The Nationals released Williams on Sunday.

Williams was removed from the Nationals' 40-man roster last week, and he's now officially a free agent after clearing waivers. The veteran righty holds a 2.65 ERA and 22:6 K:BB over 17 innings, though he had been tagged for five runs across his last three appearances. Williams will now look to latch on with a new organization.

Garcia (shoulder) is set to begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Round Rock, MLB.com reports.

Garcia recently came out of a live session feeling well and is ready for the next step. The report didn't specify a date for when the assignment will begin, but it did indicate the Rangers want to see him throw multiple innings and pitch on back-to-back days.

Baumler (intercostal) will begin a rehab assignment for Triple-A Round Rock this week, MLB.com reports.

Baumler has been given the green light to head to Round Rock after he recently resumed facing live hitters at the Rangers' spring facility in Arizona. The Rangers want to see Baumler make appearances on consecutive days and throw multiple innings during his time in the minors before bringing him back from the 60-day injured list. The rookie Rule 5 Draft pick has been on the shelf since April 5 due to a right intercostal strain.

Miller blew the save Sunday against the Rays, allowing two runs on two hits while striking out two over one inning.

Miller entered the ninth with a two-run lead but surrendered a leadoff single to Junior Caminero before Jonny DeLuca tagged him for a game-tying two-run homer with two outs. It marked Miller's second blown save in 34 opportunities and just the second time all season he's allowed multiple runs in an appearance. Despite the rare setback, Miller continues to enjoy a stellar campaign, sporting a 1.26 ERA, 0.84 WHIP and an elite 16.3 K/9, while his 32 saves rank second in the NL.

Latz struck out one in a perfect ninth inning Sunday against the Brewers to secure his 27th save of the season.

Latz was summoned with a three-run lead and retired Milwaukee in order on 12 pitches (seven strikes). The left-hander has now recorded a save in six of his last seven appearances while tossing nine scoreless innings during that stretch. Latz is enjoying a career year for Texas, sporting a 1.65 ERA, 0.75 WHIP and 66:15 K:BB across 60 innings.

Urquidy did not factor into the decision Sunday against the Twins, allowing one run on three hits while striking out one over five innings of relief.

Urquidy inherited a 4-0 deficit in the fourth inning after Jordan Hicks and Tyler Gilbert handled the first three frames. He went on to finish out the contest while Luke Keaschall tagged him for his only run on a solo homer in the seventh. Across one start and three relief appearances since being recalled Aug. 14, Urquidy has allowed nine runs over 17.2 innings with a 14:4 K:BB. With Davis Martin back in the rotation, Chicago no longer requires both Urquidy and Erick Fedde in the mix, leaving Urquidy's role somewhat uncertain moving forward.

Pagan picked up the save Sunday against the Cubs. He allowed one run on a hit and no walks with no strikeouts over one inning.

Entering with a three-run cushion, Pagan served up a solo homer to Pete Crow-Armstrong but was able to close things out in the ninth inning for his 19th save of the campaign. The veteran hurler has converted all 13 of his save opportunities since July 1, when he returned from an almost two-month absence due to a left hamstring strain. Overall, Pagan owns a 4.05 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 34:9 K:BB across 33.1 innings in 2026.

Kerkering picked up the save Sunday against the Angels. He allowed one run on two hits and no walks while striking out one over 1.1 innings.

Kerkering recorded the final out of the eighth inning before surrendering a run in the ninth frame, though the Phillies had built enough of a lead for him to secure his second save. Jhoan Duran, who owns a 1.64 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 28 saves, pitched two innings Saturday and was potentially unavailable Sunday. Kerkering has operated as one of Philadelphia's top right-handed relievers, posting a 3.91 ERA, 1.26 WHIP, 56:27 K:BB and 16 holds across 53 innings this season.

Walker picked up a hold Sunday against the Athletics, allowing one hit and no walks in a scoreless eighth inning. He struck out one.

The 31-year-old left-hander is emerging as a legitimate weapon out of the Baltimore bullpen in 2026. Walker has made 19 appearances for the Orioles, producing a 2.33 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 18:6 K:BB with three holds across 19.1 innings. He has not allowed a run in his last 10 appearances.

Cano picked up the save Sunday against the Athletics. He did not record a strikeout over a perfect inning.

Entering with a three-run cushion, Cano retired the side in order in the ninth inning to secure his third save of the season and a sweep for the Orioles. After a pair of blowup outings in which he surrendered six runs across two-thirds of an inning, the right-hander has bounced back with five consecutive scoreless appearances, though Sunday marked the first time during that stretch that he completed a full inning. Cano's 3.07 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 40:10 K:BB across 44 innings are strong enough to keep him in the ninth-inning equation, though Andrew Kittredge, who had pitched in each of the previous two games, appears to be Baltimore's top option for saves.
