Woo did not factor into the decision in Friday's 5-4 win over the Rockies, allowing three runs on 10 hits and one walk with four strikeouts over 5.1 innings.

Woo departed with a 3-2 lead after yielding a one-out single in the sixth inning, but the inherited runner came around to score in the frame. The 26-year-old battled despite yielding a season-high 10 hits, though he snapped a streak of three consecutive quality starts to open September. He'll carry a 3.92 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 167:36 K:BB across 167.2 innings this year into one final home matchup with the Angels next week.

Rocker did not factor into the decision in Friday's 7-1 win over the Blue Jays, allowing one run on three hits and two walks with two strikeouts over 4.1 innings.

Rocker opened with four scoreless frames before allowing a run in the fifth, throwing 48 of 76 pitches for strikes with only six whiffs. It's clear the Rangers are being cautious with the 26-year-old down the stretch, as he hasn't reached the 80-pitch mark in any of his three September outings. He'll carry a 4.47 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 134:59 K:BB across 143 innings this season into one final home matchup with the Mets next week.

Cease (11-6) took the loss against the Rangers on Friday, allowing four runs (one earned) on three hits and six walks with three strikeouts over 2.2 innings.

Cease allowed four runs in the second inning, three of which crossed home after a throw by Ernie Clement hit a baserunner. Bad luck aside, the 30-year-old Cease threw just 36 of 74 pitches for strikes and has now issued 11 walks over his last two outings while failing to pitch beyond the fifth frame in any of his past three starts. He owns a 2.40 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 239:78 K:BB across 169 innings this season and will try to finish what has been a stellar campaign strong in a road matchup with the Orioles next week.

Sandlin did not factor into the decision in Friday's 11-8 loss to the Tigers, allowing five runs on seven hits and one walk with four strikeouts over four innings.

Sandlin was spotted an early lead but was unable to record an out in a three-run fifth inning. The 25-year-old threw 48 of 74 pitches for strikes with nine whiffs in just his second start since the All-Star break. He owns a bloated 6.29 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 33:13 K:BB across 34.1 major-league innings this season and lines up to make one more start on the road against Kansas City next week.

Sears did not factor into the decision in Friday's 11-8 win over the White Sox, allowing six unearned runs on one hit and three walks while recording two outs in the first inning. He did not register a strikeout.

Sears lacked command but was a victim of poor defense, as the Tigers made two errors with two outs before he surrendered a bases-clearing double. In five games (three starts) with the Tigers, the 24-year-old owns a 5.19 ERA, 1.56 WHIP and 13:7 K:BB across 17.1 innings. With Jack Flaherty (forearm) potentially returning before the end of the season, it's unclear what Sears' role will be in his next appearance.

Cole (9-9) allowed two runs on four hits and struck out six without walking a batter over six innings to earn the win over the Diamondbacks on Friday.

Cole served up a two-run home run to Corbin Carroll in the second inning but was otherwise successful at limiting the damage. The long ball has been a problem for Cole lately -- he's allowed 10 homers over his last six starts, giving up a total of 18 runs across 34.2 innings in that span. For the season, he's at a 3.63 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 123:22 K:BB through 121.1 innings over 21 starts. Cole is lined up for one more regular-season start at home against the Rays next week, which also positions him to be on the hill if the Yankees end up playing in the wild-card round.

Cantillo (10-9) earned the win against the Athletics on Friday, allowing two hits and one walk while striking out five across six innings.

Daniel Espino served as Cleveland's opener Friday, though he gave up a three-run home run to Zack Gelof in the first inning. Cantillo was brought out for the second frame, and the 26-year-old southpaw proceeded to keep the Athletics off the board over the next six innings while limiting the A's to only three baserunners. He's tossed two consecutive scoreless outings, and overall Cantillo has a 3.74 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 167:79 K:BB across 154 innings this season. He figures to make his next appearance -- as a starter or otherwise -- next week against the Red Sox at Fenway Park in his final outing of the regular season.

Suarez (8-4) earned the win against the Rays on Friday, allowing one run on three hits and five walks while striking out five across 5.2 innings.

The five free passes were the most of Suarez's career, but the 31-year-old southpaw limited the damage to just one run during Friday's outing, falling one out short from the quality start. He's given up only two earned runs over his last three outings spanning 19.2 innings, which has him at a 3.27 ERA and 1.20 WHIP across 143.1 innings this season. Suarez is slated to face the Guardians at home next week in what figures to be his last start of the regular season.

Manager Aaron Boone said Friday that Weathers (forearm) likely won't return in time to pitch again in the regular season, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

Out since Aug. 23 with a forearm flexor strain, Weathers was initially expected to return from the injured list and work as a reliever during the final stretch of the regular season. However, it no longer seems like he'll have enough time to build up before the campaign ends Sept. 27. The 26-year-old southpaw may still have a chance to pitch in the postseason, though the Yankees will likely wait to see how he progresses over the next week or so before determining his playoff availability.

Blue Jays manager John Schneider said Friday that it "would be tough" for Bieber (shoulder) to return from the 15-day injured list before the end of the regular season, Hazel Mae of Sportsnet reports.

Bieber is scheduled to throw a side session Saturday, and the Blue Jays are hoping that the veteran right-hander can return if the team qualifies for the playoffs. Bieber continues to recover from right teres major inflammation that landed him on the 15-day injured list in late August.
