The Yankees placed Rodon (elbow) on the 15-day injured list Wednesday.

Rodon had surgery last October to remove a bone spur from his left elbow and is still in the process of getting built back up. The southpaw should be close to starting up a rehab assignment, and the Yankees anticipate him being ready for his season debut before the end of April.

Kent will make the Twins' Opening Day roster in the bullpen barring any last-second trades, the Minnesota Star Tribune reports. He had a 3.52 ERA and 8:1 K:BB in 7.2 innings this spring.

Kent wasn't thought to be a candidate to win a job in the bullpen, but he turned heads this spring with a strong performance. He'll likely be one of the last options in the bullpen, but the relief corps is unsettled, especially for right-handed relievers, so there's an opportunity for Kent to work his way into high-leverage situations.

Paez will be included on the White Sox's Opening Day roster, Ari Alexander of 7 News Boston reports.

Paez joined the White Sox via the Rule 5 Draft, and although he posted a 6.35 ERA in the Cactus League and has never pitched an inning above High-A, he will break camp with the big club. The 22-year-old right-hander has worked primarily as a starter in the minors but will most likely take on a long-relief role with the South Siders. He will need to remain on the active roster all season or else be offered back to the Red Sox.

The Angels placed Manoah (finger) on the 15-day injured list Monday.

Manoah will be shelved to begin the season while he recovers from a right middle finger contusion. The 28-year-old logged a 9.39 ERA over 15.1 innings of Cactus League action, so he may be sent down to Triple-A Salt Lake once he's cleared to return.

The Angels placed Rodriguez on the 15-day injured list Monday due to right shoulder inflammation.

Manager Kurt Suzuki had previously been referring to Rodriguez's injury as being a bout with "dead arm," but the Angels are officially listing him with a shoulder issue. In any case, Suzuki has remained adamant that Rodriguez isn't contending with anything too serious, so the right-hander could be ready to return from the IL around when he's first eligible for activation. Ryan Johnson will fill the open spot in Los Angeles' rotation until Rodriguez is healthy.

Lucchesi signed a contract with the Angels on Tuesday, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.

Lucchesi was released by the Giants on Sunday after making three appearances in the Cactus League, during which he allowed one earned run across three innings. He had one of his best seasons last year with San Francisco, finishing with a 3.76 ERA and 1.23 WHIP across 38.1 frames, and he's expected to claim a spot in the Angels' bullpen to open the new campaign.

Lagrange tossed 2.2 innings in an exhibition start against the Cubs on Monday, allowing eight runs on nine hits and two walks while striking out four batters.

Lagrange has frequently turned heads this spring, and he won the 2026 James P. Dawson Award given to the most outstanding rookie in Yankees camp, per Bryan Hoch of MLB.com. However, Monday serves as a reminder that the flamethrowing hurler is still a 22-year-old who has yet to pitch above Double-A. The Cubs smoked four extra-base hits against Lagrange, including two home runs. Even with the ugly line, the right-hander will finish the spring slate with a 4.96 ERA and 1.29 WHIP while posting an impressive 17:6 K:BB over 16.1 innings. He'll open the season in the minors, but Lagrange certainly boosted his prospect status this spring.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone announced Tuesday that Gil will be optioned to the minor leagues to start the regular season, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

New York is beginning the season with a four-man rotation since a fifth starter isn't needed until April 11 in Tampa Bay, and Gil will stay stretched out in the minors rather than sticking in the majors as a bullpen piece. The right-hander missed the first four months of 2025 due to a lat strain but returned for 11 regular-season starts down the stretch, posting a 3.32 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 41:33 K:BB across 57 innings. Gil surrendered 10 earned runs (including six homers) with a 24:5 K:BB over 19.1 innings during spring training, so he'll begin the minor-league season with decent momentum despite the incoming demotion.

Winquest has made the Yankees' Opening Day roster, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.

The Rule 5 pick had an uneven Grapefruit League performance, finishing with a 6.48 ERA and 7:3 K:BB over 8.1 innings. However, the Yankees are intrigued enough with Winquest's upside to carry him on the Opening Day roster in a low-leverage role. In order for the Yankees to maintain Winquest's rights, the righty must remain on the major-league roster or injured list the entire season, with at least 90 days spent on the active roster and not the injured list.

Bastardo won't be on the Blue Jays' Opening Day roster, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.

It's not clear yet what the organization plans to do with the right-hander, who was a Rule 5 pick ahead of the 2025 season but spent all of last year on the IL while he completed his recovery from Tommy John surgery. Bastardo struggled to find the plate this spring, posting a 5:7 K:BB over 7.2 Grapefruit League innings.
