Kelly (13-7) earned the win during Saturday's 5-2 victory over San Francisco, allowing two runs on four hits and one walk with six strikeouts in seven innings.

Kelly surrendered one run in the fourth inning to fall behind, but Arizona responded with all five runs in the bottom of the frame to halt his losing streak at two games. The 33-year-old fired 65 of 93 pitches for strikes with 13 of the swinging variety en route to notching six strikeouts for the third straight start and eighth time in his last nine turns. Kelly's ERA has risen from 2.86 to 3.13 during the stretch, though he's recorded 59 strikeouts in 57.1 innings compared to an 8.0 K/9 on the season.

Ashcraft (5-4) took the loss Saturday, allowing four runs on eight hits over four innings against the Brewers. He struck out two.

Ashcraft was able to keep the Brewers off the board for the first three innings before running into trouble in the fourth. After Rowdy Tellez reached on a one-out single, Hunter Renfroe crushed a hanging slider over the wall in left field to put the Reds down 2-1. The right-hander then proceeded to hit Luis Urias with a pitch two batters later before giving up back-to-back singles and allowing two more runs to cross the plate. Ashcraft looked a bit rusty in his return from the injured list and will seek better results in his next start, which should come next week against the Cubs.

Burnes (11-8) earned the win against the Reds on Saturday, allowing two runs on four hits over 6.1 innings. He struck out eight and walked three.

After striking out the first two batters he faced, Burnes issued a walk to Kyle Farmer and gave up back-to-back singles to Stuart Fairchild and Alejo Lopez to allow the game's first run. Burnes settled down after that, putting together three 1-2-3 innings in a row before eventually giving up a second run on a Matt Reynolds single in the bottom of the seventh. The right-hander came into Saturday's game having lost his last two starts, allowing eight runs on 14 hits over that 12.2-inning stretch (5.68 ERA).

Darvish (16-7) earned the win during Saturday's 9-3 victory over Colorado, allowing two runs on five hits and one walk with eight strikeouts in six innings.

Darvish rebounded after surrendering a leadoff Ryan McMahon home run in the first inning to limit Colorado to only one more run over the next five frames, and he fell in line for his 16th win as San Diego plated three runs by the fifth. The 36-year-old fired 63 of 87 pitches for strikes with 17 of the swinging variety and has now won six straight starts, pitching to a 1.80 ERA with 44 strikeouts in 40 innings during the stretch. Darvish carries a 3.05 ERA and 0.93 WHIP into his next start, currently scheduled for next weekend against the White Sox.

Miley exited Saturday's game against the Pirates with left oblique tightness, Taylor McGregor of Marquee Sports Network reports.

The lefty made it four innings, allowing three runs (one earned) on three hits and a walk while striking out three, before the injury forced him off the hill. It ended up being a disappointing two-start week for Miley -- he gave up seven runs (three earned) over three innings in Miami on Monday. This could end his season, though Miley's status for his next start is currently up in the air.

May was placed on the 15-day injured list with lower-back tightness Saturday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

The timing of the injury means that May's 2022 regular season is officially over. He returned from Tommy John surgery in late August to make six starts, recording a mediocre 4.50 ERA. It's not yet clear if the injury is expected to carry over into the postseason, though it's worth noting that the Dodgers can afford to exercise an abundance of caution given that they've nearly locked up home-field advantage throughout the playoffs. Andre Jackson was recalled to take May's place on the roster.

Gonsolin (forearm) will return to the majors after just one rehab start if his outing Tuesday for Triple-A Oklahoma City goes well, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Gonsolin hasn't pitched in a game in over a month due to a strained right forearm. The only way he can make it back this year is if he returns after a single rehab appearance, but it looks like that's the Dodgers' plan. While he's expected to pitch as a starter upon his return, don't expect him to pitch too deep into the game in his first start back, as he's scheduled to throw only two innings Tuesday and will likely be limited to three or four in his subsequent outing.

Smyly (shoulder) played catch Saturday, Andy Martinez of Marquee Sports Network reports.

Smyly was scratched from his start Wednesday against the Marlins due to shoulder fatigue but isn't expected to miss any more outings. Assuming his shoulder responds well, he should start Tuesday or Wednesday against the Phillies.

Corbin (back) will have his next turn through the rotation skipped, Jessica Camerato of MLB.com reports.

Corbin exited Tuesday's start against Atlanta due to back spasms but has resumed throwing and has felt better recently. However, he'll miss at least one turn through the rotation due to the injury. It's not yet clear whether the Nationals plan to place him on the injured list, but he'll be sidelined for the remainder of the year if he requires an IL stint.

Steele (back) will throw a bullpen session Saturday, Taylor McGregor of Marquee Sports Network reports.

Steele has been sidelined for nearly a month due to a back issue but has been throwing bullpen sessions for two weeks. Although it's encouraging that he's continued to throw off a mound recently, it's not yet clear whether the southpaw will be able to return to game action over the final week and a half of the regular season.
