Suarez did not factor into the decision against Atlanta on Friday, allowing one run on two hits while striking out four and walking three over six innings.

Suarez was able to limit the damage to just one run on a William Contreras home run in the fourth inning, giving the southpaw a quality start. This was Suarez's first quality start since Aug. 17. Since then, he has given up 13 earned runs across 26 innings, good for a 4.50 ERA during that span. Suarez now has a 3.53 ERA on the season to go along with a 1.30 WHIP.

Walker (12-4) earned the win against the Pirates on Friday, allowing three runs (two earned) on five hits while striking out five and walking none over 7.1 innings.

Walker tossed 65 of 100 pitches for strikes across 7.1 frames Friday. This was the second win in a row for the veteran righty as well as his second consecutive quality start. This has been a solid month for Walker, who has a 3.26 ERA in three starts after pitching to a 6.98 ERA last month. That has left him with a 3.42 ERA on the season to go along with a 1.18 WHIP and 111 strikeouts across 142 innings.

Keller (5-11) took the loss to the Mets on Friday, allowing three runs on five hits while striking out six and walking two over six innings.

Keller pitched well enough to earn a quality start Friday, his fourth in a row and his 12th of the year, but still came away with the loss. He tossed 57 of 84 pitches for strikes across six frames. The righty has been impressive this month, allowing three runs across 19 innings pitched for a 1.42 ERA. Keller now has a 4.03 ERA on the season, but also has an ugly 1.40 WHIP.

Webb (13-9) took the loss Friday versus the Dodgers, allowing four runs on seven hits and two walks with two strikeouts in four innings.

Webb kept the ball in the yard for the seventh time in his last eight starts, but the Dodgers were able to beat him with small ball. The right-hander threw 57 of 90 pitches for strikes in a lackluster start. His ERA rose to 3.02 with a 1.19 WHIP and 151:48 K:BB through 182 innings across 30 starts this year. Webb is projected for a daunting road start in Colorado next week.

May (2-2) earned the win Friday, allowing just one walk across five no-hit, shutout innings versus the Giants. He struck out four.

May hadn't won a start since his season debut Aug. 20. He turned things around in a big way Friday, though the Dodgers exercised caution by pulling him after 69 pitches (40 strikes). Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reported May was dealing with some arm soreness after his previous start Sept. 10, which may explain manager Dave Roberts' approach Friday. May now has a 3.46 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 25:12 K:BB through 26 innings across five starts since returning from Tommy John surgery. He's tentatively projected for a home start versus the Diamondbacks next week.

Snell (7-9) allowed one run on four hits and struck out seven without issuing a walk in seven innings to earn the win Friday over the Diamondbacks.

Snell's lone mistake was a Christian Walker solo home run in the fourth inning. Beyond that, Snell turned in his longest outing of the year, and one of his best, as well as his third quality start in his last four games. The lefty trimmed his ERA to 3.85 with a 1.29 WHIP and 146:45 K:BB across 110 innings through 21 starts this year. He's projected for a home start versus the Cardinals next week.

Matz (knee) will continue his rehab assignment with Triple-A Memphis on Sunday, John Denton of MLB.com reports.

It will be the fifth rehab appearance for Matz, who to this point has given up two runs on three hits with five strikeouts and four walks over 4.1 innings. The veteran southpaw will finish the season as a reliever for St. Louis and could be activated from the injured list as early as Tuesday.

Wheeler (forearm) pitched to hitters and threw two simulated innings Friday, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

After a few solid throwing sessions, Wheeler is on track to return Wednesday against the Blue Jays. He will almost certainly be put on a pitch count when he returns, though there is no word on exactly how far he will be allowed to pitch into the game.

Cavalli experienced shoulder discomfort when throwing Wednesday and will be shut down from throwing for 3-7 days as a precaution, Jessica Camerato of MLB.com reports.

He resumed a throwing program Wednesday and quickly re-aggravated his shoulder injury, after which Cavalli received a cortisone shot, per Mark Zuckerman of MASN Sports. The right-hander won't return to game action this season, but he will compete for a rotation spot next year in spring training if he is healthy.

Miley's next start has been pushed back to Monday against the Marlins, Gordon Wittenmyer of NBC Sports Chicago reports.

Miley was initially listed as the starter for Saturday's matchup against the Rockies, but Hayden Wesneski will take the mound instead. Miley doesn't appear to be dealing with any sort of injury, and the move was likely made to give the veteran left-hander a couple extra days of rest before his next outing. Over two starts since returning to action from a shoulder issue, Miley has posted a 3.00 ERA and 1.00 WHIP in nine innings.
