Dunning (shoulder) played catch from 90 feet Monday, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Dunning landed on the 15-day injured list last week with a right rotator cuff strain, but he said after Monday's throwing session that his pitching arm is feeling stronger. His stint on the IL isn't expected to be a long one, but he'll need to go through a full throwing progression before being activated.

Orioles manager Brandon Hyde said Monday that it's "possible" that Rodriguez (shoulder) will return from the 15-day injured list to make a start this weekend against the Mariners, Matt Weyrich of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Rodriguez got through a 30-pitch bullpen session Sunday with no issues and felt fine the day after. The right-hander will throw another bullpen session in the coming days, but his next step beyond that hasn't yet been determined. Rodriguez has been out since the beginning of May with right shoulder inflammation.

Athletics manager Mark Kotsay revealed that Wood was bothered by a shoulder injury during his start in Sunday's 8-4 loss to the Mariners, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports. "Alex has been grinding," Kotsay said. "He hasn't felt great. He's been able to make every start. But you saw a little drop in velo and his slider wasn't as sharp. He gave us everything he had for two innings."

Wood gave up five runs (one earned) on four hits and one walk while striking out one batter across 60 pitches before he was pulled from the contest, with Kyle Muller coming on in long relief behind him and covering the ensuing four innings. As Kotsay noted, Wood's velocity was well down Sunday compared to his season-long average of 90.5 miles per hour, as his sinker averaged just 88.6 mph on the afternoon. Kotsay suggested that Wood would be sent in for further evaluation before a decision is made on whether the lefty will be able to make his next start, which would fall next weekend in Kansas City.

The Athletics placed Blackburn on the 15-day injured list Monday with a stress reaction of the fifth metatarsal of his right foot.

He'll be in a walking boot for at least two weeks, per Martin Gallegos of MLB.com, so Blackburn is set tio require more than a minimum-length stay on the IL. Blackburn had been in line to start Thursday in Houston but will now need to be replaced in the rotation, with recent Triple-A Las Vegas call-up Joey Estes making sense as an alternative.

Leiter will be recalled from Triple-A Round Rock to start Tuesday against the Guardians.

Leiter hasn't fared well in either of his first two major-league starts, allowing a total of 11 earned runs with a 6:3 K:BB over 7.2 innings in matchups with the Tigers and Athletics. However, with Nathan Eovaldi (groin), Dane Dunning (shoulder) and Max Scherzer (back) still on the mend, the Rangers will give the rookie right-hander another chance to prove he belongs in the big-league rotation. Eovaldi seems to have a shot to return from the 15-day injured list later this week, so Leiter could be sent back down again after Tuesday's outing.

The Mariners list Woo (forearm) as their probable starter for Wednesday's game against the Royals in Seattle.

Woo missed the first six weeks of the regular season with right elbow inflammation before returning from the 15-day injured list Friday after a trio of successful rehab starts. The right-hander was cruising through his first start of the season with the Mariners in Friday's 8-1 win over the Athletics, but he was lifted after 4.1 scoreless innings and 62 pitches upon experiencing forearm tightness. Though the fact that Woo is dealing with an injury that's seemingly related to the one that kept him on the shelf earlier this season isn't ideal, manager Scott Servais downplayed concern about the forearm issue after the game. The Mariners are still seemingly anticipating that Woo will be ready to go for his next turn through the rotation Wednesday, though fantasy managers will still want to keep tabs on his status leading up to the day of the game just to ensure the team hasn't scratched him from the start.

Urquidy (forearm) struck out three and allowed three runs on three hits and one walk over 2.2 innings in his first rehab start with Triple-A Sugar Land on Sunday.

Urquidy served up a home run and recorded just eight outs in his first appearance of the season at any level after he was placed on the 15-day injured list March 28 with a right forearm strain. His four-seam fastball averaged 91.6 miles per hour, which was down 1.5 mph from last season. The right-hander had been targeting 60 to 65 pitches but wound up throwing only 48, so he'll certainly need at least one or two more rehab starts before returning from the 15-day injured list.

Gil (4-1) allowed three hits and two walks over six shutout innings Sunday, striking out three and earning a win over the Rays.

Gil never found himself in much trouble Sunday as he cruised to a scoreless quality start. He's gone 3-0 while giving up one run over 18.1 frames in his last three outings, dropping his season ERA to 2.51. Prior to these three straight quality starts, Gil hadn't completed six innings in any of his first five appearances. His next start is projected to be a strong home matchup against the White Sox.

Alexander (1-2) yielded six runs on seven hits and two walks over seven innings Sunday, striking out three and taking a loss against the Yankees.

Alexander was taken deep three times Sunday, including a pair of two-run shots from Jose Trevino and Aaron Judge. Alexander had given up just two home runs over his previous five appearances before Sunday. Despite the poor final line, it was his longest outing of the year. He owns a 5.45 ERA with a 33:12 K:BB through 39.2 frames. Alexander's next start is lined up to be in Toronto.

Castillo (4-5) picked up the win over the Athletics on Sunday, allowing two runs on seven hits and no walks while striking out eight over six innings.

Both runs allowed by Castillo came via the long ball, with Max Schuemann and Abraham Toro taking him deep in consecutive innings. Aside from that, Castillo limited the damage to just base hits and tossed his sixth straight quality start, which now puts him in a tie for fifth-most in baseball. Castillo now owns a 3.31 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 64:11 K:BB in 54.1 innings and lines up to face the Orioles on the road next weekend.
