Scott earned the save Tuesday against the Giants, working around a pair of walks while striking out one in a scoreless ninth inning.

Scott didn't make things easy on himself, issuing a pair of one-out walks before striking out Thairo Estrada and inducing a game-ending pop fly from Wilmer Flores to grab his second save of the year. It was ultimately a nice bounce-back outing from Scott after the left-hander allowed three runs while blowing a save against Atlanta in his last appearance Sunday. Overall, Scott is 0-3 with a 4.15 ERA, 1.85 WHIP and an alarming 25.6 percent walk rate through his first 8.2 innings this year. While the left-hander remains the top closing option in Miami, Scott hasn't seen many save chances with the Marlins struggling out of the gate.

Foley earned his fifth save of the season Tuesday against the Rangers after he allowed a hit and a walk over a scoreless two-thirds of an inning.

Foley entered with a 4-2 advantage and needed just the final two outs, though he made things interesting by giving up a single and a walk to the first two batters he faced. The right-hander battled back quickly and retired the next two hitters on three pitches, and he's now a perfect 5-for-5 in save chances. Foley has surrendered just one unearned run through nine outings this season, and he appears to have a decent hold on the closer role as the only Detroit reliever with multiple saves.

Maciejewski cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Tuesday.

Maciejewski was designated for assignment by the Yankees over the weekend but will stick in the organization after he passed through waivers unclaimed. The left-hander delivered a scoreless frame after being promoted for his MLB debut April 8.

The Dodgers optioned Vanasco to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Vanasco threw two scoreless innings and struck out a batter during his MLB debut Monday, but he'll now return to Triple-A in favor of Kyle Hurt and Eduardo Salazar. Vanasco has been impressive since reaching Triple-A toward the end of last season and could return to Los Angeles later in the year.

The Dodgers optioned Ramirez to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Ramirez appeared in two games after being called up on Saturday, pitching three scoreless innings while striking out one batter and walking one. He'll head back to Triple-A to make room for Kyle Hurt, who was recalled to start Tuesday's game, but Ramirez could return later in the year if the Dodgers find themselves in need of a fresh bullpen arm.

Hurt was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City and will start Tuesday against the Nationals, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Hurt has given up one earned run across 6.2 career MLB innings, and Tuesday will mark his first time starting a big-league game. The 25-year-old righty has made two starts in Triple-A this season but has only been stretched out to roughly 45 pitches, so he could struggle to work deep enough into Tuesday's outing to qualify for a win. Ryan Yarbrough is expected to serve in bulk relief once Hurt is removed from the game.

The Dodgers called up Salazar from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Salazar was in camp as a NRI and will now garner a spot on the 40-man roster, although a corresponding move in that regard has yet to be revealed. The reliever posted a 8.03 ERA in eight appearances for the Reds last season, but he was impressive at Oklahoma City early this minor-league season with a 2.87 ERA in 15.2 innings. The move comes with the Dodgers needing length for their bullpen game Tuesday versus the Nationals.

The White Sox optioned Shuster to Triple-A Charlotte on Tuesday.

Shuster will lose his spot on Chicago's big-league roster to make room for Jonathan Cannon, who was promoted from Triple-A in a corresponding move. The 25-year-old southpaw was solid during his brief stint in the majors, surrendering just one earned run across 6.1 innings through two appearances. If Shuster is able to continue finding success in the minors, he could return to the White Sox as a multi-inning relief option later this season.

Duran (oblique) threw a 25-pitch bullpen session Tuesday and expects to face live batters Friday, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.

It's an encouraging step for Duran, who recently progressed to mound work after starting the season on the injured list with an oblique strain. The right-hander should face hitters a few times before moving on to a rehab assignment, and he could be back with the Twins before the end of April.

Perez (oblique) has been throwing bullpen sessions and will be ready for a live batting practice session soon, Rich Dubroff of BaltimoreBaseball.com reports.

Perez would presumably be asked to make a rehab appearance or two before returning, but that should be around the corner. The left-handed reliever has been out since the opening weekend of the season with a right oblique strain.
