Quantrill (5-5) allowed four runs on eight hits and a walk over six innings Monday, striking out three and earning a win over the White Sox.

Quantrill was given a 5-0 lead in the first inning, so he had plenty of room to work with. The White Sox got to him in the third with Yoan Moncada's three-run shot. Quantrill then allowed another run in the fourth inning. Despite the shaky outing, the 27-year-old earned his first victory since June 12. Quantrill now owns a 3.99 ERA on the year but a 5.46 ERA over his last five starts. He's lined up to face the Tigers at home this weekend.

Faedo (1-5) allowed four runs on four hits and four walks across 1.2 innings to take the loss in Game 2 of Monday's doubleheader against the Royals. He was optioned to Triple-A Toledo following the start.

Faedo was ineffective in the outing, needing a whopping 60 pitches to retire five batters, with only 29 of those in the strike zone. The righty left his last start July 4 in the fourth inning with hip soreness, and it's possible that was still bothering him somewhat, though the team didn't note anything new on the injury front. Faedo will now look to get back on track in the minors. Across 12 starts in the majors, the 26-year-old has registered a 5.53 ERA. He'll likely get another shot at some point with the Tigers dealing with several injuries in the rotation.

Lynn (1-2) allowed eight runs on nine hits and two walks over four innings Monday, striking out three and taking a loss against the Guardians.

Cleveland immediately jumped on Lynn, plating five runs in the first inning. He then turned in a few scoreless frames before coughing up three more runs in the fifth. The veteran righty has been tagged with 13 runs over his last two starts, ballooning his season ERA to 6.97 through 31 frames. Lynn has given up three or more runs in all but one of his six starts in 2022. He'll look for better results in Minnesota this weekend.

Lynch left Game 2 of Monday's doubleheader against the Tigers with an undisclosed injury, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports. He allowed two runs (one earned) on six hits and one walk while striking out three over four innings prior to exiting.

Lynch gave up a leadoff single to start the fifth inning, and the team trainer came out to check on him immediately after. He was then walked off the diamond. Lynch will be considered day-to-day until the nature of the injury is revealed.

Keller (5-9) allowed one run on three hits and a walk over seven innings in Game 1 of Monday's doubleheader. He struck out eight and earned a win over the Tigers.

Keller dominated through five shutout frames before Riley Greene scored on a wild pitch in the sixth. He's now 4-1 with an impressive 2.15 ERA over his last five starts. The 26-year-old righty lowered his season ERA to 4.15 with a 67:32 K:BB through 97.2 frames. Keller is lined up to take the mound in Toronto this weekend.

Tampa Bay manager Kevin Cash said that Chirinos (elbow) will begin a rehab assignment Saturday with the Rays' rookie-level Florida Complex League affiliate, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The upcoming appearance will mark Chirinos' first at any level since Aug. 16, 2020, as he's spent the better part of two years rehabbing from Tommy John surgery and another procedure to address a fracture of the same elbow. Chirinos had served as a starter for the Rays during the pandemic-shortened 2020 campaign, but he could be preparing for a multi-inning relief role with the big club while he's out on the rehab assignment.

Allard was recalled from Triple-A Round Rock on Monday, Levi Weaver of The Athletic reports.

Allard spent several days with the Rangers prior to being sent down Sunday, but he didn't make any appearances during his stint in the big leagues. He'll rejoin the major-league bullpen after Dane Dunning (ankle) was placed on the 15-day injured list Monday. Over seven relief appearances for the Rangers this year, Allard has posted a 5.06 ERA and 1.06 WHIP in 16 innings.

The Rangers placed Dunning on the 15-day injured list Monday with a right ankle impingement, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.

Left-hander Kolby Allard was summoned from Triple-A Round Rock to join the 26-man active roster as a replacement for Dunning, who presumably picked up the injury at some point during his start Sunday against the Twins. With 17 walks in 30.1 innings over his last six starts, Dunning had been struggling mightily with his control of late, so the time off due to what's believed to be a minor injury could give him the chance to workshop some mechanical tweaks. He won't be eligible for activation from the IL on July 26, meaning he'll miss at least two turns through the rotation even with the All-Star break coming next week.

Mariners manager Scott Servais confirmed that Kirby will be called up from Triple-A Tacoma following the All-Star break to rejoin the big-league rotation, Jen Mueller of Root Sports Northwest reports.

Rather than due to any dissatisfaction with Kirby's performance, the Mariners elected to demote the rookie right-hander over the weekend as a means of keeping his innings in check. According to Servais, Kirby is expected to make an abbreviated start Saturday for Tacoma before making his return to the majors. The Mariners estimate that the decision to demote Kirby at this point in the calendar will save about 10 innings off his season total for 2022. Between stops with the Mariners and Double-A Arkansas this season, Kirby has thus far covered 89 frames.

Bradish (shoulder) struck out five over three perfect innings Saturday in his first rehab start for Double-A Bowie.

He pumped in 28 of his 36 pitches for strikes and looked dominant while facing hitters for the first time since landing on the injured list, as the Orioles felt comfortable having him bypass throwing a live batting practice session before he reported to Bowie. Bradish is expected to make at least one rehab start this week for Bowie or Triple-A Norfolk before coming off the 15-day injured list and slotting back into the Baltimore rotation following the All-Star break.
