Civale (2-4) took the loss Sunday against the Blue Jays, allowing five runs (four earned) on six hits and four walks over 5.1 innings. He struck out three.

Civale allowed five or more runs for the fourth time this season and yielded a solo home run to Daniel Vogelbach in the second inning. During his last six starts, Civale is 0-3 with an 8.48 ERA and a 26:12 K:BB across 32.2 innings. He's tentatively scheduled for a start during a three-game home series against the Royals next weekend.

Flexen (2-4) suffered the loss Sunday against the Yankees, allowing seven runs on eight hits and one walk over four innings. He struck out four.

Flexen worked around an Anthony Volpe leadoff double in the first but struggled thereafter with a two-run blast by Aaron Judge with no one out in the fifth serving as the final blow. All told, Flexen allowed seven runs through four-plus innings, with much of the damage coming from the bottom of the Yankees lineup, including a two-run single by the eight-hole hitter, Jose Trevino, in the second and a three-run homer by Jon Berti, batting out of the nine hole, in the fourth. Flexen saw his ERA rise from 4.46 to 5.48 with the poor performance. He'll look to rebound in his next start, tentatively scheduled to take place at home when the Orioles come to town for a weekend set.

Manoah (1-1) picked up the win Sunday against Tampa Bay, allowing one hit and one walk with seven strikeouts across seven scoreless innings.

After surrendering six runs in his 2024 debut, Manoah has fired back-to-back seven-inning starts without an earned run. Over those two starts, Manoah has punched out 13 batters and yielded five hits and a pair of walks. He'll look to keep rolling in next start, which tentatively lines up for Friday at Detroit.

Rodon (5-2) earned the win Sunday against the White Sox, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out six.

Rodon allowed a homer and a triple in the second inning, leading to two runs, but didn't allow another runner to cross the plate through six quality frames against his former club. According to Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News, Yankees manager Aaron Boone confessed after the game that Rodon was battling a cold all week, and the skipper considered pulling him after five but was impressed with the way he battled back after the shaky second frame. It was the third consecutive quality start and win for Rodon, who will carry a 3.27 ERA into his next start, tentatively slated to take place in San Diego when the Yankees travel to take on the Padres during a three-game weekend set.

Kirby (4-4) suffered the loss Sunday against the Orioles, allowing five runs on nine hits over six innings. He struck out three.

Kirby was tagged for a solo homer by Gunnar Henderson to lead off the game and eventually allowed five runs and two homers through three innings before settling down and making it through six frames with no additional damage. It was the first time in seven starts Kirby has allowed more than five hits, while the five earned runs lifted Kirby's ERA to 3.99 over 56.1 innings and 5.19 over 26 innings on the road. Kirby's next start is also slated to take place on the road, though in a much friendlier matchup, as he's tentatively lined up to take on the Nationals in Washington next weekend.

Lorenzen (2-3) allowed two runs on three hits and three walks while striking out six over 6.1 innings to take the loss Sunday versus the Angels.

Lorenzen kept the Angels off the board for six innings but left two runners on base that Jonathan Hernandez ultimately allowed to score in the seventh. That was enough to stick Lorenzen with his third loss in five outings despite earning his third quality start in that span. The right-hander is at a decent 3.61 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 33:21 K:BB over 42.1 innings through seven starts this season, but he hasn't been getting much in the way of run support lately -- the Rangers have scored more than four runs in just one of his appearances. Lorenzen is projected to make his next start at Minnesota.

Soriano (2-4) allowed one run on five hits and two walks while striking out five over 7.2 innings to earn the win Sunday over the Rangers.

Soriano gave up a solo home run to Corey Seager in the fourth inning, but that was it. The Angels rallied ahead in the seventh to help Soriano earn his second win in 10 appearances (eight starts) this year. The right-hander has given up just five runs over 23.2 innings across his four appearances in May while posting a 20:8 K:BB in that span. For the year, he's at a 3.30 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 43:22 K:BB through 46.1 innings. The walk rate remains a concern, but Soriano is showing improvement in that regard. He's projected to make his next start at home versus the Guardians.

Burnes (4-2) earned the win Sunday against the Mariners, allowing one run on seven hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out 11.

Unlike his previous four outings where the Orioles scored a total of four runs, Burnes received five runs of support through the first three innings, allowing him to cruise to the victory. The increase in strikeouts was also a good sign for Burnes, who had tallied no more than six in his previous eight starts since accumulating 11 on Opening Day. Burnes will carry a 2.56 ERA and 1.04 WHIP into his next start, when he's slated to toe the rubber in a highly favorable matchup on the road against the White Sox.

Arrighetti (2-4) allowed four runs on seven hits and two walks over 6.1 innings Sunday, striking out six and earning a win over Milwaukee.

Arrighetti gave up a run in the first inning and didn't allow another until the Brewers plated three runs in the seventh. It was the longest outing of his MLB career and his first time finishing at least six frames. Arrighetti has now won two straight starts after beginning his MLB career 0-4. He'll carry a 7.16 ERA and a 36:17 K:BB into his next outing, which is lined up to be in Oakland next weekend.

Sears (3-3) yielded four runs on five hits and two walks over 4.1 innings Sunday, striking out four and taking a loss against the Royals.

Sears stumbled out of the gate by allowing two runs in the first inning but kept the Royals quiet until coughing up two more runs in the fifth. He's failed to complete at least six innings in three straight outings, posting a 5.40 ERA during that span. His ERA has climbed back up to 4.31 with a 39:16 K:BB through 54.1 innings. Sears has allowed at least four runs in five of his 10 starts this year but given up just two total runs in his other five appearances. His next outing is expected to be at home against the Astros next weekend.
