Hill (knee) hopes to start Tuesday's game against the Astros, Julian McWilliams of The Boston Globe reports.

Hill has been sidelined since early July due to a knee injury, but he made a rehab start at Double-A Portland on Thursday and allowed a run on four hits and no walks while striking out five in three innings. If the southpaw is cleared to return from the injured list to make Tuesday's start, he'll likely have his pitch count monitored since he tossed just 56 pitches during Thursday's rehab outing.

Odorizzi (finger) is scheduled to start Sunday against the Mariners, Danielle Lerner of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Odorizzi dealt with a blister during his previous start Monday against the A's, but he's apparently been cleared to make his next turn through the rotation. He surrendered six runs during that outing and has a 5.91 ERA and 17:3 K:BB across 21.1 innings through four starts in July.

Martin was recalled from Triple-A Charlotte on Friday.

Martin has made six appearances (three starts) for the White Sox this year, posting a 4.67 ERA and 1.33 WHIP in 27 innings. Although he's served exclusively as a starter in the minors this year, he should serve as a multi-inning option out of the big-league bullpen after Parker Markel was outrighted to Charlotte on Friday.

Bradish (shoulder) was reinstated from the 15-day injured list and will start Friday against the Reds.

Bradish landed on the injured list with right shoulder inflammation in late June but recently made three rehab appearances and posted a 1.42 ERA and 0.47 WHIP in 12.2 innings. The right-hander will rejoin the rotation now that he's back to full health. Over 10 major-league starts this year, he's recorded a 7.38 ERA and 1.77 WHIP in 46.1 innings.

Lynch (hand) struck out six over four innings and allowed one earned run on two hits and no walks in his rehab start Tuesday with Triple-A Omaha.

The southpaw tossed 54 pitches Tuesday, so he could require only one more rehab start this weekend to get fully stretched out before the Royals activate him from the 15-day injured list. Lynch was placed on the IL on July 17 due to a blister on his pitching hand.

McCullers (forearm) made a minor-league rehab start with Triple-A Sugar Land on Wednesday, covering three innings and striking out four while allowing two earned runs on three hits and one walk.

After making his first rehab start and 2022 debut with Double-A Corpus Christi on July 22, McCullers returned to the mound on four days' rest to pitch for the Astros' top affiliate. He built up to 52 pitches (30 strikes) in the outing and will likely need to complete at least two more rehab starts before the Astros are comfortable bringing him back from the 60-day injured list. Jake Odorizzi (finger) and Jose Urquidy would seemingly be most at risk of losing their spots in Houston's six-man rotation once McCullers is activated, and a trade to clear a spot for the 28-year-old wouldn't come as a surprise.

Bello will be available out of the bullpen behind opener Austin Davis during Friday's game against the Brewers, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports.

The rookie was initially listed as the starter for Friday's matchup, but the Red Sox will instead choose to utilize Davis as the opener, potentially leaving bulk reliever duties for Bello. Bello hasn't been very sharp to begin his major-league career, posting a 10.50 ERA and 2.50 WHIP in 12 innings over three starts.

Garcia is listed as the Tigers' starting pitcher for Friday's game in Toronto.

Making the 73rd MLB appearance of his career, Garcia will be getting his first look as a starter after recently moving into the rotation at Triple-A Toledo prior to his call-up Wednesday. While starting his last three outings for Toledo, Garcia didn't cover more than four innings any time out and turned in an unremarkable 6:6 K:BB, so he doesn't shape up as an appealing streaming option while he takes on a strong Toronto offense on the road.

Lyles (7-8) earned the win Thursday, allowing zero runs on three hits and four walks over 5.2 innings in a 3-0 win over the Rays. He struck out four.

Lyles walked a season-high four batters but was able to work around the traffic and record his first scoreless outing since April 20. Across 21 starts and 118.1 innings, the right-hander sports a 4.56 ERA with a 97:40 K:BB. Lyles next start is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday's contest against the Rangers.

Olson has given up 18 earned runs in his last 20.2 innings spanning five outings for Double-A Erie.

He's posted a 26:10 K:BB during that time, so Olson is still missing bats, but his walk rate has spiked and he's been much more hittable -- he's given up 28 hits in that span, including seven of the 10 homers he's allowed this season. This represents a surprising about-face from Olson's results earlier this season, as he struck out 90 batters (with just 15 walks) while putting up a 3.24 ERA over 58.1 innings in his first 13 appearances. In light of his recent struggles, a 2022 MLB debut can be all but ruled out, but Olson's upside means he's still worth keeping an eye on.
