Foley pitched a scoreless inning, walking two batters on his way to a save in Sunday's 4-3 win over the Twins.

Foley was tasked with protecting the team's one-run lead in the top of the ninth inning, and he worked around a pair of two-out walks to secure his fourth save of the season. The right-hander is a perfect 4-for-4 in save opportunities in 2024. He's yet to allow a run over 7.1 innings in seven appearances as Detroit's primary closer.

Swanson (forearm) has pronounced himself ready to go after pitching with Triple-A Buffalo on Thursday and Saturday, Mike Wilner of The Toronto Star reports.

The Blue Jays have been getting by with Chad Green and Yimi Garcia at the back end of the bullpen so far, but they're getting reinforcements back this week with Swanson and Jordan Romano. We'll see how quickly they get inserted into high-leverage roles.

Jansen earned the save Sunday against the Angels, allowing one run on a hit and a walk with two strikeouts across one inning.

Jansen picked up his fourth save of the season Sunday but spoiled his perfect 0.00 ERA in the process. Entering the game with two runs of cushion, Jansen hit Logan O'Hoppe with a cutter, then allowed a single to Mickey Moniak before walking Zach Neto to load the bases. While Anthony Rendon hit a sacrifice fly to plate O'Hoppe, Jansen struck out the next two batters to close out the game. Jansen has walked eight batters in 5.2 innings, but he's been nearly unhittable, with Moniak's single the first hit allowed by Jansen in 2024.

Romano (elbow) has completed his minor-league rehab assignment and is expected to be activated from the 15-day injured list by Tuesday at the latest, Mike Wilner of the Toronto Star reports.

Chad Green (two) and Yimi Garcia (one) have collected the Blue Jays' three saves so far, but Romano is the clear-cut closer for the team so long as he's healthy. Fantasy managers that took a chance on rostering him after his elbow issue cropped up in mid-March may now get five and a half months of possible elite closing numbers, provided the two-time All-Star can regain the form he displayed the past two seasons. For what it's worth, Romano wasn't at his sharpest over his two rehab appearances with Triple-A Buffalo, retiring just three of the eight total batters he faced while giving up one hit and issuing four walks. Those setting weekly lineups will want to see if the Blue Jays make any further announcements regarding whether Romano will be activated ahead of Monday's series opener versus the Yankees, as well as whether he'll be eased into action or take over high-leverage work immediately.

Ferguson (0-2) yielded three runs (two earned) on two hits against the Guardians on Sunday. He blew a save chance and took a loss while recording just two outs.

Ferguson entered a 7-5 game in the 10th inning and allowed Cleveland to secure the walk-off win. He'd allowed just one run through six innings entering Sunday's game but saw his ERA climb to 4.05 after the poor outing. Ferguson has converted one of his two save chances while picking up three holds so far this season.

Clase allowed a run on two hits in one inning during Sunday's win over the Yankees. He blew a save opportunity and did not strike out a batter.

Clase coughed up a run on a double by Anthony Volpe before the Guardians eventually won in the 10th inning. It was Clase's first blown save of the year after converting his first four chances. It was also the first run he allowed after beginning the season with a six-inning scoreless streak. This blown save won't impact his role as Cleveland's closer.

Willingham was optioned to Triple-A Rochester following Sunday's 7-6 loss to the Athletics.

Willingham was called up Friday, but he failed to appear in any of the team's three contests against the A's before returning to the minors. The right-hander will now have to wait for his next chance to join the major-league roster while left-hander Mitchell Parker will take his roster spot with Washington.

Uribe (1-1) took the loss and blew a save Sunday against Baltimore. He allowed three hits and two runs over one inning without logging a strikeout.

It wasn't a traditional save chance, as Uribe trotted out to the mound for the seventh inning with a one-run lead and gave up three consecutive singles to open the frame. With one run already plated and runners on first and third with no outs, Uribe got Adley Rutschman to ground into a double play, but the runner on third scored and gave the Orioles the lead. Uribe has blown back-to-back save chances after starting the campaign 3-for-3, falling to a 7.50 ERA over six innings. With the Brewers near the top of the National League standings, Uribe could start leaking ninth-inning work if he doesn't turn things around.

Kimbrel earned the save Sunday against Milwaukee, allowing two hits and no walks with three strikeouts over a scoreless inning.

Kimbrel allowed multiple hits for the first time all season, allowing runners to reach first and third off of a pair of singles before striking out back-to-back batters to close out the game. Since blowing a save chance in his first appearance of 2024, Kimbrel has rattled off five scoreless innings and has 11 strikeouts with no walks on the season.

Treinen (chest) faced a pair of live hitters ahead of Sunday's series finale with the Padres, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Treinen was able to face Austin Barnes and Taylor Trammell on Sunday, pitching to his first pair of live hitters since heading to the 15-day injured list March 19. The 35-year-old is expected to have a similar session Thursday before potentially launching a rehab assignment, according to manager Dave Roberts.
