Civale (5-0) picked up the win in Saturday's 9-2 victory over the Reds, allowing one run on five hits and two walks over seven innings while striking out five.

The right-hander tossed 67 of 107 pitches for strikes as he cruised to his fourth quality start of the season. Civale will take a 2.91 ERA and 33:14 K:BB through 46.1 innings into his next outing.

Matz (5-2) allowed three earned runs on eight hits while striking out four across five innings to earn the win over the Astros on Saturday.

Matz picked up his fifth win Saturday, tying him for the most wins in the American League. The bulk of his damage came from a two-run home run by Yordan Alvarez in the fourth inning. The 30-year-old has struggled with the long ball, holding a 1.46 HR/9, which is ninth-highest in all of baseball. However, he didn't walk anyone in a start for the first time this season. Matz carries a 4.86 ERA and 1.27 WHIP through 37 innings.

Bubic pitched 5.2 shutout innings, allowing one hit and three walks with two strikeouts during Saturday's 9-1 loss to the White Sox.

Starter Daniel Lynch couldn't make it through the first inning, so Bubic was eventually called upon to fulfill a long-relief assignment. He did so admirably in the longest of his three appearances this season. The 23-year-old worked as a starter in 2020, posting a 4.32 ERA and 1.48 WHIP across 50 innings. This year, he's at a 2.35 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and four strikeouts in 7.2 innings. If Lynch is removed from the rotation, Bubic could be a candidate for the fifth starter job.

Arihara allowed five runs on six hits and walked three while striking out three over 3.2 innings of work in Saturday's victory over the Mariners. He didn't factor into the decision.

The 28-year-old now holds a 6.59 ERA and 1.53 WHIP on the year. His spot in the Rangers' rotation may be in jeopardy.

Javier (3-1) allowed five earned runs on four hits and four walks while striking out eight across 5.1 innings Saturday, taking the loss to the Blue Jays.

Javier served up multiple home runs for the first time this season. His five runs allowed Saturday matched his previous season total through 25.2 innings. The 24-year-old has a 7.13 ERA in 10.1 innings over his last two outings versus a 0.87 ERA in 20.2 innings over his first four starts. In addition, his eight strikeouts Saturday were a season high for him. His high-strikeouts totals are consistent though, supporting a 11.03 K/9. Javier will look to get back on track Thursday against Texas.

Lynch (0-1) allowed eight runs on seven hits and walked one over two-thirds of an inning in Saturday's loss to the White Sox.

The highly-regarded prospect had a nightmarish second outing, as he was unable to escape the first inning. It was a tough draw in his second career start, facing a White Sox lineup that is notorious for destroying left-handed pitching. Lynch had flashes of impressive pitching in Cleveland on Monday, hinting he can be the dominant lefty that the Royals expect him to be. He now has a 18.56 ERA and 3.00 WHIP.

Lynn (3-1) managed to go five innings Saturday, allowing no runs on one hit and four walks while striking out six to earn the win over Kansas City.

The righty was sharp Saturday in what ended up being a stress-free outing. The 33-year-old threw 51 of his 90 pitches for strikes as he struggled with command at times, but manager Tony La Russa gave him a higher pitch count than his previous start given that was his first appearance since returning from the IL. Lynn now has a 1.52 ERA and 0.98 WHIP on the year.

Cobb was placed on the 10-day injured list Saturday with blister on his right middle finger. The move is retroactive to May 5.

The 33-year-old lined up to start Monday but will now be on the injured list until at least next weekend. It's unclear when the blister first surfaced, and Cobb pitched well during his last outing Tuesday with only two unearned runs given up across five frames. According to Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times, Jose Suarez could be in the mix to take the mound Monday after being scratched from his scheduled start at Triple-A on Saturday.

Kluber threw 5.2 innings Saturday against the Nationals, giving up two runs on six hits and three walks while striking out six. He did not factor into the decision.

Kluber allowed one run on a bases-loaded walk to Juan Soto in the third inning. He was pulled with two outs in the sixth after allowing the go-ahead run on an RBI single by Starlin Castro on his 101st pitch. The veteran was spared a loss when the Yankees tied the game in the bottom of the ninth and went on to win in extras. Kluber failed to finish the fifth inning in each of his first four starts of the year but has averaged 6.8 innings over his last three starts and now owns a 3.06 ERA on the season.

Cantillo was placed on the seven-day injured list with abdominal soreness Saturday.

Cantillo has been assigned to Double-A Akron to begin the minor-league season, but he hasn't yet made his 2021 debut. The severity of his injury isn't yet known.
