Kopech left Sunday's start against the Rangers with right knee discomfort, 670 The Score reports.

He recorded only two outs before exiting, and it's unclear how much more time he will miss. Reynaldo Lopez came in to relieve Kopech, and Davis Martin could be an option to come back up from Triple-A to replace Kopech in the rotation if necessary.

Eovaldi was placed on the 15-day injured list with lower back inflammation Sunday.

Eovaldi had been dealing with what was reportedly hip tightness since his last start Wednesday against the Angels, though the issue is evidently in his back, not his hip. Reports from Saturday indicated that the righty may only need his next start pushed back by a day or two, but he'll now have to miss at least two turns in the rotation. The transaction was backdated to Thursday, so he'll be eligible to return June 24, but it's not yet clear if a minimum-length stay is in play. Kutter Crawford was recalled to take Eovaldi's place on the roster and will start Sunday against Seattle.

Kopech exited Sunday's start against the Rangers with an apparent injury, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.

Kopech winced after throwing a pitch to Adolis Garcia in the first inning and exited after a discussion with team trainers. The exact nature and severity of his injury are not yet clear. Reynaldo Lopez replaced him out of the bullpen and could be a candidate to step into the rotation if Kopech is forced to miss an extended period.

Odorizzi (foot/ankle) will need a rehab assignment and isn't doing full-speed fielding yet, Danielle Lerner of the Houston Chronicle reports.

He is recovering from some strains and sprains to ligaments of his right foot/ankle and took part in fielding drills Sunday at 50-to-60 percent effort. Odorizzi seems to be tracking toward a return in late June or early July.

Crawford was recalled from Triple-A Worcester and will start Sunday's game against the Mariners, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.

He most recently gave up three earned runs while striking out four over 3.1 innings at Triple-A on June 5. Crawford hasn't gone more than four innings in any outing in the majors or minors this season, so this should essentially amount to a bullpen game for Boston.

Martin was optioned to Triple-A Charlotte on Sunday.

He has done a serviceable job filling in for injured starters, logging a 4.11 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 14 strikeouts in 15.1 innings across three starts. Perhaps most impressively, Martin has gone at least five innings in all three starts. He could be back up the next time Chicago needs a spot starter.

Rodriguez (ribs) is dealing with a personal issue, and the Tigers will provide an update in a couple days, Cody Stavenhagen of The Athletic reports.

All we know at this point is that Rodriguez will not be an option to start early next week. The last report was that Rodriguez would likely get another rehab start before joining the big-league rotation, but this personal issue could push back that timetable.

Gausman (5-5) took the loss against the Tigers on Saturday, allowing two runs (one earned) on six hits while striking out four and walking three over six innings.

Gausman pitched well enough to earn the win Saturday, picking up a quality start, but did not get enough run support from his offense and ended up with the loss. The righty allowed more than one walk in a game for just the second time this season. Gausman allowed just one earned run in the game and lowered his ERA to 2.67. The veteran has been dominant for the Jays this season despite recording as many wins as losses.

Montas (3-6) earned a six-inning win against the Guardians on Saturday, allowing five runs on eight hits while striking out two and walking one.

This was not a great performance for Montas, but thanks to an offensive outburst from Oakland in the seventh inning, he was able to pick up a win. The righty has pitched well this season, but he has been limited to just three wins largely due to lackluster run support. This was his first win since mid-April despite giving up more than two earned runs for just the second time since the start of May. Montas will take a 3.40 ERA into his next appearance.

Montgomery (2-1) earned the win over the Cubs on Saturday, pitching seven scoreless innings and allowing five hits while striking out five.

The Yankees offense had little trouble putting runs on the board against Cubs rookie Matt Swarmer, allowing Montgomery to cruise to a stress-free win. He didn't allow any extra-base hits in the contest and prevented any Chicago players from reaching third base. The southpaw has pitched well all season but began the campaign without a win through nine outings. However, he's now picked up a pair of victories over his past three starts, posting a 1.33 ERA, 0.79 WHIP and 14:2 K:BB over 20.1 innings during that span.
