The Phillies recalled Johnson from Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Sunday.

Johnson opened the season as a member of Lehigh Valley's rotation but transitioned into a bullpen role in late April. He's had mixed results as a reliever, striking out 20 batters over 14.2 innings but also issuing 10 walks and posting a 5.52 ERA and 1.84 WHIP. Johnson is likely to be deployed in lower-leverage spots while he's up with the Phillies.

The Blue Jays reinstated Swanson (forearm) from the 60-day injured list Sunday.

The right-hander has been sidelined for the first couple months of the season due to carpal tunnel syndrome in his right forearm, but he's ready to rejoin the Blue Jays after a six-outing rehab assignment with Triple-A Buffalo. Swanson had a 5.03 ERA across 45 appearances last season, but he recorded four saves and 29 holds with a 2.97 ERA during the regular season in 2023 and could return to a high-leverage role if he can regain that form.

Graceffo could be used in a multi-inning relief role at Triple-A Memphis, Daniel Guerrero of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

All four of Graceffo's appearances this season at Memphis have been as a starting pitcher, but all nine outings in the majors have come in relief. While the team hasn't committed to a permanent move to the bullpen for Graceffo, it's the role it seems like he'll work in for now. The 25-year-old has posted a 7.47 ERA and 13:4 K:BB over 15.2 frames with the big club this season.

Matsui allowed two runs on four hits without retiring a batter in Saturday's loss to Pittsburgh.

Matsui entered with one out in the seventh inning with San Diego down 3-0. The southpaw gave up four straight hits -- three singles and one double -- to allow the Pirates to plate two runs before he was given the hook. It was an uncharacteristically poor performance by Matsui, who entered Saturday with a solid 2.74 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 10.2 K/9 through 23 appearances. He hasn't been on the fantasy radar, though, since he isn't being used in high-leverage situations often. Matsui has just two holds and no save chances on the season.

The Red Sox placed Slaten on the 15-day injured list Sunday due to right shoulder inflammation.

According to Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com, Slaten experienced some fatigue after his most recent appearance in Milwaukee on Wednesday, when he took the loss and a blown save after giving up two unearned runs in one-third of an inning. The right-hander will be eligible to be reinstated June 13, and he could be ready to rejoin the Red Sox at that point since his injury doesn't appear to be overly serious.

The Red Sox recalled Guerrero from Triple-A Worcester on Sunday.

He'll be joining the bullpen as a replacement for right-hander Justin Slaten (shoulder), who was placed on the 15-day injured list in a corresponding move. Guerrero had two stints with the big club earlier this season, making four relief appearances while logging a 1.69 ERA and 1.13 WHIP over 5.1 innings. Expect the Red Sox to use him primarily in lower-leverage spots.

Rodriguez threw a scoreless inning and allowed one hit in Saturday's 1-0 loss to the Marlins.

Rodriguez made quick work of the Marlins in the eighth inning, throwing three of his five pitches for strikes and surrendering just a single. The 25-year-old right-hander hasn't been charged with a run since April 29 and leads all Giants pitchers with a 0.70 ERA, to go along with a 0.66 WHIP and 36:3 K:BB across 25.2 innings in 24 appearances.

Atlanta optioned Dodd to Triple-A Gwinnett on Sunday.

He will head back to Triple-A to clear room on the 26-man roster for Bryce Elder, who was recalled from Gwinnett in advance of his start Sunday. Dodd has been recalled from Gwinnett on three occasions over the past two weeks but hadn't stuck around long, making two relief appearances and tossing 1.2 scoreless innings between them.

Brieske (1-2) allowed one run on two hits across an inning of relief to take the loss Saturday against the Royals,

Detroit starter Tarik Skubal logged seven scoreless innings but the Tigers were blanked on the day, which left Brieske with the loss when he allowed a run in the eighth. After compiling a 3.59 ERA and 69 strikeouts across 67.2 regular-season innings last year, the righty has been less effective in 2025 when healthy with a 4.95 ERA and 14 strikeouts across 20 innings. Brieske's 95.8 mph average fastball velocity is the same as 2024 however, so his stuff isn't noticeably different despite the dip in strikeout rate. Expect the 27-year-old to continue getting opportunities to rediscover his prior form.

Nelson allowed two hits and struck out one over four relief innings in Saturday's 11-7 loss to Washington.

The right-hander helped bail out the bullpen after starter Brandon Pfaadt was removed without recording an out. Nelson, who has been filling in for injured starter Eduardo Rodriguez (shoulder), said he learned Friday that he would return to the bullpen, Alex Weiner of Arizona Sports reports. He was lined up to start Tuesday but now appears to have higher-leverage opportunities on the horizon, per Weiner.
