Hoeing surrendered nine earned runs on 10 hits and no walks while striking out one over three innings out of the bullpen in Friday's 16-1 loss to the Brewers.

Though he was spared the loss -- which went to fellow reliever Steven Okert -- Hoeing was responsible for most of the damage that occurred in the Brewers' 12-run second inning. He was charged with eight earned runs in the inning, then gave up one more run in the top of the fifth before being pulled from the contest. After the ugly relief outing, Hoeing's season ERA jumped from 4.18 to 5.17.

Martin worked a perfect ninth inning Friday to record his third save of the season in a 3-2 win over the White Sox.

Two of those saves have come in the last week as Martin fills in for Kenley Jansen (COVID-19) as Boston's closer. The assignment is well-deserved -- Martin hasn't been tagged for a run since late July, reeling off 20 straight scoreless appearances and adding a win and seven holds to his ledger along the way. On the season, the veteran righty sports a scintillating 1.05 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 46:8 K:BB through 51.1 innings.

Crochet (0-2) allowed one earned run on two hits and a walk while striking out one across two-thirds of an inning to take the loss Friday against the Red Sox.

Crochet made his first appearance since being activated from the injured list Wednesday after battling a shoulder injury. He was called upon to protect a one-run lead in the eighth inning, but he allowed an inherited runner to score after allowing a single and a walk. He gave up a run of his own two batters later, so the performance left plenty to be desired. However, with the White Sox out of playoff contention, their primary focus is getting the young reliever some work prior to the close of the regular season.

Doval struck out two over 1.1 perfect innings to earn the save in Friday's 5-1 win over the Dodgers.

Doval cleaned up Tyler Rogers' mess in the eighth inning, and Tyler Fitzgerald provided some extra cushion with a two-run home run in the ninth. This was Doval's first save since Sept. 10 and his first chance in a week. The right-hander is now at a 3.03 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 85:26 K:BB through 65.1 innings while collecting 38 saves in 46 chances this season.

Manaea (7-6) allowed three hits and struck out two without walking a batter over seven scoreless innings to earn the win over the Dodgers on Friday.

Manaea was at his best, throwing 61 of 85 pitches for strikes in an efficient start against a dangerous offense. It was just his second quality start of the year, as he's often been used behind an opener. The southpaw has given up just eight runs (six earned) over 21 innings across four games in September. He's at a 4.51 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 120:42 K:BB through 111.2 innings over 36 appearances (nine starts) this year. Manaea is projected for a home outing against the Padres next week, which would likely be his last appearance of the regular season.

Kimbrel blew the save in Friday's 5-4 extra-inning win over the Mets, allowing one run on one hit and no walks while striking out one over one inning.

Entrusted with a one-run lead in the ninth inning, Kimbrel saw Brett Baty crush a 432-foot solo shot with one out to hand the Phillies' reliever his fourth blown save of the season. Seranthony Dominguez wound up getting the win in the 10th. Kimbrel hadn't blown a save since Aug. 30, throwing eight scoreless innings since. He has a 3.27 ERA, 1.08 WHIP, 88:28 K:BB and 23 saves over 66 innings this year.

McArthur allowed a hit over 1.2 scoreless frames Friday, striking out two and earning a save against Houston.

McArthur entered a 7-5 game in the eighth inning and had little trouble recording the final five outs. He's picked up his first two career saves over the last week and is currently riding a 12.1-inning scoreless streak. McArthur allowed seven runs in one inning in his MLB debut June 28, but in 18.1 innings since, he's registered a 2.45 ERA with a 17:1 K:BB.

Iglesias picked up the save Friday against the Nationals, allowing two hits and no walks while striking out two over a scoreless inning.

After striking out Joey Meneses to start the ninth inning, Iglesias then yielded consecutive singles to Dominic Smith and Keibert Ruiz. The Atlanta closer was able to stem the tide though, striking out Luis Garcia and inducing an Ildemaro Vargas grounder to finish off the game. Iglesias has reached the 30-save milestone for the fourth time in his career, previously achieving it in 2018, 2019 and 2021.

Daniel (0-1) took the loss Friday in the Angels' 8-6 loss to the Twins, allowing three runs on three hits and five walks over 4.1 relief innings. He struck out six.

The 26-year-old right-hander took over for opener Jose Suarez in the second inning and was handed his first MLB loss after serving up a solo homer to Alex Kirilloff in the sixth. Daniel also allowed a pair of runs in the fourth inning while struggling with his command, throwing just 48 strikes on 91 pitches. He has now walked eight batters in 7.1 career MLB innings.

Duran allowed a run on two hits and two walks in one inning Friday, striking out one and earning a save against the Angels.

Duran threw just 17 of 34 pitches for strikes in a shaky performance. He gave up an RBI single to Michael Stefanic but was able to strand three runners to close out the 8-5 win. Duran now has 27 saves in 32 chances while registering a 2.54 ERA and an 81:24 K:BB through 60.1 innings. Friday was his first save since Sept. 12 and he's converted four straight since his last blown save Aug. 30.
