Castillo (5-7) took the loss to the Royals on Saturday, allowing five runs on six hits and one walk while striking out four over five innings.

Castillo had a tough outing as he gave up a season-high five runs in his seventh loss of the season. His offense gave him the lead two separate times Saturday, but he gave it back each time as he snapped a streak of 10 straight starts allowing two earned runs or fewer. Castillo remains one of the more consistent and durable starters in baseball; he's gone at least five innings in all of his 14 starts and will take a 3.35 ERA into his next outing.

Gray (groin) was activated off the 15-day injured list ahead of Saturday's game against the Giants, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Gray landed on the injured list May 23 due to a right groin strain. He started in 10 games prior to the injury, going 2-2 with a 2.21 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 56:17 K:BB over 57 frames. Manager Bruce Bochy said Saturday that there is a good chance Gray pitches in relief before his next start, which will likely be during the Rangers' upcoming road series against the Dodgers, per Kennedi Landry of MLB.com.

Poteet came away with a no-decision in Friday's 2-1 extra-innings loss to the Dodgers, allowing two hits and three walks over 4.2 scoreless innings. He struck out one.

The 29-year-old right-hander kept a dangerous offense off the board, but he needed 84 pitches (50 strikes) to record only 14 outs, and the Yankees' bullpen eventually faltered in the 11th inning. Poteet has a 1.72 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 11:4 K:BB through 15.2 innings over his three big-league starts this season, but with Gerrit Cole (elbow) set to make his second rehab start Sunday, Poteet's time in the New York rotation is running short. He should make at least one more start, which lines up to come on the road next week in Kansas City.

Civale (2-5) took the loss Friday, giving up four runs on seven hits and a walk over five innings as the Rays fell 6-3 to the Orioles. He struck out eight.

The right-hander got taken deep by Anthony Santander in the second inning and Ryan Mountcastle in the fifth, just the second time this season Civale has served up multiple homers. The eight strikeouts did tie his season high, helping to salvage some fantasy value, but he's gone 10 straight starts without recording a win, going 0-4 over that stretch with a 6.66 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 50:15 K:BB through 50 innings. Civale will try to get back in the win column in his next outing, which is scheduled to come at home next week against the Cubs.

Irvin (6-2) picked up the win Friday in a 6-3 victory over the Rays, giving up three runs (two earned) on eight hits over 5.2 innings. He struck out six without walking a battter.

Three straight singles in the sixth inning kept Irvin from recording his fifth quality start of the season, but the southpaw did tie his season high in strikeouts. He hasn't allowed more than three earned runs in any of his last 10 appearances (eight starts) dating back to April 15, posting a 1.88 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 36:7 K:BB through 52.2 innings over that stretch. Irvin will look to continue his breakout campaign in his next outing, which lines up to come at home next week against Atlanta.

Ryan (4-5) was stuck with the loss Friday against the Pirates, allowing two runs on two hits and two walks over seven innings. He struck out eight.

Ryan was excellent Friday, but the Twins couldn't muster any offense against Mitch Keller in an eventual 3-0 defeat. Despite the loss, it was a strong bounce-back effort from Ryan after he allowed five runs in five innings in a loss to Houston in his last outing. The right-hander sports a 3.30 ERA with a 0.97 WHIP and 85:13 K:BB across 79 innings. Ryan's currently in line for a home matchup with the Rockies in his next start.

Springs (elbow) threw one inning in a Florida Complex League game Friday, MLB.com reports.

Springs returned to the mound for the first since feeling tightness in his shoulder May 25. He labored through a 24-pitch frame, but most importantly felt healthy after the outing. The Rays intend for Springs to throw two innings with Triple-A Durham on Wednesday, as he tracks toward a potential return in early July.

McCullers (forearm) threw 25 pitches off the bullpen mound Thursday, MLB.com reports.

McCullers has been ramping up his activity since mid-April, and he managed to throw both sinkers and changeups in addition to his fastball Thursday. He's behind teammate Luis Garcia (elbow) in his recovery, but McCullers could be activated from the injured list at some point in August.

Lynch did not factor into the decision in Friday's victory over Seattle, allowing eight runs on six hits and four walks over four innings. He struck out four.

Lynch stumbled out the gate immediately as he yielded seven runs in the first inning, capped by a titanic 421-foot, two-run homer by Ryan Bliss. The Kansas City southpaw entered the contest with a sterling 1.50 ERA, which ballooned to 5.63 after the performance. Lynch's next outing doesn't look any easier as he's tentatively slated to face the vaunted Yankees lineup at home.

Miller did not factor into the decision in Friday's 10-9 loss to Kansas City, allowing seven runs on six hits and three walks over five innings. He struck out one.

Miller posted his worst start of the season, allowing nine baserunners and seven runs, each marking season worsts. The Seattle right-hander was cruising through three scoreless innings before allowing four runs in the fourth, rounded out by a three-run blast from MJ Melendez. The outing pushed Miller's WHIP up to 1.02 to go with a 3.81 ERA over 75.2 innings. The 25-year-old will look to bounce back in his next scheduled start against the White Sox at home.
