The Tigers transferred Mize (elbow) from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Tuesday.

Mize has been on the shelf since April 15 and didn't resume his throwing program until Monday, so he was already on track to spend more than the minimum 60 days on the IL. As a result, the transaction won't affect his timeline for a return. The right-hander is gradually expected to increase his long-toss distance off flat ground before potentially advancing to mound work at some point next week.

Gray (pectoral) wasn't placed on the 15-day injured list after working out earlier Tuesday, but it's unclear if he'll be ready to make his next turn through the rotation this weekend in Toronto, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.

Manager Rocco Baldelli previously said Gray would be evaluated prior to Tuesday's doubleheader with the Tigers before the Twins determine whether or not he'll require a stint on the IL. The lack of a transaction perhaps suggests that Gray has made some progress since exiting his most recent start Sunday with right pectoral soreness, but he's not necessarily out of the woods yet. Reliever Yennier Cano is currently with the Twins' taxi squad and would be the logical candidate to replace Gray on the roster if Gray is eventually deactivated.

Kennedy signed a minor-league contract with the Red Sox on May 25.

Boston assigned him to Double-A Portland, with whom he tossed three scoreless innings in his first appearance Thursday. Before signing with Boston, Kennedy had been pitching in the independent Atlantic League of Professional Baseball with the Long Island Ducks. The 27-year-old righty previously made his MLB debut with the Padres in 2018, but he hasn't resurfaced in the majors since making six starts for San Diego that season.

The Tigers recalled Wentz from Triple-A Toledo ahead of his scheduled start in the second game of the team's doubleheader with the Twins in Detroit.

Detroit is designating Wentz as its 27th man for the twin bill, so he's expected to be returned to Triple-A following Tuesday's games. The 24-year-old lefty will be looking for better results in his second MLB start, after he struggled mightily in his Tigers debut back on May 11. He lasted just 2.2 innings in a start against Oakland, giving up six earned runs on seven hits and two walks.

Baz (elbow) worked around one hit and one walk while striking out four over four scoreless innings in his third rehab start for Triple-A Durham on Monday.

Baz has now looked good in each of his three rehab starts, but the Rays have been ramping him up slowly as he works his way back from the arthroscopic right elbow procedure he underwent in late March. He built up to 56 pitches Monday, so the Rays may want to see him get stretched out to 70-to-80 pitches over one final rehab start before activating him from the 60-day injured list. Baz is first eligible to rejoin the Rays on June 6.

Bello allowed two runs on five hits and four walks while striking out six over five innings in Triple-A Worcester's win over Lehigh Valley on Sunday.

Bello, who was recently promoted from Double-A Portland, has won all three starts since joining the WooSox. The 23-year-old righty has allowed six runs on 14 hits and eight walks over 17 innings over his three outings.

Rasmussen (5-2) allowed five runs on five hits and three walks with three strikeouts in three innings, taking the loss Monday versus the Rangers.

The three walks were a season high, and Rasmussen also allowed two home runs for the first time in his 10 starts this year. It wasn't a sharp outing for the 26-year-old, but he's had few mistakes in 2022, so it's safe to assume this was just a bump in the road. He owns a 3.47 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 44:13 K:BB through 46.2 innings. He'll look to get back on track in a tough home matchup with the White Sox this weekend.

Wells (2-4) allowed just two hits and a walk with three strikeouts in six innings, earning the win Monday versus the Red Sox.

The Red Sox offense couldn't do much of anything against Wells, who threw 64 of his 88 pitches for strikes. The Orioles have been cautious with the right-hander in his first season as a starter in the majors -- he's only completed six innings in two of his 10 starts. Efficiency is the key for the 27-year-old, who sports a 3.71 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 28:7 K:BB across 43.2 innings overall. Wells' next start is expected to be at home versus the Guardians this weekend.

Hill (1-3) allowed six runs on seven hits and two walks with five strikeouts in four innings, taking the loss Monday versus the Orioles.

The Red Sox mustered just four hits and a walk as a team, giving Hill no support in a game where he wasn't his sharpest. The 42-year-old southpaw has completed five innings in just three of his nine starts this season, though Monday's was arguably one of his worst games. He's at a 4.85 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 29:11 K:BB across 39 innings this season. Hill's next start is projected for this weekend in Oakland, which gives him a favorable chance at a bounce-back effort.

Bundy yielded four runs on nine hits across six innings in Monday's loss to Detroit. He struck out three and did not factor in the decision.

Bundy served up a solo homer to Derek Hill in the third inning. He then allowed a pair of runs in the fourth followed by another in the fifth. The 6-foot-1 righty has now given up four or more runs in three of his last five outings, posting a brutal 7.40 ERA during that stretch. On the year, Bundy owns a 4.76 ERA with a 34:8 K:BB through eight starts. He's projected to take the mound in Toronto this weekend.
