Sears allowed one run on two hits and five walks over 4.2 innings in Monday's loss to the Pirates. He struck out six and did not factor in the decision.

Sears tossed four shutout frames before the Pirates finally broke through in the fifth inning. His lack of command caused him to throw a career-high 112 pitches despite not finishing five innings. On the bright side, he's given up two or fewer earned runs in five straight starts, dropping his ERA to 4.20 through 64.1 frames. Sears is currently lined up to start in Milwaukee this weekend.

Bielak (3-2) allowed three runs on 10 hits and a walk over 6.2 innings Monday, striking out two and earning a win over the Blue Jays.

It wasn't a very clean outing for Bielak but he was given six runs of support before throwing his first pitch so he cruised to an easy win. He tied his longest outing of the year despite punching out just two batters. The 27-year-old righty is carrying a 3.35 ERA and a 30:13 K:BB through 37.2 frames. Bielak is currently lined up to start in Cleveland this weekend.

Manoah (1-7) allowed six runs on seven hits and a walk while taking a loss against Houston on Monday. He recorded just one out.

In what's been a year full of struggles, Manoah turned in his worst and shortest start of the season. He's fallen to 0-7 with a brutal 6.85 ERA over his last 10 starts while completing at least six innings just once during that stretch. The 25-year-old has produced a 48:42 K:BB and an outrageous 1.90 WHIP through 58 innings. Manoah is currently lined up for a home tilt with the Twins this weekend.

Wentz (1-6) yielded five runs on seven hits and five walks over 4.2 innings Monday, striking out four and taking a loss against the Phillies.

Wentz never settled into a groove Monday and was taken deep twice by Trea Turner. Over his last four starts, Wentz has allowed at least five runs three times while going 0-3. His ERA has ballooned up to 7.49 with a 44:22 K:BB through 51.2 frames. Assuming he gets another turn in the rotation, he's currently lined up to see the Diamondbacks at home.

Bello (3-4) took the loss Monday, allowing three runs on six hits and a walk over six innings against the Rays. He struck out five.

Bello notched his third quality start of the season, though he ultimately took a third consecutive loss against Tampa Bay. The 24-year-old Bello had quietly put together a solid run of starts, despite the losing streak -- he hadn't allowed more than two earned runs in his previous six outings, pitching to a 2.53 ERA in that span. He now sports a 3.97 ERA with a 1.43 WHIP and 46:15 K:BB through nine starts (45.1 innings) this season.

McClanahan (9-1) earned the win Monday, allowing a run on five hits and two walks over six innings against the Red Sox. He struck out five.

McLanahan has only allowed more than two runs once in 13 starts this season. The lone blemish on his line Monday came on Justin Turner's solo home run in the sixth inning. McLanahan now boasts a pristine 2.02 ERA with a 1.15 WHIP and 87:29 K:BB over 75.2 innings this season. He'll look for a 10th win in his next outing, tentatively lined up for this weekend against a powerful Rangers offense.

Acker (undisclosed) was reinstated from High-A Hickory's 7-day injured list May 24 and has covered five innings while striking out seven and allowing two earned runs on four hits and three walks over his first two starts of the 2023 season.

Acker missed about seven weeks of action to begin the 2023 campaign due to an unspecified injury, but he's active at Hickory again and appears to be gradually ramping up his pitch count. The 24-year-old right-hander struggled in his first taste of High-A ball in 2022, logging a 10.66 ERA and 2.13 WHIP in 12.2 innings over four starts.

DeGrom (elbow) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Monday.

DeGrom has been throwing off a mound for a couple weeks now as he works his way back from right elbow inflammation. While it does not seem as though he's had a setback, he now won't be eligible for activation until June 28. Moving deGrom to the 60-day IL frees up a spot for Spencer Howard, who is making his return from the IL.

Faedo will consult with a finger specialist in Philadelphia on Tuesday, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

Both Faedo and Eduardo Rodriguez are visiting the specialist as they recover from their respective finger injuries. In Faedo's case, he landed on the injured list over the weekend with discomfort around his right middle fingernail. There's no timetable for his return.

Rodriguez will visit a finger specialist in Philadelphia on Tuesday, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

Rodriguez is dealing with a ruptured A4 pulley in his left index finger. The initial expectation is that he'll likely be sidelined 6-to-8 weeks with the injury, but it would appear he's receiving another opinion before determining the best course of action.
