Boyd (2-4) was tagged with the loss Sunday against the Cubs after allowing five runs (four earned) on six hits and one walk while fanning eight across six innings.

Boyd didn't have his best stuff Sunday despite tossing 69 of his 92 pitches for strikes, but this might have been nothing more than a bump on the road for the 30-year-old left-hander -- this was the first time he allowed more than three runs in any start. He still owns a 2.45 ERA across 47.2 innings, though, and he will try to bounce back in his next start scheduled against the Royals on the road.

Montgomery allowed five runs on six hits and two walks while striking out four in three innings in Sunday's loss to the Orioles. He didn't factor into the decision.

Montgomery earned a win in his last start, but he had his worst outing of the season against Baltimore on Sunday. He was hit hard early by giving up four runs in the first inning. Montgomery has recorded a 4.75 ERA and 1.15 WHIP in 41.2 innings across his first eight starts of 2021. He could make his next start at home against the White Sox on Friday.

Cease didn't factor into the decision Sunday against the Royals after allowing one unearned run on three hits and three walks while fanning three across 5.2 innings.

Cease was just one out away from what would've been his third quality start over his last four appearances. The right-hander has failed to complete five innings in four of his eight starts this season, but that hasn't happened in any of his last four outings. Cease continues to show swing-and-miss stuff, living up to the reputation he had as a prospect in the Cubs organization. Cease owns a 2.41 ERA so far and his next start is scheduled for next week at the Yankees.

Singer didn't factor into the decision Sunday against the White Sox after allowing two runs on seven hits and two walks while fanning seven across 6.1 innings.

Singer was coming off two bad performances -- allowing seven runs across nine innings in that span -- but bounced back admirably here, limiting the damage to just two runs while posting his third quality start of the campaign. Singer will try to build off this performance when he takes the ball next week at home against the Tigers.

Bassitt yielded four runs on six hits and two walks over five innings in Sunday's win over the Twins. He struck out four and did not factor in the decision.

Most of the damage against Bassitt came on a Max Kepler three-run shot in the second inning. The 6-foot-5 right-hander gave up another run in the third but got through the fourth and fifth frames without too much of a threat. His season ERA jumped to 3.88 through 53.1 innings. Bassitt is lined up to face the Angels on the road next weekend.

Maeda is receiving treatment after he experienced minor groin tightness in Sunday's loss to the Athletics, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.

Maeda allowed five runs (three earned) on eight hits and a walk while striking out two in four innings prior to his departure Sunday. He didn't factor into the decision. Manager Rocco Baldelli described Maeda's injury as minor, so it appears likely that he'll be able to make his next start. Maeda tentatively lines up to make his next start on the road against Cleveland on Friday.

Gibson allowed two runs on four hits and two walks with three strikeouts over seven innings versus Houston on Saturday. He did not factor in the decision.

Gibson left with the game tied at 2-2, but reliever Joely Rodriguez gave up four runs in the eighth inning. The 33-year-old Gibson has been on quite a roll lately with eight straight quality starts, but he's earned the win in only three of them. The right-hander has a 2.32 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 44:17 K:BB across 54.1 innings. His next start is expected to be during next weekend's home series versus Houston.

McCullers allowed five hits and two walks with five strikeouts in six shutout innings versus Texas on Sunday. He did not factor in the decision.

The right-hander faced little trouble in another strong outing, but reliever Andre Scrubb (leg) allowed a two-run home run in the seventh that left McCullers with the no-decision. He's been effective all season with a 2.70 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 52:22 K:BB across 46.2 innings. The 27-year-old lines up to face Texas again on the road next week.

Gonzales (forearm) will throw off a mound Monday for the first time since landing on the injured list, Shannon Drayer of 710 ESPN Seattle reports.

The 29-year-old landed on the shelf with a mild forearm strain April 29 and has been throwing off flat ground, but Monday will be his first time throwing off a mound since suffering the injury. Gonzales was initially expected to face a short absence, but the left-hander likely will need some time to build his stamina back up after being limited for the past couple weeks.

McKenzie (1-2) allowed five runs on five hits and three walks with six strikeouts in 4.1 innings, taking the loss Saturday versus Seattle.

The right-hander allowed a solo home run to Mitch Haniger in the first inning and a three-run blast to Dylan Moore in the fourth. McKenzie hadn't pitched since May 6, as Cleveland's schedule allowed the team to skip him once through the rotation. He sports a 5.79 ERA with a 1.64 WHIP, 40:25 K:BB and seven homers allowed in 28 innings. His velocity is down to 91.3 mph from 92.8 mph last year, and that combined with a 19.7 percent walk rate and batters posting a 53.2 percent hard-hit rate against him has led to significant struggles in 2021.
