Montas underwent an MRI on Saturday that revealed no structural damage to his right shoulder, leaving the Yankees optimistic that he won't miss much time, Jon Heyman and Dan Martin of the New York Post report.

Montas was sent in for tests after he experienced discomfort in his right shoulder during his rough start against the Brewers this past Friday. While he was still a member of the Athletics in July, the right-hander missed two weeks due to inflammation in the shoulder, but he believes the discomfort he's experiencing this time around isn't as significant. Even so, Montas is uncertain to make his next start, which would likely come sometime between Thursday and Saturday against the Red Sox. If Montas isn't ready to pitch this week, Domingo German would likely rejoin the rotation in his stead.

Rasmussen (10-6) allowed four runs on six hits and one walk while striking out three batters over six innings to take the loss against Houston on Monday.

Rasmussen served up a game-opening homer to Jose Altuve in the first inning, but he limited Houston to that one run through five frames. However, the Astros tagged him for three runs in the sixth, which was more than enough to send him to defeat in a game during which the Rays were shut out. Rasmussen has given up eight earned runs in his last two starts, resulting in his first two-game losing streak of the campaign. He's pitched to a strong 2.92 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 117:29 K:BB over 132.2 innings overall on the campaign.

Garcia (13-8) earned the win over Tampa Bay on Monday, allowing two hits and four walks while striking out four batters over five innings.

Garcia tied a season high by issuing four free passes, but he surrendered only two hits to cancel out the lack of control. The right-hander completed five innings for the 15th straight outing and has thrown less than that only three times over 26 starts this season. Perhaps the only disappointment is that Garcia's wildness resulted in a moderately high pitch count that kept him from going six frames and notching a quality start, which has been a pattern for him of late -- he has only one quality start over his past five appearances. Nonetheless, he's 4-0 over that span while posting a 3.82 ERA and 30:13 K:BB across 33 innings.

Quantrill (13-5) allowed three runs on nine hits and a walk over 5.1 innings Monday, striking out two and earning a win over Minnesota.

It wasn't the most impressive outing from Quantrill but Cleveland's lineup provided more than enough support for him to win his ninth consecutive decision. He tossed three scoreless frames before the Twins scored two runs in the fourth inning. Since Quantrill's last loss July 5, he's registered a 3.24 ERA over 14 starts, lowering his season ERA to 3.56 in the process. He's expected to take the mound in Texas this weekend.

Suarez (6-8) allowed five runs on seven hits and a walk over five innings Monday, striking out four and taking a loss against Seattle.

After giving up an RBI double to Ty France in the first inning, Suarez kept things under control until Carlos Santana smoked a grand slam in the fifth. The 24-year-old southpaw had allowed three or fewer runs in eight straight outings prior to Monday's hiccup. His season ERA jumped to 4.11 alongside a 91:32 K:BB through 20 appearances. Suarez is expected to start in Minnesota this weekend.

Gilbert (13-6) allowed one run on four hits and a walk over six innings Monday, striking out 11 and earning a win over the Angels.

Gilbert was locked in Monday, setting new season bests in strikeouts (11) and whiffs (21). He worked through five shutout frames before giving up an RBI sacrifice fly to Taylor Ward in the sixth inning. Gilbert is 3-1 with a stellar 0.78 ERA and 34:5 K:BB over his last four starts. Through 172.2 innings this season, the 25-year-old is sporting a 3.13 ERA. Gilbert is lined up to start in Kansas City this weekend.

Reports on Glasnow (elbow) following Sunday's rehab start are "very good," Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Glasnow has made three starts during his rehab stint in Triple-A Durham and boasts a 2.08 ERA and 0.98 WHIP over 4.1 innings during that span. He hasn't seen major-league action since June 2021, but that could change soon depending on how he feels following his next start in Durham on Friday.

Gray left Monday's game against the Guardians after two innings due to right hamstring tightness, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports. He was charged with four earned runs on five hits and one walk while striking out before departing.

The veteran right-hander should be considered day-to-day until the Twins provide further updates. However, because Gray has already contended with this same injury earlier this season, it's fair to wonder whether he'll be ready to make his next scheduled start this weekend against the Angels.

Gray was removed after two innings in his start Monday against the Guardians with an apparent injury, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports. He was charged with four earned runs on five hits and one walk while striking out one.

Gray departed with the Twins trailing 4-0, so he'll be on the hook for the loss unless Minnesota mounts a comeback. The greater concern is what prompted Gray's early exit, though it's almost certainly injury-related, as Park notes that the right-hander's fastball velocity was down about 1.7 miles per hour from his season-long average. Ronny Henriquez was summoned from the bullpen to replace Gray and could be a candidate to pick up a spot start Saturday against the Angels if Gray isn't ready to go for his next turn through the rotation.

Cueto (illness) is listed as the White Sox's scheduled starting pitcher for Thursday's home game against the Guardians, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.

Cueto was unable to take the hill this past Saturday against the Tigers after experiencing bouts of dizziness while he dealt with an illness, but he looks like he'l be ready to go the next time his turn in the rotation comes up. The veteran right-hander owns a 3.43 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 6.9 K-BB% over 65.2 innings in his 10 starts since the All-Star break.
