejoin the Mets following Saturday's outing. The right-hander could be activated as soon as Tuesday, and he'll take on a bullpen role once he's cleared to return.

Flaherty (shoulder) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list Friday.

Flaherty spent exactly a month on the injured list, but he'll return to the mound to start the second game of Friday's doubleheader against the Cubs. However, the right-hander will presumably be on a pitch count in Friday's outing since he didn't have time to build up to a full starter's workload prior to his activation.

Miley (neck) is on track to start Monday against Pittsburgh, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Miley would have been on schedule to start Friday against Washington but was pushed back due to a stiff neck. Previous reports indicated he'd pitch no sooner than Monday, but it looks as though he won't need to be delayed any more than that.

Freeland allowed three earned runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out five across six innings Thursday against the Dodgers. He did not factor into the decision.

Though Freeland allowed eight hits, only one went for extra bases. All three of the earned runs against him came in the second inning, when he allowed three consecutive hits to begin the frame. However, he held the Dodgers scoreless for the rest of his outing and has now allowed three or fewer earned runs in six of his last eight starts -- three of which have come at home. For the season, Freeland has a 4.50 ERA and 102:34 K:BB across 114 innings.

Overton started Thursday's 12-6 loss to Philadelphia, allowing four runs on two hits and two walks with four strikeouts in 2.2 innings. He didn't factor into the decision.

Overton was on tap to open Wednesday's game but a rainout delayed his start one game and enabled him to pitch more than just two innings. The 28-year-old started strong by recording six consecutive outs -- four via the strikeout -- but permitted four runs in the third before being removed, which were his first runs allowed in 14.1 innings this season. Despite the rough outing, Overton still owns a 2.51 ERA and 0.91 WHIP with 13 strikeouts and potentially lines up for another start next week against the Cubs.

Nola (9-8) got the win in Thursday's 12-6 victory over Pittsburgh, allowing six runs on six hits and a walk with eight strikeouts in six innings.

The bulk of the damage against Nola came during a five-run second, when a Ke'Bryan Hayes home run cleaned up a bases-loaded one-out jam with. Despite the early six-run hole, Philadelphia rallied with five runs in the third and three in the sixth to earn the 28-year-old consecutive wins. Nola has a high 6.58 ERA across 26 innings in five September starts and is slated to pitch against Atlanta on Wednesday.
