Tigers' Tanner Kohlhepp: Pitching at Single-A level
High-A West Michigan reinstated Kohlhepp (elbow) from its 7-day injured list Saturday and assigned him to Single-A Lakeland.
Kohlhepp had already been on a rehab assignment in the Florida State League, but he looks set to stick around in Lakeland for the foreseeable future before perhaps climbing back up to West Michigan if his performance warrants a bump up the minor-league ladder. The right-hander underwent Tommy John surgery last April and didn't make his professional debut until June 22, when he began his assignment at Lakeland. Through seven appearances thus far, Kohlhepp has yet to allow a run and owns an 11:7 K:BB over 8.1 innings.

Tigers' Tanner Kohlhepp: Recovering from Tommy John
Kohlhepp (elbow) is 6-to-8 weeks into his recovery from Tommy John surgery, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.
The 23-year-old began the minor-league campaign on the injured list with right forearm soreness, and he then underwent Tommy John surgery in April. Kohlhepp, who was selected 135th over in the 2021 draft, will miss the rest of the season as well as the first half of 2023.

Tigers' Tanner Kohlhepp: Sidelined with forearm injury
Tigers vice president of player development Ryan Garko said Wednesday that Kohlhepp will open the season on the injured list with right forearm soreness, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.
Garko noted that Kohlhepp underwent an MRI that revealed no structural damage to his forearm, so the 22-year-old will avoid surgery and treat the injury through rest and rehab. The No. 135 overall pick in last summer's First-Year Player Draft, Kohlhepp has yet to make his professional debut.
