Bundy (4-3) earned the win during Saturday's 11-1 victory over Arizona, allowing one run on four hits with seven strikeouts over a season-high eight innings.

Bundy was staked to an early nine-run lead and cruised to the easy win, posting a season-high 77 game score and seven strikeouts in the process. After beginning the year a perfect 3-0, Minnesota had lost each of the 29-year-old's subsequent seven turns with the righty logging a horrendous 8.51 ERA during the stretch. The successful outing was long overdue, and Bundy will look to keep things rolling next weekend at home against Colorado.

Verlander (8-3) allowed seven runs (four earned) on nine hits and no walks while striking out three over 3.2 innings, taking the loss Saturday versus the White Sox.

Errors have tarnished his line in each of the last two starts, but Verlander simply wasn't that effective Saturday in his shortest outing of the year. The White Sox rallied in the third and fourth innings to knock him from the contest. The veteran right-hander saw his ERA jump from 1.94 to 2.30 with a 0.89 WHIP and 81:15 K:BB across 82.1 innings in 13 starts this year. Considering how few his bad starts have been, we'll assume this was a minor speed bump in his season. Verlander is projected for a tough road start versus the Yankees next week.

Cueto (1-3) allowed two hits and two walks while striking out five over seven shutout innings, earning the win Saturday over the Astros.

Cueto's last outing was in a long-relief appearance, but he was back in the rotation as expected Saturday. He turned in his longest start of the season, and it was also one of his most dominant as he gave up almost nothing to the Astros. The 36-year-old had given up at least three runs in each of his last four outings before Saturday's gem. He's pitched to a 2.95 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 33:11 K:BB across 42.2 innings in seven games overall. He's lined up for a favorable home start versus the Orioles next week.

Taillon (8-1) gave up four hits, two walks and no runs over 5.2 innings to earn the win in a 4-0 shutout victory over the Blue Jays on Saturday. He struck out eight.

Taillon bounced back from two sub-par starts in a row against the Cubs and the Twins to blank the Blue Jays over 5.2 innings. The eight strikeouts were a season high, and Taillon now holds an impeccable 6.7 K/BB ratio on the year, thanks especially to limiting the base on balls. His win against the Blue Jays marks a continuation of what has been an impressive 2022 campaign thus far. Taillon's eight wins put him in a tie for the most in the majors. With the Yankees averaging a league-best 5.09 runs per game, Taillon should be in line for plenty more wins, especially if he can maintain an ERA under 3.00. Look for Taillon to start next week against the Astros, when he will go for win No. 9.

Manoah (8-2) gave up four earned runs on six hits and a walk while striking out five over 5.1 innings to take the loss in a 4-0 defeat to the Yankees on Saturday.

Manoah gave up four earned runs for the first time this season and was tagged for just his second loss. Despite being his worst start of the season, it came against the best offense in the league and did have some bright spots. Manoah kept Aaron Judge hitless and didn't surrender a home run. Considering the tough matchup, there isn't anything to suggest that Manoah won't continue to find success in 2022, especially against lesser lineups. Opponents are still hitting only .201 against him on the season. Manoah is slated for a more favorable matchup in Milwaukee next week.

Milone's contract was selected from Triple-A Tacoma ahead of Game 2 of Saturday's doubleheader against the Angels.

Milone has gone five-plus innings in each of his last five starts for Triple-A Tacoma, logging a 1.00 ERA, 0.81 WHIP and 22 strikeouts in 27 innings over that stretch. He is a candidate to work as the primary pitcher in the nightcap against the Angels, potentially following opener Penn Murfee, a righty.

Suarez was recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake to serve as the 27th man during Saturday's doubleheader against the Mariners, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Suarez will serve as the starting pitcher during the second game of Saturday's twin bill after spending a week and a half in the minors. The southpaw has made six appearances (five starts) for the Angels this year and has posted a 5.96 ERA and 1.85 WHIP in 22.2 innings.

Ryu (elbow) underwent successful Tommy John surgery Saturday, Mitch Bannon of SI.com reports.

Ryu was diagnosed with UCL damage to his left elbow last week, but the Blue Jays spent the last several days weighing several surgical options. Although the team's medical staff considered some revised procedures, the southpaw ultimately underwent the second Tommy John surgery of his career. The surgery will force Ryu to miss 12-to-18 months, meaning he won't be able to return until at least the second half of the 2023 season. It's not yet clear whether the 35-year-old will pitch for the Blue Jays again since he's entering the final season of his four-year, $80 million contract in 2023.

Odorizzi (leg) continues to throw bullpen sessions and is fielding at increased intensity, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Odorizzi has been throwing bullpens consistently since late May, though the last step in his recovery appears to be his ability to field the position at full speed. With his activity ramping up further, Odorizzi is nearing a rehab assignment, and he could be in line for a return in late June or early July.

Suarez will start the second game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Mariners, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
