Watkins (2-0) picked up the win Monday, allowing one run on four hits and two walks over six innings in a 6-1 victory. He struck out seven.

It's the first quality start of the 28-year-old's young MLB career, but Watkins has been impressive ever since getting promoted at the beginning of July. Through four outings and 16.1 innings, he sports a 1.65 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 13:8 K:BB, and the O's have little to lose by locking him into a rotation spot for the rest of the season.

Greinke (9-3) allowed two runs on five hits and a walk over 5.1 innings Monday, striking out four and earning a win over Cleveland.

Greinke worked through three scoreless frames before serving up a solo shot to Franmil Reyes in the fourth. He was then charged with a second run after he was removed in the sixth. He earned his first win since June 22 and has given up three or fewer runs in each of his last six starts. He's now sporting a 3.58 ERA with an 89:24 K:BB through 120.2 innings. Greinke is lined up to face the Rangers at home this weekend.

Stripling picked up the loss after allowing six runs on four hits and two walks across 0.1 innings Monday against the Red Sox.

Stripling gave up two home runs in the first inning, including a grand slam, and he only recorded one out before his skipper mercifully removed him from the game. He's been hurt by the long ball of late, surrendering at least one home run in each of his last seven outings (10 in total). Stripling now owns a 5.04 ERA and 1.31 WHIP with a 78:25 K:BB across 75 frames in 2021.

Gibson (6-2) took the loss after allowing eight runs on 10 hits and two walks while striking out two across five innings Monday against Detroit.

Gibson made it through the first two innings of his outing unscathed, but he surrendered two runs in the third, four in the fifth and two in the sixth before being removed. He's been knocked around over his last two starts, giving up 13 runs across 11.1 innings. Despite this, he's posted a 2.86 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and a 90:33 K:BB across 107 frames in 2021.

Berrios (7-4) allowed five runs on four hits and a walk over six innings during a loss to the White Sox in Game 2 of Monday's doubleheader. He struck out eight and was handed the loss.

Berrios had allowed two runs through six innings on a pair of solo homers by Jose Abreu and Yoan Moncada. He then coughed up a three-run, walkoff shot to Gavin Sheets without recording an out in the seventh. After winning five consecutive decisions from May 2 through June 12, the 27-year-old righty is 0-2 over his last six outings with a 4.10 ERA and 41:12 K:BB during that span. Berrios will carry a 3.69 ERA into this weekend's projected start at home against the Angels.

Mize tossed four scoreless innings in a no-decision Monday against the Rangers. He allowed one hit and struck out two.

Mize was in a position to cruise to his sixth win of the season, as the Tigers put up 14 runs of support, but the young righty was pulled after tossing just 54 pitches through four innings. Mize hasn't gone past four innings in any of his last three starts, so it appears the club is being extra cautious with the 24-year-old's workload. He's currently at 99.1 innings this year, up from the 28.1 he logged in his MLB debut during the shortened 2020 campaign. Mize has been solid with a 3.44 ERA, but his fantasy value will be curbed unless he's allowed to work deeper into games. He lines up to face the Royals in his next scheduled start Saturday.

Lynn took a no-decision during Monday's loss to the Twins. He allowed one run on five hits and a walk while striking out four across seven innings.

Lynn technically would have pitched a complete game in the first half of Monday's twin bill but the score was tied 1-1 upon his exit, sending the game into extras. His only blemish of the day came from a solo home run off the bat of Nelson Cruz in the sixth inning. It was the fourth time this season that Lynn pitched at least seven innings. The right-hander, making his first start since signing a two-year, $38-million contract extension Saturday, has put together a strong 1.94 ERA and 1.02 WHIP this season. He lines up to take the mound again on the road Sunday at Milwaukee.

Urquidy (shoulder) began throwing off flat ground Monday, Jake Kaplan of The Athletic reports.

Urquidy had been shut down from throwing since hitting the injured list with right shoulder discomfort in late June. The length of his absence likely means he'll be brought along somewhat cautiously. The Astros have yet to announce when they expect him to begin a rehab assignment.

Manoah was placed on the 10-day injured list Monday with a right back bruise.

The young right-hander was slated to start Tuesday versus the Red Sox, but he recently suffered a back contusion and will require a stint on the injured list. Thomas Hatch and Anthony Kay are in the mix to fill Manoah's spot in the rotation. Manoah was still able to play catch Monday, so he may not be looking at a lengthy absence.

Bieber (shoulder) resumed playing catch Monday, Paul Hoynes of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Bieber has been sidelined since mid-June due to a right shoulder strain, and Monday's throwing session was the first time that he had resumed normal throwing since he landed on the injured list. A timetable for the right-hander's return to game action isn't yet clear, but it's encouraging to see him resume some activities shortly after the All-Star break.
